Monochrome Man it was confirmed that sje was truly dead I fell to my knees in my bathroom and cried for like an hour. I really did love her and he really hit a soft spot when he said Glynda is what Pyrrah could have been
I think pyrrha isn't dead, more likely turned into a Grimm. This is all speculation but it might be a pretty cool twist to rwby series. Google prryha nikos Grimm so you can see why.
To be honest, I always figured semblances should be most used to help fight grimm, so stuff like lie detection and hallucination manipulation always seemed wasted to me. Useful powers, to be sure, but not against grimm
I wouldn't really say others are naturally faster than Ruby's semblence, I don't think Qrow or Mercury are faster than her, it's just Mercury knew where she was going to be and Ruby couldn't keep up mentally with the way Qrow was moving. It's more a difference in combat experience and skill that allow them to easily keep up with and predict her.
Plus, it seems that Ruby's speed is more of a "sprint dash" as opposed to a "everything else is slowing down" kind of speed like we tend to see with The Flash
Wrong. Watch the fight between Qrow and Tyrian or Winter. They can all move exceptionally fast. And Mercury kicked her in a wide hallway where she couldn't get past. She can also slit apart into multiples. There is no excuse. She's just not fast enough. I think aura can be used in this way, much like Ren using it as a shield. Students can't do this yet.
The thing is she had not yet matured and not mastered her symblince. Just imagine how powerful and fast she will be like Wally west fast. From the comics.
TL;DR Version: Ruby: Gotta Go Fast Weiss: Full Metal AlcheSchnee Blake: Shadow clone jutsu Yang: Hulk SMAAAAASH Jaune: Mercy from overwatch Nora: if Shazaam and Storm had a hyperactive child Pyrrha: God Ren: poker face Sun: multi-shadow clone jutsu Velvet: plagiarism queen Flint: multi... musical clone jutsu Raven: We've all played the video game. But add emotions. Qrow: black cat Neo: hit or miss. No it's miss everyone misses Emerald: Aizen's zanpakuto Hazel: Ibuprofen magic Adam: FINISH HIM Glinda: Mary Poppins
Ren seems to need contact with something but it doesn’t have to be direct contact with another person. He was able to touch the ground and use his symblance on Qrow and Jaun.
Cryo Xerxes maybe, but that didn’t seem to be the case. If it took a lot of aura he didn’t show it. Both Ren’s and Nora’s aura were broken in that fight and it seemed like they took the same amount of hits. Ren actually took a few more hits than Nora if I remember correctly.
valathor95 whenever he has negative emotions about things his semblance makes it so his face looks blank. So, of course it wouldn't look like he's tired until he WANTED people to know he was tired.
You should consider how long the fight was going on, how many attacks he absorbed and how hard they were thrown. Also take note that Adam could have been holding back when using his semblance which is why it was much more powerful looking when he used it on yang
Ya know i just realized an actually terrifying fact about jaune that could make him the most effective fighter against non grim. What if his power isnt only to give and amplify but to take. Just at a touch he completely saps all of his opponents aura, stealing their defenses and rendering their semblance useless. And if you dont think thays terrifying youre crazy.
Sapping aura would be extremely powerful and scary in the wrong hands, but I don’t think Jaune would have that based on his personality and mannerisms.
Well, some people don't need their semblance and aura to beat him. Most people in the show, like Yang, Ruby, and Nora, are physically strong and skilled enough (without their semblances) to beat Jaune.
Also Sun’s aura is more powerful in the day time, when he’s fighting the sea Grimm with Blake in the daylight he’s able to move while he has his semblance activated, unlike every other time he uses it at night time he’s immobilized
twinodoom or maybe sunlight specifically? That why he’s powerful during the day, and less at night Bc Theresa only reflected sunlight from the moon. But then that begs the question of what happens to his semblance during a new moon
@@memes_the_dna_of_the_soul5487 not just health decreasing though. Her semblance actually can store the energy built up over time like Adam's. Which is also why she managed to defeat him quite easily when she used her semblance in the latest volume, because to my knowledge, she never used her semblance since the Fall of Beacon. And she sure did take a lot of damage during that time
Big part of Velvet's that you missed is that it's also limited by the very rare Hard Light dust. This extremely limits the use of her copying abilities. And for reference, it's in the Clash Royale style game RWBY: Battle Arena.
