what about Velvet? Mimic the ability to copy someone's else movement/position (not to be confused with her weapon, which copies *_weapons_*, not *_movement/position_*)
Nah I feel that's more of a skill that anyone can do. Everyone is capable of mimicking actions after all I was able to become the best in my guard by mimicking my captains.
I got the feeling that him being drunk actually gave him some kind of power or relieved some sort of side effect of his semblance. I got this feeling because those who know him well seemed to dislike that he was drunk, but accepted it. I could very well be wrong though.
So Ruby's jutsu is the body flicker technique, Weiss and Winter's is summoning, Blake, Sun and Flynt's is shadow clones, Yang's is Nine-Tails chakra mode, Pyrrha is Magnet style, Neo's is genjustsu and flying raijin, Emerald uses genjutsu, and Qrow is transformation jutsu.
I believe Ren's semblence is invisibility. In the World of Remnant video on aura, Ruby dashed onto the screen, indicating her speed. Sun did a kung-fu-like kick onto the screen, most likely indicating his "clones" (I use the quotation marks because I don't know what else to call them". However, Ren just appears out of nowhere. If this is keeping with the other two, it implies that he can turn invisible on command. Also, in the first episode of Volume 3, when Nora was listing off Team JNPR's abilities, she described Ren as "...basically a ninja...". Ninja's are notorious for being practically invisible when in combat, so I believe that Ren's semblence is either turning invisible or being incredibly translucent.
+John Walker If your theory is right, then fudge for my OC character. Oh I'm sure there are other RWBY OCs out there with invisibility semblance, but I want to stick to the rule, "Each semblance is unique." Kind of hard to do with invisibility.
+John Walker I like your theory, but I have a theory of my own. In the first season, when phyrra is explaining what Aura is, there is a cut scene of Ren fighting a snake type grimm with his hands, since something happened to his weapons (i forgot what happened to them). Most characters use their weapons to fight, and not very many of them fight without them, much less being good at it. Ren ends up killing the snake, seemingly but forcing some kind of energy from inside him into the grimm, destroying the insides of the grimm. I have no idea what that would be called though.
+Fox Fire Except Fox did a similar move in Breach (Ch. 12, Season 2) when he made the Ursa explode. In both cases, they were merely using their aura as an attack force. I view it as being similar to the principles of Chi/Ki manipulation. Therefore any hunter/huntress with excellent aura control is capable of it.
yang has "phoenix powers" witch is what turns her eyes read and allows her to hit twice as hard as she is but this only one of many abilities that come with this power.
I don't know for sure but Velvet might have some sort of copy semblance. Yeah her weapon can copy the weapons of others but her physical movements directly copy the users also with seemingly no practice.
I'd call it Kinetic Redirection. Not exactly a stretch as she absorbs the kinetic energy of an opponent's blow and then usually returns it via an Ember Celica enhanced punch to the face.
there's a theory about Jaune's semblance being a shield much more stronger then regular aura, wich allows him to regenerate very quickly too, but it's just a theory (1- I dont believe on that theory lol :v; 2- sorry for my bad english)
It was hinted that Cardin's punch activated his semblance, according to the devs. And I think he meant to say it rebounds the attack as well (what happened to Cardin's punch is that Cardin's hand felt the force instead of Jaune)
Fantastically narrated video- your descriptions were so concise and yet left nothing out. Couldn't help but notice your choice of background music too- it made me think somebody had booted Symphonia in my living room for a moment!
Fox did the same thing as Ren (vol. 2 last episode), I don't think it was their semblance, it must be something like aura manipulation, like "projecting the 'forcefield' into the ennemy" (sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say :P )
Actually Qrow's assemblence is well....I guess you can call it Bad Luck Charm but, it activates weather he's alone or around people there's a high chance something bad can happen . His assemblence activates weather he likes it or not. (I'm still not sure what its called)
It would be cool if semblences can have a second or even third form as the invidividual becomes more powerful and skilled. Kinda like super saiyan forms, that I'll nickname stages. Like what if Yang's Second Stage Semblance allows her to project fire from her body, and even fly like firebenders? What if the Schnees' summoning abilities is a Second Stage Semblence? What if Ruby's silver eyes thing was her Second Stage Semblence?! Basically, this is a mechanic to allow more variety of powers and abilities within the same character as they grow with the series. It would be boring if the show went on for 9 or so seasons without our protagonists gaining any new powers. Yeah, it's fun to see new characters reveal their semblences, or have existing characters with unknown semblences reveal theirs. But this show does revolve around a set cast of protagonists, and we're going to be seeing the most of them, which means they need to become more interesting as time goes on, not remain the same. I mean, how excited was everyone once we saw Weiss use summoning? Imagine that for every protagonist!
Weiss's semblance is evolving so that she can summon, as you said. But you remember in Heroes and Monsters when everyone thought Adam cut off Blake's head? That was much more than her typical shadow. She managed to make one for Yang too, along with modest teleportation. So what you're asking for is already happening. Maybe not to such a scale, but it is happening. I'm not sure if we'll see many new abilities, but characters are also getting better at their semblances. Look at Ruby. In the first volume, she occasionally used her speed to travel a few feet. However, by the beginning of the second volume she was able to travel across the entire cafeteria fast enough to create a strong wind to throw any random objects lying around at her enemies, in this case Team JNPR. So... yeah. The semblances have and will changed/evolved.
Connor Duquette Yeah, I noticed Blake's thing and many people pointed it out. But as I said, if our main heroes don't get more powers and improvements, perhaps even transformations, 6 or 7 more seasons of this show will get boring. A main thing with action anime is how much the main characters improve and show off new powers and skills. Goku's new attacks and additional super saiyan forms. Yuske's demon transformation and his Spirit Gun variations. Digimon's new digivolution forms. They must get more powerful and more interesting skills and powers.
you know vol 1 and 2 were about chill (and slow plot develpoment) vol.3 was a completely unleashed plot from vol.1/2 and by far the most fucked up vol. while 4 was a volume of story, their changing their path (FOR NOW) so don't expect much fight in vol.5 but more story I know I can be wrong but that's the most expectation you can get from vol.5 besides, I wouldn't call it stages but more like control over their own semblances like said above Blake managed to clone Yang that wouldn't be a next stage.. but more like taking better control over your semblance like Ruby, she couldn't control at all her semblance, she could just go fast af but not control it, however in vol.4 it was shown that she can now control it, because she can change directions while in mid-air Yang its seriously no need to cast fire however it can just keep growing.. like instead of duplicating the dmg she receives, thrice it. while Weiss... Schnee family has heredity over their semblances so any Schnee can use Glyphs and summon anything they've killed before however in vol.3 and before the last episodes of vol.4 it was shown that Weiss could only summon using her Anger emotion, but at I think... was episode 10? vol.4? when she masters the summon (calling the knight that made her scar) so Weiss is already trying to control over her semblance (Winter already did it) so yeah and Glynda has a complete control over her semblance is not about upgrading but about perfection
Qrow's semblance is that he carries misfortune (Vol 4 Chapter 8, 'A Much-Needed Talk.) He can change into a crow, but it isn't his semblance. Which makes me wonder...if Raven can change into a raven then what is her semblance? We saw that she could create portals, but I don't think that's it. I think that's just because of her weapon.
