I finally know the definition of what "salt of the earth" means. Without men like this witness, men like Alex could not exist. So impressive how he recalls every little detail and you do not even think to question his recollection. Another impressive witness, period, not in favour of either side, just telling the truth.

@@lifesabeach8133 wrong, no. It's obvious people demonize Maggie and Paul, and this whole family because of Alex's mess while it's all pure gossip and yes, also lies for money, fame, and media because now all media do programs abt them and people like sheep follow black&white narration while every human is complex&it's never that easy.
By all honest accounts, Maggie and Paul were good ppl, not perfect, but good, no one is perfect! I listened to this call and Maggie literally didn't do anything wrong she was just rather annoyed by questions because she wanted to make sure the help is on its way nothing more and she was just nervous like most people would be. there is zero evidence this was smth more than an accident. Now, later Alex ofc used this terrible situation to steal money from the housekeeper's sons and that is a crime and unforgivable, but it was Alex's scheme, and still, to this day, it is financial crime nothing more. If I see any evidence it was different I will believe it was smth sinister and more but now there is absolutely zero to believe this, except gossip and half-truths by people who now earn money, demonizing this whole family.
As for Paul, I watched all the documentaries, including Netflix one, and his friends clearly demonize him as well in order to shift the whole blame for the boat accident onto him, while the truth is, all of them were responsible for what happened to Mallory, including Mallory herself, period. There were not little children, they have their own brains and free will, yet they were all terribly drunk and were drinking the whole night. Now, sure - Paul was most drunk and probably drove the boat but this other guy who was next to him suddenly acts all moral and offended on the part of Mallory in the documentary, but he was the one who went with Paul to the bar and drank more with him, after the party!!
He may not have been driving the boat, but by going to a bar with Paul and drinking more, he was instrumental in the accident. But he tries to present himself as a victim who did nothing wrong, it's all the fault of this evil and privileged Paul 'boo'. They were all friends with Paul and liked the power and money of the Murdaugh family when this power brought benefits and pleasure to them!!, suddenly, when it is now fashionable to dunk on the Murdaugh family, they were all innocent only Paul was evil. Nonsense.
They were all adults and they all got drunk that night and went out in the boat. Paul may have been the most guilty, but they are not innocent - fact. The only really honest friend in this Netflix documentary is this childhood friend of Paul's, Mallory's boyfriend, who yes, blames Paul, but he also honestly blames himself, and although he was very hurt by Mallory's death, he also bravely says in this film that when Paul was not drunk he was a good, warm person, and he didn't deserve to be murdered like this by his own father.
And it's true. Paul made mistakes, but he was addicted to alcohol himself, and when you're drunk you're not yourself either, and yes, Paul is a victim of his own father, not only because of the cruel death but also because of his messed up life. It's clear that Alex passed his mistakes and addictions on to his children (the gene for alcohol or drug addiction is in the DNA, it's been proven), spoiled them, and never really showed them a good way in life, as a father should (because it's not about money). Children do not become like this by themselves.
Paul and Maggie weren't without fault - I'm not saying that - but no human deserves to be brutally murdered by a loved one. So stop endlessly attacking this whole family. They too are Alex's victims and some of the things about them are absolutely lies and rumors. You have no empathy.

That is a massive farm, now that it’s been proven that Alex was with the deceased at the kennels just minutes before they were killed. So, even if he turned around to go back to the house in those few minutes, he should’ve heard the gunshots or have encountered the criminals on their way to the kennels and how did these bandits know that both the deceased would be there at Moselle, specifically at the kennels? The amount of deception they must be feeling over all this must be devastating to them. They too have lost a lot including thier livelihood. I think Paul and Maggie got there before Alex and one of them sprayed down the kennels. The hose was laying on the ground during the video so whoever killed Maggie and Paul put the hose back up because they wouldn't have had time.