Wait, EruptionFang states "Ren must be in physical contact with the person he wants to mask their emotions". Yet, Ren's hand just touched the ground and masked the emotions of both Jaune and Qrow...
Ruby’s isn’t just speed, she literally scatters into rose petals, Pyrrha just refers to it as speed Bc that’s the most obvious manifestation of it since Volume one
Black Raven9519 Eruption Fang said that the rose petals are a side effect of the Semblance however it's the other way around. Ruby BECOMES rose petals and in that state, she can move incredibly quickly. That's why by V4 she can split herself into multiple parts and not have to just move in a straight line.
Onyx Rose. Um pretty sure it is a side effect to her semblance because she didn't burst into rose pedals when she ran really fast up the mountain with a nevermore . nor did she turn into pedals when she ran in the school cafeteria during the food fight until she decided too . even in the red trailer she was running really fast hence speed.. .. So im Pretty sure its speed but also can change into rose pedals when she wants too.. Kind of like an on and off trick if you ask me.
Both times she ran up buildings was using Weiss' glyphs, not her own speed(obvious because of the lack of rose petals). The Red Trailer has the camera situated with Ruby as she moves, so instead of seeing the rose petals you just see her moving, the Red Trailer is also a source of bad evidance as while it is canon it was created before many of the details were finalized, for instance the fact that Ruby's outfit changed from the Red Trailer to the show unlike everyone else.
On the other hand he does need to use his sword to block the attack in order to store and use it (I don't know if this was mentioned pre volume 6). So basically, unlike Yang, if he doesn't block the attack he doesn't gain any power from it, meaning that if an attack hits him he gains nothing from it.
Well, with Volume 6 out at the moment, we've got some updates on character semblances as well as two new semblances to add to the list Tock: 60 second invulnerability Maria Calavera: Preflexes Also here are some theories I had for certain characters semblances, as well as some that some RUclipsrs made so credit goes to them Cinder Fall: Glass Forging: (this Theory was made by the Unicorn of War) during the flashback we got in Volume 3 where Cinder did not have the Fall Maiden powers and she, Emerald and Mercury all went against Amber, there was a point during the fight where some dust from the ground got kicked up into the air, Cinder then raised her arm and forged glass shards out of thin air, my guess is that she heated the dust from the ground and smelted it altogether and then it instantly cooled once they were glass, Ruby may have said during Volume 2 that she didn't think that was her Semblance, but there's this thing called "being wrong" it can happen to the best of us Oscar Pine: Aura nullification: (this Theory was made by thatkaitodan) Oscar has many similarities with Ozma the true ruler of Oz, who banned certain characters from doing certain things, and at one point got turned into a little boy called Tip who was living on a farm, sound familiar? Oscar seems like he doesn't want to hurt people so he could have a Semblance that allows him to stop someone from using their aura or their Semblance allowing him to defeat them without hurting them Scarlet David: Gliding: during the tournament Scarlet was launched into the air and thrown towards the pirate ship, but instead of plummeting into the deck of the ship, her glides with his arms fanned out and gracefully lands on his feet onto the mast of the ship, since he is based on Peter Pan it makes sense that he could potentially have this ability, he could alter his own gravity to glide around if he wants Penny Polendina: Adaptability: Penny said in Volume 2 that she wanted to test herself in the tournament because it would one day be her job to save the world, well she can't really do that if she's in pieces at the moment now can she? She also said that her father, the Atlas scientists and General Ironwood didn't think she was ready YET...am I the only one who thinks that Penny was still a work in progress project? Whats more is that General Ironwood said he had made breakthroughs in Aura TRANSFERANCE, not CREATION, if you think that I'm going to believe that he made a soul and an aura for a robot girl completely out of technology, then you've got another thing coming, meaning that Penny's Aura had to have came from someone else, and she still referred to her as "her father" even after Ruby found out that she was a robot, so what if Penny was once a human? If that's the case then something would have had to have gone wrong with her original body for them to want transfer her Aura over to a robot body, the only thing I can think of is that scene from Volume 2 where she unnecessarily stopped a truck with her hands when she could have just dove out of the way, what if her original body was hit by a truck and was in danger of death, and being turned into a robot was the only way she could survive, like I said before she could have been a work in progress project when she was torn limb from limb, and what do most people do when their test goes wrong? The improve upon it, they perfect it so that the same mistake doesn't happen again, so with that being said, if Penny really did get hit by a truck, nearly die, get turn into a robot to survive, and then stop another truck with her bare hands, that means she adapted, she could potentially be able to become immune to things that have harmed her in the past, like Doomsday from DC Comics, but we'll never know if she stays dead for the rest of the series, which if she does then she will unfortunately become a wasted unnecessary character, seriously if they don't rebuild her then she'll be a pointless character and I don't want that to happen
Wait, so Oscar can in essence, temporarily disable shields and abilities? Holy crap, if that actually is his semblance, he might be the best support next to Jaune.