Josephine Tu I have a theory that if Qrow's semblence is misfortune, then maybe Raven's is luck? Since they're brother and sister AND seem to be opposite of each other (with their motives and stuff). I dunno, just my theory.
Hmm maybe. Another semblance I want to see is Jaune's semblance. Also, what is Ren's? We see him making shields and then sensing enemies (Tyrian in Vol 4 Ch 6).
i dont know if you noticed but in the "fight" with Qrow and Winter, Qrows eyes turned red in the same way that Yangs do so maby he has a similar semblance to Yang.
his eye sparkled then he exerted a massive amount of force, also maybe the reason yang's eyes turn red is because that is the branwen's semblance and as she has taken her fathers eye colour unlike rwby who took her mothers special eye colour her eyes turn red when using her semblance whereas qrow and raven have red eyes and they sparkle when hit
velvets semblance is mimicry which allows her to mimic the fighting styles of other hunters/huntress it goes hand in hand with her weapon which allows her to temporarily copy the weapons of others . she cannot copy other semblances and weapon moves that rely on semblances
Zero the Faceless Uhh, she was using this ability before she actually got her hands on Amber. So I'm gonna stick to her Semblance being control over glass.
+Schwarzer Blitz Ironwood says that people have being putting dust into clothing for centuries so possible its that she uses that ring on her finger which glows whenever she controls glass
Option two for Qrow; It's possible that he isn't able to shapeshift, but in fact has a Crow that follows him, while Yang's Semblance is hereditary shared by her, Raven, and Qrow, as when taking an attack by Winter, his eyes glint similarly to Yang's during her semblance. Also, judging by the game, it's possible that Lie Ren's Semblance is the ability to teleport short distances and project his aura in abnormally strong bursts.
I don't know why but i have the feeling that ozpin doesn't have a semblance.don't get me wrong he is probably the most powerful character in RWBY so far but excepte for the incredible movement speed he has (which is not unique and not a semblance because eahc semblance are supposed to be unique) there is no semblance shown so my theory is that he actually uses magic... there are many element that COULD prove that he's the wizard of the four maidens legend (which could be soooooo cool) : -first he says to Pyrrha " would you believe me if i told you that one's been around SINCE i was boy" which means at least that he was born centuries ago, and we know with the world of remnant episodes that the wizard can live for like centuries so it is not impossible that he went on to live hundreds of years more so it could be him -then he know about magic (real magic) and told it to the other head masters ironwood and Qrow so he was the first person still alive to know about it and who better than a wizard can know about magic BUT he could be the LAST person alive to tell that story so he learned from someone but it would have be a seriously small circle --plus he's capable of fighting cinder with the fall maiden's power better than anyone he therefore has almost equivalent powers to her and, given that he told to Pyrrha that magic was well above semblance either he has the strongest semblance ever due to his long life or he's using magic(what could explain his force field and incredible ability to "fly" or do extra high jumps )-his name OZpin like the OZ magician give the fact that almost all the character are inspired of the fairy tales characters or history according to their nature so if he was a wizard i'd call him "OZ"-and last the relationship Salem (the last character we can see in episode 12 of wol 3) seems to have with him like omg big boss of evil dudes etc and the fact that they apperently are equals from this even the name of that antagonist make sense "salem" sounds like sorcery (sorcery vs magic got it ?) and the fact that there are both narrator for the show that's it i hope you read so far i know my theory have some BIG HOLES but i think it's worth to try and obviously i would be glad if you have some comment to make about this ha and by the way jaune's semblance could be anything else than this (think about when he killed a ursa with spaming attacks )
Saying "Since I was a boy" shouldn't point to he's the wizard. Honestly, I think he's the original wizard too, but saying that is just a saying, nothing more. Just for future reference
yeah i thought to but when Pyrrha says "even you are not THAT old" it could mean that the legend is so old that if he lived at that time he's probably really old too (and at my knowledge the only person in the lore that have lived that time is the wizard) you could say it's a manner of peaking but in that scene he's always straight forward he's so serious that he tells Pyrrha "do i look like im joking ?" yet there is a problem to that theory: in world of remnant the wizard is a 80-90 aged guys ozpin clearly looks like he's 45-55 years old but i heard a theory saying that it is related to time itself if that's true he may can manipulate his age too
I can prove more than just Ozpin being the wizard, but let's start with him. The wizard of Oz's full name comes out to be OZPINHEAD as initials, and he began speaking about the stories around the introduction of the maidens. I highly doubt he's dead. Now, moving to the maidens. Glenda Goodwitch is a maiden. The maidens relate to the wicked witches and good witches, and the good witch of the south was Glinda Goodwitch. Salem is a maiden. Since she is implied to be stronger than Cinder, she is the wicked witch of the west. Cinder would then be the wicked witch of the east. We don't for sure know the good witch of the north. Now Ruby is Dorothy. Ruby slippers. The original production had silver slippers. Tell me, why are her eyes significant? Because they're silver. Jaune might be the cowardly lion, tin man would be Ironwood, and scarecrow would be Qrow. Mind-blowing, eh?
yeah but it make sense although i don't think salem is a maiden she's the strongest antagonist so far (theoricly) and she has a special link to ozpin so i doubt that if he is the wizard she's just a maiden Furthermore i saw a lot of theories that claim that either raven or summer (ruby's mom) are maidens which make sense when you look at the portals used by raven (same symbols that the glove used by cinder) but i don't really like theories because they depend of you lecture of the show so if think it's a bit sad because if your theory is right that means you got the same vision than the creator and will probably see the things coming which would spoil all the pleasure (paradox of the seer : you see it coming so you're not surprised or sad or happy and the life loose all its taste)
I can't wait for Volume 4. Seen from leaked trailers, it looks like Ruby is working with the leftover members of JNPR (At the end when she takes a call on her scroll you can see Jaune, Nora, and Ren's faces on the screen. Also, I think Jaune's semblence is some sort of power-up to his allies. During the JNPR vs BRNZ fight, Ren is easily knocked down by one of the members (I forgot their names, its the dude with the zappy thing) very easily, but when Jaune tells him to "distract the sniper", the same dude attacks him and he defeats him easy. He's also based off of Joan of Arc, who lead an army. (I dunno much about Joan of Arc), and also, I think I remember something about Joan getting betrayed and burned to death, which leads me to believe Cinder will have something to do with Jaune. She did kill his sorta-girlfriend.
you forgot velvet's semblance. it's to construct any weapon with some sort of grid, it be anything she saw. such as ruby's scythe to penny's sword wings.
that's her weapon not her semblance. her weapon makes her copies of others weapons. her semblance is more than likely the ability to temporarily copy others fighting styles
I thought Crow's semblance is that twinkle in his eye when fighting Winter. After that was shown he was able to create a crater with the amount of force behind his swing. He's also related to Yang who has a power semblance as well.
+autisonm I believe the Strength boost (which I refer to as Beserker Rage) comes from Yang's father, and the Xio Long side of her Heritage. Qrow and Raven will likely have matching semblances though.
You forgot Scarlet David's super luck, and that lady that farts rainbows, and dont forget Neptune, what if he becames a kraken or a water dragon if he absorbs or soaked too much water that's why he was afraid to tuch it, well that's just my theory so forget it
Jay En Jee you can't say "you forgot" when they haven't been shown and then say your personal theory behind their semblance's in a video based on the ones that have been physically shown
My theory on Jaune's is that his semblance is most likely leadership as he is able to assess battle situations and formulate plans and commands on the fly. this is mostly evident in episode 8 players and pieces
One question about Weiss. What is naturally part of her attacks is naturally part of her Symblence and what is the result of the dust she carries with her?
Ethian Reed actually, its "Pain is Power." Yang uses the damage others project onto her to add to her already incredible strength. Yang: * is strong * Person: * punches Yang * Yang: **EYES GET RED* **HAIR BECOMES FIRE (idk)** Person: * dies from the awesomeness of Yang *
actually no... Yang can go berserk even if someone didn't hurt her but someone she likes, or even just does something that makes her furious, so its more an emotional than physical thing...
She absorbs the hits. Just as the video said, the Aura is a protective shield which takes the hits instead of the person themselves. Once it is depleted, the person is rendered useless and weak. But every time Yang takes a hit, her Aura absorbs that and transfers it into firing power. Literally, Ruby kind of implies that when RWBY were up against Roman in that robot lol.
Velvets semblance is her ability to mimic he friends actions. This works well with her weapon, which is a box that can project weapons that her friends used based on what pictures she takes pictures of. Also the difference between Weiss and winter is that Weiss uses her glyphs to manipulate dust, and im guessing that ozpin has some type of manipulation over time?
Great video! Something to add would be that Yang's semblence seems to be somewhat tied to her emotional state, specifically anger. I really hope we get more details on other semblances (and semblences themselves) next season. Also, I'm surprised you didn't touch on Cinder, Raven, Velvet, Mercury, Penny and Ozpin (although we do lack specifics on their semlences). Maybe a Part 2 or a Semlence Theory Discussion video?
Olivier vdB Well, we don't know to what extent she is. We do know she has an aura, which normal robots don't have. We also know that semblances are tied to aura. Furthermore, Penny needs a way to control her strings, not to mention the beams that shoots out o the swords/guns. Some sort of semblance would be the most logical explanation. General Ironwood has also said that Atlas has the technology to extract aura and put it into something else, but nothing has every been mentioned about a synthetic aura, which leads me to believe that Penny's Aura used to belong to a living person, probably someone who resembles Penny alot, or maybe even the "real/original" Penny. Lastly, Penny's name and character is based off of Pinochio, a puppet that came to life, and later became a real boy. This makes me believe that Penny is very far from an ordinary robot.
My theory on Velvet's Semblance is that she can copy anyones fighting style and moves just by looking at them. It would explain how she is able to us all those weapons she copies.
MrShadow974 It's more or less confirmed to be connected to her camera. She can somehow copy weapons and weapon proficiency when she takes a picture of it. However, she can only use it for a small amount of time, and the pictures are consumed in the process.
im not a native English speaker and i never had to learn the word neopolatin before. i did have a suspicion about that being the joke because her designed really did remind me of neopolatin ice cream (here called napolitano, which also reminded me of her name a little bit) but i try not to assume things.
Nora Valkyrie's electric kinetic energy absorption makes sense, because a Valkyrie, while associated with Norse mythology, is known for great physical strength. Neo's illlusions are not only 'telepathic' but are also holographic, as they can be 'shattered' upon impact. However Emerald's illusions are strictly 'telepathic'. Adam has better not be seen without his Moonslice sword, because his unprotected body seems to have no Semblance. You know, I've created in my own mind a character for this RWBY Series. Most likely because you can't help being a part of T.V. series that look so good.
i think cinder's semblence is to create and control glass as we have seen in the fight against Ember. and Ruby mentions her use of glass when they fought in dance infiltration
+EruptionFang sir I don't mean to be rude this is just a theory and I am not try to prove any one wrong but pyrha said that jaune has a lot of aura so I think that his semblance might not have been revealed yet.I haven't Don much research into it so don't take my word but it is possible that he has a former of semblance that allows him to command or unite people like ark the heroine that he is based off of.
But we've seen Jaune's in action. It hasn't fully formed, yet, but we have hints as to what it does. Ren hasn't used his, or if he has, it hasn't been clear. Remember, when he blocked the snake, it was just his aura, not his semblance.
Qrows semblance is ACTUALLY a passive semblance to bring misfortune and badluck to those around him whether on purpose or not... he cannot turn it off. It is his fault Summer Rose is dead (or so it is presumed) and remember that absolutely pointless scene where the bartender knocks over a glass and breaks it? That was his semblance. Theres no wondr why he is always drunk if everyone he loves has to stay away or face severe misfortune. When Ruby was facing the scorpion (I forgot his name) the wooden post almost fell on her. When Qrow faced Winter, its no coincidence that Winter was caught by the headmaster. Qrow is sent on (SOLO) suicide missions all of the time. And now you know why.
Yang's is Rage. The hits she's took turns into rage. U do a ok/good job explaining though. Just make sure you check with the Rooster teeth site to make sure you got the facts right.
Qrows semblance is to see 20 seconds into the future I think. Knowing when an enemy will appear ahead o time and when a fight is about to be ended by an outside force. Would also fit in with his symbol of a cog in the eye of a bird.
It was that AND the fact that he saw the gryphon coming for ironwood before it had even appeared. I looked into it and apparently in the poem he's based on (As well as being the scarecrow) there is a crow who can preemptively see when someone is going to die. A verse from the poem was written on the blackboard next to his symbol.
Also, he showed up just in time to save Amber's life but not in time to help in the fight. Most likely if he hadn't appeared at that moment they would have killed her right after taking her power, similar to the crow in the poem. The crow in the poem also had a sister, the parallels are definitely there. What could the gear in the iris imply if not a connection to time like Ozpin's
Considering the end of last season AND the fact that he has a celebrity voice actor I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see Qrow again for a while. Remember everyone thought we would get answers about Raven last season and we got nothing, they love dicking fans around like that. Personally I can't wait for Jaune to meet Pyrrha's mom, that that will be heart breaking.
Qrow's Semblance is that it causes misfortune to whoever is near him. This is why he told Ruby to get back when he fought Tyrian in Volume 4. Just a fun fact.
Honestly Weiss's semblance seems like the best. Everyone else's is just a single effect or ability but the glyph semblance is basically just an entire subset of abilities. Time, gravity, forces, summoning, etc. It is really pretty awesome.
Qrow may have a similar aspect to yang`s semblance. During his scuffle with Winter, he took a hit and his destructive force jumped up to the point him hitting the ground formed a crater. Its the scene where Winter hit Qrow in the kisser with her swords hilt, his eye had a flash, she backs up with the face she knew something big was coming. He only took a few direct hits, but after each his destructive power then his speed jumped up after she kicked his head, surprising even Winter at first.