this is not connected to your comment about semblances, but I can't believe I didn't see that Oscar was Tip before. I've read all 10 Wizard of Oz stories. SO basically the true ruler of the kingdom of Oz is this little girl called Ozma. She's the daughter of the previous ruler of the kingdom. But she was hidden as a boy named Tip, who lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere with an old witch. So that sounds a lot like Ozpin, or his original incarnation, literally named Ozma, hiding in Oscar the farm boy's body. Qrow is the scarecrow, Leo is the Cowardly Lion, Ironwood is the Tin Man, Glinda is the good witch of the south. And that's just the references from The Wizard of Oz. Team JNPR is all genderbent mythological heroes. Jaune is Joan of Arc. Pyrrha is Achilles. Nora is Thor. Ren might be Mulan, idk.
Cinder's Semblance is named Scorching Caress, which allows Cinder to super-heat objects and manipulate their shape. She can use it to generate explosions by super-heating the ground, as well as melt dirt and dust into glass.
There's a pattern to Neo's semblance, and that's mirrors, when Yang tried to punch neo in the face in volume 2 her punch just reflected and then Yang fell backwards, her illusions break like glass just like a mirror would and the fact that she can change her clothes...well...do you look in the mirror when you try on new clothes? Am I making sense to anyone? Also there's a theory that Sun's semblance is solar powered/more powerful during the day
Stop with the retarded speculations. It will be stated/shown clearly (or won't be at all, coz bad writing is a huge thing for this show). Until that it can be mirrors, illusions, light manipulations and 1000 other things.
I think hers is just labeled as "Illusions" She can change her appearance like eye color, clothes, hair. All of that and then also make copies of herself and other people and pratically make a picture made of glass. I don't know if Yang technically hit herself, Neo could just be that fast. It'd be interesting if her Semblance is actually mirrors though, I could be wrong.
@@shallowcinema8359 the difference between him and yang though is her semblance doesn't rely on her weapon so that's the advantage she would have on him also I don't think Yang has to necessarily takes a damage if she blocks it it probably still counts
A minor theory that I have about Adam's semblance is that he's left very vulnerable right after using Moonslice. He doesn't use it very often, probably due to having to build up energy to use it, but maybe he's also trying not to rely on it to kill everything.
AuraSilverHero Maybe it still uses a lot of his own energy, so he only uses it when either he's built so much energy that the cost is nullified or when he can garuntee the stamina trade is efficient. It would explain why he needed Blake to buy him time in the trailer.
When I watched the Black Trailer for volume 1 I couldn't help but make a Dragon Ball Z Abridged joke Adam: I need a minute to charge this! Distract it! Blake: Distract it? I can do that! Adam: For five minutes.
I would say the Glyphs qualify as the best support and versatility. She's a buffer, lol (speed buffs and elemental augmentations so far anyways). Considering she can summon stronger monsters the more she kills, she'd be one of the top offensive and defensive semblances too. I've always looked at the Glyphs as the Sharingan of RWBY.
That’s interesting, the Sharingan Of Rwby. Because if that’s true, then does it mean semblances are also hereditary? If so that’s pretty OP XD, get two people with already strong semblances, and the kid will get one, or maybe a weird combo of both.
kyle utter only the schnee semblance is confimred to be hereditary by Winter. I think it's so strong and can do so much because it has been refined and evolved over multiple generations. That something other semblance don't have going for them.
Juan Rodriguez Yeah, haha, But, we don’t know Tai‘s Semblance, or Summer‘s. Hmm, I think it’s an interesting topic, and it’d be cool if that’s how it worked.
kyle utter yeah it's possible. I do want to know more about the schnee semblance and its history. It would be cool to see another hereditary semblance that inst glyphs to see how it turned out
True, most people don't have the benefit of someone with the exact same semblance to teach them. Most will be lucky just to get a teacher with a sort of similar one. That being said I don't think the time dilation glyphs are that busted, the people affected by them seem to slow down for a bit after which would create openings. And remember with the summoning it only includes enemies that helped push her past her limits to become who she is now. So just Arma Gigas, Boarbatusk and the Queen Lancer so far.