Yang's semblance just might be strength all together cause in the yellow trailer it showed that she used her semblance willingly against junior when he pulled out her hair and the same in volume 1 when the ursai attacked her and a stand of her hair was floating down to the ground her semblance activated, but it also might have something to do with anger as well
Yangs is damage absorption and damage retalation, deals back 2 to 5 times damage taken to yang but can leave her taxed if she cant focus that damage into her attacks, thuse why she lost to Adam in one hit cause she had lost focus when attacking, it also increases her deffence but only for a short time
if I were to make my own semblance it would be Energy absorption. He or she would be able to go into a meditating state that is extremely fragile and would weaken him/her when hit.But if he/she finishes her meditating state he/she would disable all energy related semblance like pyhra's (sorry if spelled wrong) magnetic energy, wiess's glyphs and such. But it cannot disable physical semblance like ruby.He/she can only use this when he is deeply connected with a friend or loved one.And after using this the one who he/she is connected to will either will get tired or faint but if this character's connection is already weakened he/she will faint
we know what Qrows semplence is now bad luck. virtually everyone within close proximity to him experience of bad luck. From things falling two malfunctions
Hmmm how about Ozpin? In the fight scene vs Cinder, he moved extremely fast. And the green shield seemed to provided with green electricity. Maybe his semblance is electricity? could explain the speed and power. Although he is a bit too mysterious...
the reason because of that is because he drinks a lot of coffee in season 2 but its revealed that its a weapon that shoots fire but to shoots fire you need dust so HE IS LITERALLY DRINKING FIRE DUST
Glinda also has the power to control the weather, as seen in the very first episode when she battles Cinder when using her telekinesis while the moves the broken stone from the building there was a thunder cloud forming. Meaning she can do those two/one thing(s) at once.
All semblances from volumes 1-5 plus a theory of a semblance that we may have already seen Ruby: uses speed to burst away leaving behind a flurry of Rose petals Weiss: creates glyphs that allow her to create platforms for her to walk on walls, ceilings and even bounce off of mid air, time dilation glyphs which speed up her or another's movements, and summoning glyphs which summon astral copies of enemies she has slain Blake: creates empty copies of herself which takes the hit while she escapes free of harm Yang: absorbs damage from hits she takes and adds them to her own physical strength Jaune: amplifies another persons aura to where they can heal major or even fatal wounds Nora: absorbs electricity and adds that to her own physical strength Pyrrha: uses polarity to manipulate any metal objects Ren: masks emotions so that he can focus and makes him invisible to Grimm Sun: creates astral clones of himself that aid him in battle (there is a theory that his semblance could be solar powered) Qrow: brings bad luck to everyone around him and it's always active Raven: creates portals that take her to people who she has bonded with Winter: has the same semblance as Weiss (but has mastered all aspects of it) Goodwitch: uses telekinesis to move objects with her mind and can fix things that are broken Velvet: mimics another persons movements so that she can fight exactly like they can Flynt: creates 3 identical copies of himself that fight and move in sync with the original Emerald: makes people hallucinate and see things that aren't really there Neo: uses illusions to teleport leaving behind a copy of herself which shatters like glass Adam: absorbs energy from attacks he blocks to create one huge slice which can cut through aura Hazel: blocks out pain Cinder: heats dust from any kind of turf and solidifies it into glass shards (maybe)
+Pulse Fel They both might play off each other. Perhaps she needs her Semblance to summon the copies of weapons she's photographed with her camera. This is backed up by the fact that Sun's clones have about the same visual effect as Velvet's light copies, just in a different color.
It's still kinda unknown what Jaun's semblance is, but it's very heavily hinted that what stopped Cardin from hitting Jean in the first volume while in the forest has something to do with his semblance. In context it only came out when Jaun defended his friends and was attacked for it. A semblance very appropriate considering the source of Jaun's character: Joan of Arc. The semblance itself seems to be highly defensive in nature, Cardin attempted to hit Jaun and instead was hurt himself in a flash of white light. (The color of Jaun's aura I might add)
For those who have not caught up, minor spoiler: Qrows semblance is revealed to give others bad luck, no matter who it may be. That's why when he left the bar, he gave the bar owner money, walked out and the glass broke. And how winter schnee got caught by her boss before she could hit qrow. There is a whole video dedicated on when his semblance was used.
I loved that scene so much. Now that I know what Qrows semblance is, it's really cool the subtle ways they show it off. As you just said the glass breaking. I feel like another way you could describe his semblance is Anti-plot armor. :)
Ozpin's is clearly time manipulation of some sort, Velvet's seems to be related to her box and mimicry, Cinder obviously has some fire and heat stuff going on (plus Fall Maiden powers), and there are a bunch of others hinted at during Vytal festival matches for other teams. Don't claim to list all of them if you don't.
Ruby's semblance is being able to turn into rose petals, which is what allows her to move at the speed that she reaches when using it. Because of how light the rose petals she turns into are, she can move without worrying about drag.
I think Ozpin's is time/speed within a certain area. Slowing down objects within a certain area around himself. Could get much out of his 0:33 second fight with Cinder though :(
Glynda Goodwitch her semblance is known to be an automatic vacuum cleaner. Rest easy any mess you deal in your house is no problem as long as you have this vacuum cleaner hanging by
sorry to be a stickler but soda cans aren't always in aluminium, they can also come in tinplate ( iron coated in tin) so they are magnetic. So in the food fight the soda cans could just be in tinplate instead of her controlling non magnetic metals. Love your vids by the way
You forgot *Weiss* 's other glyph you covered movement and summoning but what about the glyph she got the hang of before she was even shown to summon.... I'll put it a little lower in-case you want to get the answer on your own. The time dilation glyph now the name would imply you are slowing down time for someone and to them everyone else is moving faster making it near impossible to dodge said attackers, OR! slowing down the perception of time to allow someone to get perfectly time action and reactions. Yet the show has a simplified version which just ends up being haste on who ever she casts it upon also like other glyphs she can self target this one, casting haste on herself to lay down a set of glyphs faster or even move between a set at a faster rate. Just like push has a counter glyph of pull, i can see development on this glyph being in the sense of slow to maybe even the more drastic stop
**Also** unless *Weiss* defeated a painting I think the summoning glyph has variations Winters being defeated foes, as where Weiss can summon what comes to her imagination but at a increased cast time the knight in the painting compared to the boar after the concert.
*Jaune* s semblance is not a shield, a lot of people overlook the fact that auras are shields used to protect ones self from bodily harm, it's like saying Jaunes semblance is healing due to that's what his aura did after it activated. Seeing how auras are shields in the show and has been proven to be that way, yet not all auras heal there owner i do see this possible. But I could see his semblance being a form of communicate with the dead or it having to do with resurrecting Pyrrha (you see Ren activate Noras aura without a chant) yet Jaunes aura had a little chant to go with it that I think will have some future meaning however little or big.
*Yang* s semblance requires her to take damage in order to send it double for what she received, beyond that they dont dwell on specifics examples being AOE, DOT, self inflicted or even friendly fire are not elaborated on at all in this, then again I guess these just fall into tactics and circumstances...
*Nora* , Produce...... Uhhh Not Yet.... Channel is such a great choice of word for this semblance due to the fact that when Noras semblance is used it doesn't seem that she is actually able to store this charge almost as if she kept the electric charge in for a period of time there would be no bonus effect and the electricity would eventually dissipate I'd like to see a elaborated storage of this semblance so she could literally store up charges of this effect..
Just a heads up, **Aluminum is magnetic in one sense or another** , defined at the end of this semblance pointer. *Pyrrhas* semblance was once theorized by Mercury to actually need to have had contact with Pyrrha or come into contact with something Pyrrha is manipulating at the time, then again he had just found out about it. If this is true then non metallic objects grant her manipulation over metallic objects as seen in the food fight episode when Pyrrha touches the floor to manipulate the soda cans. We can say that in strong magnetic fields aluminum can become slightly magnetic but in everyday experience it does not exhibit magnetism. It does, however, interact with magnets in very useful and interesting ways. If I remember right metal recyclers actually manipulate magnetic fields(maybe it was electromagnetic fields) to sort Ferrous metals (like iron or steel) from other non-Ferrous metals (like copper and lead brass zinc and aluminum)
what about ozpins? it seemed that he could time dilate to defend himself from cinders attacks and then hit her multiple times within seconds. i don't know how his force field thing comes into play. Also, I believe that mercury's semblance is aero-kinetic blasts. he used them in the fight against the fall maiden, coco and yatsuhasi, and yang.
I'm sure it was already stated. Qrow's ability is called Misfortune. He doesn't have control over who it affects, but when he is around someone something bad happens to them. Like breaking a glass after he has been around. He can use this during battle, but like I said it will effect anyone who is not him. Team mates can and will be effected
We need an update for this video. We know now that Ren's semblance is Masking presences. Qrow is misfortune. and we have new people like Hazel who can cast out pain and why no Raven with her portals after bonding with people? I think Tyrian is something like charge or critical hit (with the red + blue visible aura) the longer they fight eachother, but appearently this can be broken once someone intervene like Ruby did, when Qrow was fighting Tyrian. Cause I don't think his semblance was poison, that's just a side effect from being a scorpion faunus.
Well, Qrow shapeshifting might make sense because he has always been sent out for stealth operations and missions. Shapeshifting is very useful for blending in
I wonder if they kept switching back and forth with Ruby's semblance. First it was speed then it was turning into rose petals then it was speed again, but now it seems like they chose rose petals since I don't think moving fast could let you split in three different directions like in the volume 4 character short
Qrow later explains his semblance in Volume 4, Chapter 8: A Much Needed talk. He explains to Ruby why he couldn't just travel with the group because his semblance is misfortune to others. The embodiment of his semblance is a Crow because, in many ancient cultures from Aztec to German, a crow was a bearer of bad omens/luck like death or illness to one's self or loved ones. Therefore Qrow, wanting to keep an eye on them, didn't travel with them because he thought he would turn things sour and end with one of them getting hurt, killed, or heartbroken.
Pyrrha: My semblance is polarity
Ruby: You can control poles!
Weiss: No, you dunce, she controls magnets
Ruby: magnets are cool too...
How do they work though?
+InfiniteNova Magnets are pieces of metal mined from the earth. They're magnetic because they still have tiny pieces of gravity in them!
She can control my pole of you know what I mean ;)
She can even do that on my phone while i was watching SHE MAKES ME DONT HOLD MY PHONE AND THROW TO MY MOUTH
Qrows semblance is actually an AMAZING liver and the ability to stay sober no matter how much he drinks
HOOOLLYY SHIT IT'S ALL CLEAR NOW
Yep XD nice
lol
Or Crow is secretly Polish.... or Russian xD
no,its actually bad luck...
Yang's semblance is anger issues
Nora's semblance is what I call Thora
Nora+ Thor=Thora
That's my cats name. Holy crap! My cat is Thor and Nora!?!?
Jinxgaming313 now u know your cat has amazing capabilities of a huntress
all the more reason to be wary of cats...
Zwei has a new challenger
DeepbloodFang Zwei VS Thora
what about Velvet?
Mimic
the ability to copy someone's else movement/position
(not to be confused with her weapon, which copies *_weapons_*, not *_movement/position_*)
I thought the same thing
i think that is left to her keen observational skills she displays, paying attention to fighting style while coppying
Nah I feel that's more of a skill that anyone can do. Everyone is capable of mimicking actions after all I was able to become the best in my guard by mimicking my captains.
Blooddemon but Velvet can copy everyones actions perfectly on the first try
still i don't know i mean she could have a photographic memory fitting for her weapon
Qrow's Semblance is Sobriety
+McBEERtheDEER XD Then maybe he'll be immune to Emerald's illusions!
Nice XD
ahahah. fantastic.
No wonder we've never seen it before
I got the feeling that him being drunk actually gave him some kind of power or relieved some sort of side effect of his semblance.
Wrong anime xD
CR1SPY T0MAT0 I'd have to call you description unique.
CR1SPY T0MAT0 Ruby has sharingans tho, clearly tsukuyomi in both eyes
CR1SPY T0MAT0 why Naruto
Really n**ga 😑
Who thinks that Jaune's semblance would be cooler if he could slow time a bit.
You know, to strategize?
(just me? ok.)
FPS NubScrub
That would be epic
"You'll be FINE without a weapon, you're the STRATEGIST"
FPS NubScrub that's Weiss, right there...
He can use time arcs!?
That RENs
+John Walker That would be awesome!
+John Walker If your theory is right, then fudge for my OC character. Oh I'm sure there are other RWBY OCs out there with invisibility semblance, but I want to stick to the rule, "Each semblance is unique." Kind of hard to do with invisibility.
+Erica Jackson go like a chameleon
Neo's semblance isn't confirmed. And you where right about Yang and Nora, not sure why you put ???
The question marks were for the name of the semblance
EruptionFang Oh, ok. Thanks.
yang has "phoenix powers" witch is what turns her eyes read and allows her to hit twice as hard as she is but this only one of many abilities that come with this power.
not name of semblence
Qrow semblance is the power of alcohol .
I don't know for sure but Velvet might have some sort of copy semblance. Yeah her weapon can copy the weapons of others but her physical movements directly copy the users also with seemingly no practice.
And name it copycat...or something with bunny because...well....that's obvious
TheoreticalGenius Mimic
TheoreticalGenius I think Velvet is just that good at observing people
her semblence is mimic,it is to be able to copy someone else's movements/style
Should of just called yangs semblance super sayin syndrome cause she basically becomes one.
Shiny beeot
Super Saiyan.
Shiny beeot Super Saiyang
Shiny beeot that's what I nicknamef her Semblance
Shiny beeot or just call it... yanger
Did you know Penny has a semblence? Its to transform into quarters
Bruh, too soon LOL
Bruh too soon? It's been so long, i think they can be made now
coolshadowskeleton9000
Sorry but ya cant block someone on youtube lol.
And what did i do?
DankTank Games "oh no! A joke! Yeah, i can't take that...im gonna block you now"
Lars Heijman
Lars the voice O reason
I would call Yang's semblance "Revenge Counter"
this isn't seven deadly sins
+underanime I know but it sounds like it would fit perfectly because she literally does what Meliodas did. well besides charging it
I guess
I'd call it Kinetic Redirection. Not exactly a stretch as she absorbs the kinetic energy of an opponent's blow and then usually returns it via an Ember Celica enhanced punch to the face.