"Alright, let's talk semblances. Ruby is fast... Yang is strong... Pyrrha's semblance WAS polarity in case anyone forgot SHE IS DEAD and then there's Hazel, he doesn't feel pain... and Glynda, her semblance is telekinesis - she embodies what Pyrrha might have become iF SHE DIDN'T DIE SHE IS DEAD IN CASE ANYONE FORGOT and yeah thanks for watching see you next time" Dude. My heart 😂😂 living in denial felt so good... while it lasted :( 😂😂❤
Well.. Remember that the human body contains this mineral called, I don't know, iron? ...yeah, Pyrrha could've literally ripped Cinder apart if she was more experienced.
xolotltolox sure, but I don't know what that is lol. She can condense all the iron in a person's body into a miniature ball/bullet. And... Well... let's just say there's going to be a lot of internal and external bleeding.
I really hope that this is not the end of jaunes (sorry if i misspelled it) semblence. His semblence is aura manipulation, this means that aura amplification might not be his only ability. Is it just me who thinks that jane might be able to have some kind of life steal ability becouse what can be given can also usually be taken away. jaune can use his aura to amplify others so why not use others aura to amplify his own? i dont mind if you correct my spelling but if somebody already did it then pleas just leave it at that
I think Tyrian's semblance is something like Aura Poisoning. We see him cause a lot of damage very early on with that weird shaky effect that only appears at the end of fights when you don't have aura anymore, but at repeated times throughout his fight with RNJR and Qrow. So he corrupts and diminishes Aura really quickly whenever it comes into contact with his, and since your Aura also affects your weapon, just hitting your weapon would be able to apply his Semblance. Helps that his pincer wrist-blades are perfect for binding enemies and doing weapon locks.
@@shanelawrence7438 While watching the video i notices that Tyrian's eyes glowed purple during the time he cut Qrow in volume 4, and now we know that when he uses his semblance his eyes glow purple. Just came to say that, maybe that is why Qrow aura literally do nothing
WARNING: COMMENT CONTAINS BIG SPOILERS. Dont read this comment if you haven't watched everything yet The part where you mentioned how Velvet could copy anyone's fighting style, even someone very powerful like Ozpin, it made me realize something. How the hell did Cinder kill Ozpin? Now that we know his past and all that, how in the world did Cinder beat this guy? He was the most powerful fighter in the land in like the beginning of time. He's had untold lifetimes of practice and experience. He's literally the greatest fighter of all time, except given thousands of years to get even better. The only person in the entire show who should have even stood a chance was Salem because she's literally unkillable and has magical powers. He should have squashed Cinder like a bug, even with Maiden powers.
Sadly, Ozpin's magical power was nowhere near what it once was, it has been slowly diminishing over time and he spent a large amount to create the maidens. So, unfortunately, he is much less powerful than the all-powerful Ozma
@@phslhs i think it was "mainly?" the fact that he was also in the body of an old man, no matter your combat experience, if your body can't keep up you'll lose
theory for adam, its not moonslice at all, but rather, the ability to bypass aura. he straight up stabbed the leader of white fang without glowing blades and stuff. i think the glowing blade thing is just his weapon. he has hurt yang bypassing the aura, ciena con, and others
It is a good theory and not bad at all but it could be she didn't activate her aura since that has to manually and only with training becomes instinctively but even so she didn't expect it so. And if you wanna argue Yang's arm it could be because she was tired out a bit and also because a stronger person can hit harder than the aura can protect. (Terian with Ruby as example)
Soarel actually, everyone in that world has an aura and has the ability to become a fighter with a lot of training. So she did have an aura, but it just wouldn't be strong enough to withstand Adam's attack very well even if she did activate it.
That is a good thought, makes a little more sense than a charged attack, this isn't SAO after all. However, being able to bypass aura would make him almost invincible. In the end of volume 5, where Adam ran away, he could have easily broken blake's aura if he had the power. I consider bypassing aura as a possible Semblance, but I feel he would be too powerful and could defeat his foes in one hit.