+GrimmTimes ooohh I like that :)
I still lose it every time I see or hear Flynt Cole's name.
ore what, lol
Same, Flynt is my favorite minor character
мonocнroмaтιc dreaмѕ flynt coal is a reference to achievement hunter
Same
@@EruptionFang
Yamg's semblance is: Beserk
(I don't know I thought that might be a good name to yang's semblance)
Jaune's semblance is a shield, uhh that's just the normal effects of aura duh
there's a theory about Jaune's semblance being a shield much more stronger then regular aura, wich allows him to regenerate very quickly too, but it's just a theory (1- I dont believe on that theory lol :v; 2- sorry for my bad english)
It was hinted that Cardin's punch activated his semblance, according to the devs. And I think he meant to say it rebounds the attack as well (what happened to Cardin's punch is that Cardin's hand felt the force instead of Jaune)
How about healing? Its make more sense because every one have shield Aura
Everyone's aura heals, too.
Every Aura can heal minor wounds.
I some what feel like I'm watching an LOL champion spotlight XD
Ikr
oh my god my childhood is coming back
LOL
Descendant League of Legends
Casey Swirl welcome to league of legends actual champion spotlight, featuring yang, the piltover enforcer.
I would call Yang's semblance Feedback and Nora's Electrolyis
+Joe S
I would have gone for Berserker Rage and Thunderstruck... but yours are cool too...
Fantastically narrated video- your descriptions were so concise and yet left nothing out. Couldn't help but notice your choice of background music too- it made me think somebody had booted Symphonia in my living room for a moment!
What about ren? We saw a bit of what his semblance was in Volume 1
Fox did the same thing as Ren (vol. 2 last episode), I don't think it was their semblance, it must be something like aura manipulation, like "projecting the 'forcefield' into the ennemy" (sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say :P )
Or they just know KUNG FU 0.O LOL
That was just aura, that was not a semblance.
Ditto
That was just his aura; we saw that as Pyrrha explained to Jaune that aura can be used for protection. Alas, we don't know what it is yet. YET.
ShadeSlayer1911
Even without that, I'm sure we'll still get an engaging plot and interesting characters.
you know
vol 1 and 2 were about chill (and slow plot develpoment)
vol.3 was a completely unleashed plot from vol.1/2 and by far the most fucked up vol.
while 4 was a volume of story, their changing their path (FOR NOW)
so don't expect much fight in vol.5 but more story
I know I can be wrong
but that's the most expectation you can get from vol.5
besides, I wouldn't call it stages
but more like control over their own semblances
like said above Blake managed to clone Yang
that wouldn't be a next stage.. but more like taking better control over your semblance
like Ruby, she couldn't control at all her semblance, she could just go fast af but not control it, however in vol.4 it was shown that she can now control it, because she can change directions while in mid-air
Yang its seriously no need to cast fire
however it can just keep growing.. like instead of duplicating the dmg she receives, thrice it.
while Weiss... Schnee family has heredity over their semblances
so any Schnee can use Glyphs and summon anything they've killed before
however in vol.3 and before the last episodes of vol.4 it was shown that Weiss could only summon using her Anger emotion, but at I think... was episode 10? vol.4? when she masters the summon (calling the knight that made her scar) so Weiss is already trying to control over her semblance (Winter already did it) so yeah and Glynda has a complete control over her semblance
is not about upgrading but about perfection
We see him making shields and then sensing enemies (Tyrian in Vol 4 Ch 6).
sevenhearty Remember I asked about Ren's semblance a month ago. I do know now.
His semblance is empathy. He mimics the emotions of someone somehow. It's never really explained
i dont know if you noticed but in the "fight" with Qrow and Winter, Qrows eyes turned red in the same way that Yangs do so maby he has a similar semblance to Yang.
I think Qrow's semblance is dodge and block attacks. Remember, Winter did not hit him.
His eyes are always red
innes monaghan nah he has the power to be drunk and still fight like a badass if he is ever not drunk when fighting R.i.p the world
his eye sparkled then he exerted a massive amount of force, also maybe the reason yang's eyes turn red is because that is the branwen's semblance and as she has taken her fathers eye colour unlike rwby who took her mothers special eye colour her eyes turn red when using her semblance whereas qrow and raven have red eyes and they sparkle when hit
The Branwen family naturally have red eyes (apart from Yang obviously who takes after her father)
Yang's semblance is literally "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger"
Qrow samblence is actually bad luck...
"ALL KNOWN Semblances Volume 1-3"
wolfy sherin this was made before volumes 4 above premiered
ATM YOU'RE MY FAVOURITE RUclipsR!
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ERUPTIONFANG
Let's call yang's semblance:Mirror Force!
velvets semblance is mimicry which allows her to mimic the fighting styles of other hunters/huntress it goes hand in hand with her weapon which allows her to temporarily copy the weapons of others . she cannot copy other semblances and weapon moves that rely on semblances
Wouldn't you count Cinder's power of control over ash, super-heated sand/glass, too?
+Schwarzer Blitz In Ruby's words: "She fought with glass, i don't think that was her semblance though"
Zero the Faceless Uhh, she was using this ability before she actually got her hands on Amber. So I'm gonna stick to her Semblance being control over glass.
+Schwarzer Blitz Ironwood says that people have being putting dust into clothing for centuries so possible its that she uses that ring on her finger which glows whenever she controls glass
ross mulcahy Actually if you look closely every tracery on her dress lits up whenever she's using her power over glass.
So it might just be her outfit has glass
dust embeded in it
Probably time for an update to this video since now we know Jaun, Crow and Raven plus a few bad guy's semblances.
Great video by the way.
I think that Qrow dealioz was just him being drunk :P
lightningbro if that was his semblance than why did he block winters attack
Jyst Wolf Just cause you can fire back damage you sustain doesn't mean you can just take damage willy nilly.