Also yes Ren semblance can be used in range, and that begs the question ¿How much people can he hide and from how long? The only time we saw him in a great scale jaune was boosting the shit out of him and he cover more than half of the train and everyone there
why does the pink one not carry electric dust at all times? if i had the power to super charge myself with no draw backs and all i need is a battery to drain, i would carry a battery of electric dust with me at all times.
I don't recall many ways to make dust a part of your own power. The only one I remember is Hazel, who can ignore pain, since stabbing yourself with dust would obviously be painful
Wouldn't that ruin the thought of having downsides? Remember this is a show, not real life. Like all shows, you will be screaming at the t.v trying to tell them whats right. But people wrote the show, so that's probably why. Not wanting to make anyone too op.
I can agree that Adam’s semblance was arguably the greatest in terms of damage output. I can agree that Jaune’s is best for support (he is essentially a Blitztkrieg Medic, bit always ready to pop). But he is still a rookie and relatively new to aura. With experience and proper training he might actually end up on par with the rest of the main cast. Glynda’s is best for area control/defence but it is also a horrifing offence (who is to say that your clothes aren’t stuff she can manipulate? She could choke you wih your own shirt. Or spin you around until you can only keel over and puke for half an hour, unable to lift a finger. Heck, she can make a piece of dirt into a projectile if she wants to. Pyrrha’s semblance is a testament to her character: very useful, veritile and very applicable BUT it does reflect how naive she was as a person. As in, it only affected metal. This could be taken as an argument that Pyrrha was a lot more narrowminded than originally thought, as she might have dismissed non-metalic objects as threats or deemed metal to be invinsible againt any other material. Any savy warrior can kill you with a nonmetalic object, like say, a broken oar (historical refference). But for all of thes epicly strong semblances there are counters, the tricksters if you will. One on one, Emerald might make you claw out your own eyes or tear off one’s own skin by making one see horrible things. Or she could use it to create opening or even make one attack their own allies. Mostly the same with Neo, however se does not have the restrictions of how many she can fool. And let’s not talk about Yatsu’s memory-altering semblance. That thing is terrifying. The Schnee semblance is very veritile, allowing for buffing of one self and one’s allies, but also allowing for making he lives of one’s enemies into a living hell. The weakness is that they are glass cannons and they have to be able to focus properly. A solid blow to the face will shatter their concentration, rendering their semblance unusable or uncontrollable like what happened with Weiss at the party with her Boartusk. And I can only assume the semblance is not very cost effective either. But hey, that’s just my currentl take on it.
Hey EruptionFang. If you want, the rwby wiki has its page in Semblances updated, if you want to do another video. Even the Atlas Ace Ops have semblances. Clover has Good Fortune. Harriet can move at lightning fast speeds. Marrow can stop targets in time. Vine can create aura tendrils from his arms. And Elm can hold her ground, literally.
It's been hinted at during the beginning of season 7 that there might be more than meets the eye with Ruby's semblance. When Ruby told Harriet (part of Winter Schee's "Ace-Ops") that she had a semblance similar to hers - super speed, later, when Harriet observed Ruby's, she noted the differences between hers and Ruby's. So there might be more going on with Ruby's semblance than has been revealed so far.
No it's speed. She obviously moves faster than anyone else. The bursting into rose petals is just a side-effect like Yang's hair starting on fire when she activates her semblance
It's not that people underrate her, it's just that writers are bad and they're not gonna make her use her semblance as good as she should (because they didn't think it through and made it leagues better than it can be for a side-character)
You're also mixing up the strength of the character and the strength of their semblance. Flints semblance isn't one of the weakest just because yang broke through it. Flint himself is weak being a more assist and long range based fighter and even that is arguable because yang is clearly the strongest member of team rwby and one of the strongest fighters at beacon. Being overpowered by her hardly makes anything weak
Lets add some more semblances in the comments: Neptune Vasilias: Water attraction. Can attract and repel water Velvet Scarletina: Photographic Memory. (This is the name of the semblance in the character page.) Penny Polendina: Enertia. Can control the enertia in objects letting her move them around as if they were nothing. Tyrian Callows: Aura Disruption(I don't think this is the actual name). Can disrupt aura(obviously) Reply some more!
How OP would it be for Qrow's Bad Luck to be able to transfer to video games? Causing enemies and some teammates (if in multiplayer) to lag like hell ^^
Glenda's semblance may also be tied to her confidence maybe. In her final scene in volume 3 her despair seemed to undo her semblance and what she had been doing. That or she reached her limit at that time and was overcome with exhaustion. Also Ren can also transfer his semblance by transferring it from a physical surface both he and who he's targeting is on. As seen where he touched the ground and transfers his semblance to Jaune and Qrow. As long as there is a path for it to follow it seems to transfer well enough and be just as effective. But seems to fade over time once out of Ren's direct focus. Distance from him may also factor into it.
geekgoddess2.0 All semblances seem to be tied to emotion. When Weiss gets angry at the party guest, she accidentally summons a Grimm. When Pyrrha got upset, she accidentally threw Jaune against a wall with her polarity. At least that's the common theme I've been getting. The more you control your emotions, the more you control your semblance. Winter talked to Weiss about this in Vol. 3 "Lessons Learned"
Tank - Hazel, Pyrrha Assassin - Blake, Emerald Mage - Weiss, Glynda Fighter - Ruby, Nora, Yang Support - Jaune, Ren *if RWBY was a game* _there is no Marksmen because mostly all have long ranged attacks aka guns_
@@chloebahuaud8397 Yea in vol 7, the other speedster (i forget all of their names) hinted that Ruby's semblance wasn't just speed, that there's something more to it.
Actually, unlike what Thesarakuzka21 said, Ruby's Semblance has nothing to do with silver eyes. That is a distinct feature like being a Faunus. Ruby's Semblance is to burst into rose petals, literally transforming her physical body into a swirling cloud of real rose petals, and transforming back. As Ruby is capable of making petals in addition to the ones she turns into, some petals are left behind when she activates her Semblance. Doesn't seem to have an adverse effect on her. Why does this make her fast? Consider the amount of energy required to transform every cell into your body into rose petals, and control where those rose petals go. That extreme output would likely disrupt the air so much that it would be like a high-yield explosion. Ruby can tailor that output so it is just behind her, pushing her forward as a result.
Fun fact: Sun's character is based on the mythical figure, Sun Wukong. His semblance is also based on one of Sun Wukong's many abilities, which is the ability to create clones of himself.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Cinder's Use of Glass weaponry classify as her semblance, considering she was even able to use it before she absorbed the Maiden's power?
In the Dust informational, they talk about old tactics of adding Dust to clothing. She is probably doing that, since her clothes light up when she uses that power.
In volume 1 chapter 1, we see cinder shooting what seems to look like glyphs, an exact replica of Weiss's, but with a different element. I'm not sure on the glass, but that probably has something to do with the maiden's power. Unless of course she got the maiden's power before volume 1, and I am completely wrong on this entire statement.
I'm thinking that Cinder's true semblance is glass related. She was always using glass rather than her stolen maiden powers in the beginning before she killed Fall and hasn't used it since then.
@@miikusaba546 You may be right, but I don't think the show's ever mentioned "Glass Dust". I know I've seen Fire, Lighting, Ice, Electricity, Rock and even Gravity Dust being used, but never Glass.... Unless that was just sand Cinder super heated and sent flying as glass.
newcollector not that type of dust. dirt, sand, that kind of dust. and since she has stolen maiden powers (which include fire) she can use her semblance, and forge the sand into glass. that’s how i think she makes her weapons.
Jaune’s is probably the most powerful. he has a insane amount of aura allowing him to take a ton of damage, he can easily fill his aura if damaged back up to full very fast. His semblance allows him to boost others making them far stronger.
yeah his semblance is broken but not against tyrian cause his semblance has been revealed aura deactivation for a limited time which is rly broken the dude can 2 shot everyone
It is one of the best support semblances out there right now. But so far he needs someone at his side in order to really shine. Once he develops more, he might be able to use it effectively on his own. But Tyrian might be a problem, but we con’t know the exact mechanics for his semblance yet so we will just have to see.
btw "actually Ruby Rose's semblance is actually rose petal transformation Qrow said it himself remember? anyways so far Ruby knows how to only use it for speed and separation with speed so she can go around objects or bring someone with her to either help her in fighting or to rescue and don't forget that semblances can evolve so she could probably do more in the future like idk teleportation instead of just regular speed and ruby might actually know and can currently do more then use her rose petal transformation then just that but it's just not needed for most situations maybe when her semblance evolves she can transform into a crimson creature or object that is either bigger but not smaller then her and maybe the next next time her semblance evolves she will also be able to transform into smaller things then her" also this is what i said a few minutes ago
So what people stumble around like they're in a boat?... OOHHH YOU KNOW WHAT? I've always thought he looked like the type of person who would be on ships alot... So sure.