If it would make him more powerful it would make sense to tkae some damge
Actually, Lie Ren's semblance is calm people, basically
I don't know why but i have the feeling that ozpin doesn't have a semblance.don't get me wrong he is probably the most powerful character in RWBY so far but excepte for the incredible movement speed he has (which is not unique and not a semblance because eahc semblance are supposed to be unique) there is no semblance shown
so my theory is that he actually uses magic... there are many element that COULD prove that he's the wizard of the four maidens legend (which could be soooooo cool) : -first he says to Pyrrha " would you believe me if i told you that one's been around SINCE i was boy" which means at least that he was born centuries ago, and we know with the world of remnant episodes that the wizard can live for like centuries so it is not impossible that he went on to live hundreds of years more so it could be him -then he know about magic (real magic) and told it to the other head masters ironwood and Qrow so he was the first person still alive to know about it and who better than a wizard can know about magic BUT he could be the LAST person alive to tell that story so he learned from someone but it would have be a seriously small circle --plus he's capable of fighting cinder with the fall maiden's power better than anyone he therefore has almost equivalent powers to her and, given that he told to Pyrrha that magic was well above semblance either he has the strongest semblance ever due to his long life or he's using magic(what could explain his force field and incredible ability to "fly" or do extra high jumps )-his name OZpin like the OZ magician give the fact that almost all the character are inspired of the fairy tales characters or history according to their nature so if he was a wizard i'd call him "OZ"-and last the relationship Salem (the last character we can see in episode 12 of wol 3) seems to have with him like omg big boss of evil dudes etc and the fact that they apperently are equals from this even the name of that antagonist make sense "salem" sounds like sorcery (sorcery vs magic got it ?) and the fact that there are both narrator for the show that's it i hope you read so far i know my theory have some BIG HOLES but i think it's worth to try and obviously i would be glad if you have some comment to make about this ha and by the way jaune's semblance could be anything else than this (think about when he killed a ursa with spaming attacks )
Yeah why not ? It's a possibility
Saying "Since I was a boy" shouldn't point to he's the wizard. Honestly, I think he's the original wizard too, but saying that is just a saying, nothing more. Just for future reference
yeah i thought to but when Pyrrha says "even you are not THAT old" it could mean that the legend is so old that if he lived at that time he's probably really old too (and at my knowledge the only person in the lore that have lived that time is the wizard)
you could say it's a manner of peaking but in that scene he's always straight forward he's so serious that he tells Pyrrha "do i look like im joking ?"
yet there is a problem to that theory: in world of remnant the wizard is a 80-90 aged guys
ozpin clearly looks like he's 45-55 years old
but i heard a theory saying that it is related to time itself if that's true he may can manipulate his age too
I can prove more than just Ozpin being the wizard, but let's start with him. Mind-blowing, eh?
yeah but it make sense although i don't think salem is a maiden
she's the strongest antagonist so far (theoricly) and she has a special link to ozpin so i doubt that if he is the wizard she's just a maiden Furthermore i saw a lot of theories that claim that either raven or summer (ruby's mom) are maidens which make sense when you look at the portals used by raven (same symbols that the glove used by cinder)
but i don't really like theories because they depend of you lecture of the show
so if think it's a bit sad because if your theory is right that means you got the same vision than the creator and will probably see the things coming which would spoil all the pleasure (paradox of the seer : you see it coming so you're not surprised or sad or happy and the life loose all its taste)
They're still children.
"It won't be a role they'll have forever"- Ozpin
+Handtomouth 8991 By the looks of it, they don't have that option anymore
EruptionFang That's what I was implying with Ozpin's line.
+EruptionFang I think Ozpin has time manipulation, that being said Weiss also cast "Haste" during RWBY's fight with the Atlesian Paladin
She did kill his sorta-girlfriend.
its Jaune's Spanish cousin Juane Arc
Missed some! Like Velvets semblance mimic. (Not her weapon! Look it up!)
you forgot velvet's semblance.
it's to construct any weapon with some sort of grid, it be anything she saw.
such as ruby's scythe to penny's sword wings.
That's her weapon not semblance
that's her weapon not her semblance. her weapon makes her copies of others weapons. her semblance is more than likely the ability to temporarily copy others fighting styles
+vriskaxtereziotp hence why, until they clarify, me and a buddy have dubbed her the Mimic Bunny.
+ weiß's glyphs, yang's gauntlet's, Coco's minigun, penny's ... swords?..
i heard RT confirmed it
I thought Crow's semblance is that twinkle in his eye when fighting Winter.
Darius Blake That still makes me wonder what that thing was that he did.
+autisonm Both him and Yatsuhashi did that. I think that's a feat of strength, not semblance.
LittleZbot Yeah could be I guess.
this isn't attacking, but i request an reboot upload of this! qrows was recently released as a "bad luck charm"
ren's too, as of yesterday
Maybe they should just wait a bit. We might just find out Jaune's too before the season is over.
I’m so glad you had Sheena’s theme song in the video!
You forgot Scarlet David's super luck, and that lady that farts rainbows, and dont forget Neptune, what if he becames a kraken or a water dragon if he absorbs or soaked too much water that's why he was afraid to tuch it, well that's just my theory so forget it
scarlet's semblance wasnt shown, also he didnt do all the characters that are not main ones for some reason like the girl who creates tornados
pwners4u i just said that its just a theoy, a RWBY theory
Jay En Jee you can't say "you forgot" when they haven't been shown and then say your personal theory behind their semblance's in a video based on the ones that have been physically shown
pwners4u and that's why i said you forget it...whats wrong with you? triggered so much
My theory on Jaune's is that his semblance is most likely leadership as he is able to assess battle situations and formulate plans and commands on the fly. this is mostly evident in episode 8 players and pieces
This reminds me of the anime charolete (probably spelled it wrong) B.S. when the last ability to be absorbed was fucking courage.
Qrow announced his semblance in volume 4,I'm just too lazy to say it
Janathan Aguirre Misfortune isn't that hard to spell you know
One question about Weiss. What is naturally part of her attacks is naturally part of her Symblence and what is the result of the dust she carries with her?
Love it!!!Well done:):)
+MapleWoodStables Thank you!
Crows semblance is that whoever is around him has bad luck, it’s a constant semblance
i call yang's Sembalence AngerStrength
Ethian Reed actually, its "Pain is Power."
Yang uses the damage others project onto her to add to her already incredible strength.
Yang: * is strong *
Person: * punches Yang *
Yang: **EYES GET RED* **HAIR BECOMES FIRE (idk)**
Person: * dies from the awesomeness of Yang *
actually no...
Enna Mae But Yang gets red eyes and strength from her hair being cut, and Blake being stabbed. She took no damage on those occasions
kaakeli laatotus Yes, that is the Aura. Their Aura takes the hits for them before it is depleted.
Why does everyone spell JAUNE wrong?
Ellie Natoza cuz they are posers
Great video! Something to add would be that Yang's semblence seems to be somewhat tied to her emotional state, specifically anger. I really hope we get more details on other semblances (and semblences themselves) next season. Also, I'm surprised you didn't touch on Cinder, Raven, Velvet, Mercury, Penny and Ozpin (although we do lack specifics on their semlences). Maybe a Part 2 or a Semlence Theory Discussion video?
Penny is a robot
AerrowDynamics ah forgot that i take back what i said
Oh I never got the joke neo's name is
Vincent Torrijos theres a joke?
neo polatin=neopolatin ice cream
Vincent Torrijos oh.
That's not a joke and surprised you didn't know that first time.
im not a native English speaker and i never had to learn the word neopolatin before.
i did have a suspicion about that being the joke because her designed really did remind me of neopolatin ice cream (here called napolitano, which also reminded me of her name a little bit) but i try not to assume things.
Wait wait what about Ozpin and Cinder?
We dont know what exactly their semblences do just yet. We can theorize what they do, but I simply wanted to cover the ones we knew for sure
ozpin's is the shield that we see in volume three episode twelve
i think cinder's semblence is to create and control glass as we have seen in the fight against Ember. and Ruby mentions her use of glass when they fought in dance infiltration
and velvet.
I better the whole crow turning into a Qrow is magic
drakon I'm pretty sure Oum stated that dust is the "magic" in Remnant. Meaning there is no magic.