Just a quick theory on Jaune since you said his aura has no offensive capability. Since a person's semblence is tied to their aura, if Jaune can amplify that aura doesn't this mean he can amplify the semblence as well? Also he may be able to do the reverse to an enemy, i.e. deplete their aura through manipulating it negatively. Just a couple of thoughts. Anyway great video
Two things: In the video it says Neo's illusions shatter like glass if hit, but now we know they can actually fight like a person (when she fought against cinder her illusion was able to fight just like her and take hits). Her semblance has probably evolved through time. As for Adam, now we know his semblance wasn't unstoppable, as it seem before, because Yang was able to take the hit in the Yang and Blake vs Adam final fight.
Velvet's semblance is photographic memory. It says in one of the books (RWBY: After the Fall) Edit: I forgot to add, her camera prints 3-D weapons of the pictures of the weapons she took of people.
Does anyone else think Tirian's semblance is poison? His eyes are usually yellow, but turned purple when he struck Qrow to poison him. Most other characters who have changes in eye colour do so when using semblance. Though it seems a little to basic with him being a scorpion. His aura is also seen as purple when Qrow injured him.
Actually, though we never see it in the show, the rest of Team CFVY had their semblances revealed. Got them from the RWBY Wiki Coco Adel - Hype. Coco can increase the effects of dust. This is particularly useful for her since ammunition is made of dust and her weapon is a mini-gun Fox Alistar - Telepathy. Fox can send messages mentally to others, though it's unknown if he could allow, for example, Coco to send a message to Velvet. Yatsuhashi Daichi - Memory wiping. Yatsuhashi can wipe both the last few seconds and important memories from the minds of those he touches, though important memories come back in due time.
Everybody is saying how Moon Slice is the best semblance. There is still one more semblance that triumphs all semblance: Time Stop. Can't store energy from attacks that you can't see, can't block, can't evade. You'll just be paused in the quantum realm like a sitting duck. Even Ruby's supersonic speed semblance is useless in front of someone who can freeze time. I called it: Quantum Shift. It comes with one penalty however, the semblance is only activated as long as you can hold your breath.
After watching Volume 5; I'm assuming Weiss' semblance makes her a glass cannon as it can be extraordinarily OP. BUT her aura tends to run out or on low faster than her team at least. This combined with the fact that creating the glyphs on the cliff in Volume 1 made her beyond exhausted as did only summoning part of the knight in Volume 3 makes me think her semblance saps her aura heavily while in use. The higher the technique level, the stronger the drain. In which case Propulsion and Gravity Glyphs only take a small portion per glyph made. Time Dilation is a little higher. And the summons depend on the size.
This is just a theory so take it how you want Salem is the first Grimm created by the god of Darkness to destroy his brothers creations and Ozpin( or whatever he was called and his first life) is the first human created by the two gods combining the powers and gifts
Volume 6 Spoiler: Close but no cigar. Salem was given immortality by the gods as punishment for playing, not only the gods against each other, but humans against the gods in an attempt to get them to use their powers to revive her lover. Forced to watch all others she may care about die until the day she learns the meaning of life...Oz, is her former lover, given the power of reincarnation by the gods in order to steer humans (and salem)down the right path
I meant ozpin before he became oscar pine not ozma plus after I watched that episode it explained my original question about his semblance which isn't really a semblance but just magic
About Jon Arc's semblence. We still truly don't know what it is, as you said, Pyrrah Nikos gave the most in depth descriptions of both aura and semblence. She was able to unlock Jon's aura using her own to do so, but only he can find his semblence. You also mentioned how Ren was able to extend his semblence, which is just an extension of aura, to help other people hide their emotions. So wouldn't it be correct to say that Jon was simply using his oversupply of aura to boost Weiss's aura and that his semblence is still unknown?
And you didn’t mention Tyrian’s semblance of he has one, also. Anyone else remember how Pyrrha’s title was “The Invincible Girl”? She didn’t seem invincible when she died
Jaune doesn't have a semblance yet. He said so himself it's more like he's simply just giving his aura to others to boost their own. Therefore, not a semblance, just something everyone could do. Only reason he's the only one doing it though appears to be stated by Pyrrha, as she had said, he has a lot of aura. So, he's got aura to share while others must focus on using their aura mostly for their own combat. But maybe that is his semblance and I'm totally wrong. But, Jaune himself said he was just giving his aura to them, and it wasn't semblance related.