The fact that you got Qrow and crow mixed up was perfect 10/10
??? There is magic, such as the Maidens.
you forgot to mention that blake can change the elements of her clones to something else, like rock, ice, fire, and shadows too
Where's Ren?
we dont know rens
We also don't know Jaune's and he is mentioned
But we've seen Jaune's in action. It hasn't fully formed, yet, but we have hints as to what it does. Ren hasn't used his, or if he has, it hasn't been clear. Remember, when he blocked the snake, it was just his aura, not his semblance.
Could have included Ozpin since it has been hinted.
Velvet's semblance allows her to directly copy her ally's moves. It works perfectly with her weapon. :)
Yang's Semblance is getting her arm chopped off, and Phyrra's is turning into ash
No, Pyrrha's Semblance is controlling poles.
Yes it is ;)
no Phyrra's is being stupid and not going for the kill.....
So, she is gonna catch them all, starting with Jaune?
*KNEE (not ankle)
Sorry but qrows semblance is that he has a iron liver which is why he is always drunk can hasn't died from alchohol poisoning.
that sheena theme music tho
+B-boy Genesis What can I say, I like the Tales series!
+EruptionFang you think Neptune's semblance is water? He's probably afraid of it cause he can't control it
Qrows semblance is ACTUALLY a passive semblance to bring misfortune and badluck to those around him whether on purpose or not... he cannot turn it off. And now you know why.
give ren some love
Personally I can't wait for Jaune to meet Pyrrha's mom, that that will be heart breaking.
pfft, with what i've read we will be lucky to even see Raven again...
frogradar Are Hulum and his wife on break or something? They'd probably just replace her if that was the case
Qrow's Semblance is that it causes misfortune to whoever is near him. This is why he told Ruby to get back when he fought Tyrian in Volume 4. Just a fun fact.
No, Pyrrha doesn't have the power of polarity
She HAD the power of polarity
you forgot to say that adam's semblance seems to be able to bypass aura or do so much damage it takes it out immediately
Branwen mate its branwen not branswen xD no offense tho :D thanks for the clarification
+Qrow Branwen it's crow, the guy whit the ability of remaining sober!
That's a blatant lie and you know it.
remaining sober? pah. im always drunk. Thats my secret. you wouldnt want me when im sober!
I wasn't paying attention to the music until Neo's clip started up....
....is that Sheena Fujibayashi's theme from Tales of Symphonia? o.o
my brother and I have always referred to Yang's semblance as retribution. she takes their fury, then pays it back sevenfold.
Yang's semblance just might be strength all together cause in the yellow trailer it showed that she used her semblance willingly against junior when he pulled out her hair and the same in volume 1 when the ursai attacked her and a stand of her hair was floating down to the ground her semblance activated, but it also might have something to do with anger as well
Yangs is damage absorption and damage retalation, deals back 2 to 5 times damage taken to yang but can leave her taxed if she cant focus that damage into her attacks, thuse why she lost to Adam in one hit cause she had lost focus when attacking, it also increases her deffence but only for a short time
I thought Qrow's semblance was using alcohol for energy.
if I were to make my own semblance it would be Energy absorption. He or she would be able to go into a meditating state that is extremely fragile and would weaken him/her when hit.But if he/she finishes her meditating state he/she would disable all energy related semblance like pyhra's (sorry if spelled wrong) magnetic energy, wiess's glyphs and such. But it cannot disable physical semblance like ruby.He/she can only use this when he is deeply connected with a friend or loved one.And after using this the one who he/she is connected to will either will get tired or faint but if this character's connection is already weakened he/she will faint
we know what Qrows semplence is now
bad luck. virtually everyone within close proximity to him experience of bad luck. From things falling two malfunctions
Hmmm how about Ozpin? In the fight scene vs Cinder, he moved extremely fast. And the green shield seemed to provided with green electricity. Maybe his semblance is electricity? could explain the speed and power. Although he is a bit too mysterious...
+EchoGuardian It seems (as the wiki says) to be a form of time dilation, Basically self projected bullet time.
the reason because of that is because he drinks a lot of coffee in season 2 but its revealed that its a weapon that shoots fire but to shoots fire you need dust so HE IS LITERALLY DRINKING FIRE DUST
+Tiernen I think you are talking about Ooobleck.
Glinda also has the power to control the weather, as seen in the very first episode when she battles Cinder when using her telekinesis while the moves the broken stone from the building there was a thunder cloud forming. Meaning she can do those two/one thing(s) at once.
Yang's semblance name is rebound/reflect, Neo's is mirror(glass version of Blacke), and Nora's is asguard
All semblances from volumes 1-5 plus a theory of a semblance that we may have already seen
Ruby: uses speed to burst away leaving behind a flurry of Rose petals
Weiss: creates glyphs that allow her to create platforms for her to walk on walls, ceilings and even bounce off of mid air, time dilation glyphs which speed up her or another's movements, and summoning glyphs which summon astral copies of enemies she has slain
Blake: creates empty copies of herself which takes the hit while she escapes free of harm
Yang: absorbs damage from hits she takes and adds them to her own physical strength
Jaune: amplifies another persons aura to where they can heal major or even fatal wounds
Nora: absorbs electricity and adds that to her own physical strength
Pyrrha: uses polarity to manipulate any metal objects
Ren: masks emotions so that he can focus and makes him invisible to Grimm
Sun: creates astral clones of himself that aid him in battle (there is a theory that his semblance could be solar powered)
Qrow: brings bad luck to everyone around him and it's always active
Raven: creates portals that take her to people who she has bonded with
Winter: has the same semblance as Weiss (but has mastered all aspects of it)
Goodwitch: uses telekinesis to move objects with her mind and can fix things that are broken
Velvet: mimics another persons movements so that she can fight exactly like they can
Flynt: creates 3 identical copies of himself that fight and move in sync with the original
Emerald: makes people hallucinate and see things that aren't really there
Neo: uses illusions to teleport leaving behind a copy of herself which shatters like glass
Adam: absorbs energy from attacks he blocks to create one huge slice which can cut through aura
Hazel: blocks out pain
Cinder: heats dust from any kind of turf and solidifies it into glass shards (maybe)
the question this raises for me is was velvets weapon/semblance mimicry her weapon or her semblance
Yang's semblance is Full Counter.
Props to you if you got that reference!
qrows semblance is the same as yangs, hes a faunus shapeshifter. his semblance side effect is spark in his eyes and a change of the shade of red.
Rest easy any mess you deal in your house is no problem as long as you have this vacuum cleaner hanging by
And then we find out about Qrow's semblance, which is kind of a downer compared to the rest of them.
sorry to be a stickler but soda cans aren't always in aluminium, they can also come in tinplate ( iron coated in tin) so they are magnetic.
Channel is such a great choice of word for this semblance due to the fact that when Noras semblance is used it doesn't seem that she is actually able to store this charge almost as if she kept the electric charge in for a period of time there would be no bonus effect and the electricity would eventually dissipate
I'd like to see a elaborated storage of this semblance so she could literally store up charges of this effect..
Was that background music from Tales of Symphonia?