I was wondering if anyone was going to call this out. Jaune specifically said that he wasn’t giving his aura, simply boosting the auras of others and thereby increasing their own semblances. There was a scene in which Jaune was low in aura after boosting someone else’s and then he replinished his own aura back to full. So theoretically Jaune could fight forever. And focus his aura on specifically healing his own would sir whatever the situation required.
Jack Chase That's just a side-effect of her speed. It's like Yang's where her side-effect of her hair starting on fire when she activates her semblance.
you messed up on weiss’s semblance weiss’s glyphs have 3 uses: -repelling an object -atracting an object -summoning killed foes things like time dialation, ice attacks, fire attacks, shields, and everything else is her glyphs being manipulated by dust. an example is her time dialation, where time (i believe thats the name) dust was used to speed up her movements. another example is when weiss makes a shield during her fight against the chainsaw faunus on the train, the dust that was used was hard-light dust, same dust was used to shoot projectiles at the nevermore in the first few episodes not semblance related, but weiss’s weapon also has an ability (that was ret-conned or forgot about) that uses all the dust that’s on her rapier at once which makes the markings glow white as a finishing blow (seen in the white trailer) that i think just gives a big finishing blow
Theory: Ruby's semblance is actually a low level form of the manipulation of matter, specifically matter she is made of or can move normally. She separates her atoms slightly taking the state of matter more akin to a gas or vapor, which has more energy and less air resistance so to speak, hence the "Rose peddles" being left behind that "disappear." Its the more solid stuff breaking down, then reforming with her body. Which is why in volume 6 she was flying next to the train if only for a few seconds.
her semblance "Was" polarity.
**sad sigh.**
so true
And “[glynda] is what pyrrah could have been”
Wait a god damn second, why couldn't Glynda be the Maiden?

I think pyrrha isn't dead, more likely turned into a Grimm. This is all speculation but it might be a pretty cool twist to rwby series. Google prryha nikos Grimm so you can see why.

I call it Plantera cuz Stand power
Bad guy: I think we got her.
Yang: AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
God damnit barb
Booo
That's a terrible pun
Funny though
I wouldn't really say others are naturally faster than Ruby's semblence, I don't think Qrow or Mercury are faster than her, it's just Mercury knew where she was going to be and Ruby couldn't keep up mentally with the way Qrow was moving. It's more a difference in combat experience and skill that allow them to easily keep up with and predict her.
Plus, it seems that Ruby's speed is more of a "sprint dash" as opposed to a "everything else is slowing down" kind of speed like we tend to see with The Flash
If a character has a better reaction timing then she can’t do much
True that... Ruby probably has better movement speed (km per hour), but Qrow just has faster combat speed.
Forgot the fact that Ren can apply his semblance to others through the ground as shown in volume 4.
Yea I was about to say that too
I noticed that too
Only with Jaune’s help
His semblance has evolved so much now
I almost cried when he said "was and incredibly useful one" when talking about pyrrha's semblance. Keyword, 'was'
Same. I'm still watching, just came down into the comments to see if anyone else had mentioned this.
Though, she still had her semblance even as she died. By saying "was" means she lost it, but she didn't, he had it until death.
TL;DR Version:
Ruby: Gotta Go Fast
Weiss: Full Metal AlcheSchnee
Blake: Shadow clone jutsu
Yang: Hulk SMAAAAASH
Jaune: Mercy from overwatch
Nora: if Shazaam and Storm had a hyperactive child
Pyrrha: God
Ren: poker face
Sun: multi-shadow clone jutsu
Velvet: plagiarism queen
Flint: multi... musical clone jutsu
Raven: We've all played the video game. But add emotions.
Qrow: black cat
Neo: hit or miss. No it's miss everyone misses
Emerald: Aizen's zanpakuto
Hazel: Ibuprofen magic
Adam: FINISH HIM
Glinda: Mary Poppins
IM DEAD😭😭😭🤣🤣
Jaune be like "Hunters and huntresses never die!!"
velvet: Trace On
Pyrrha: Dead
Neo’s actually based off of Mary Poppins. Don’t r/woooosh me as I get it. I see you mad lads. I can sense your arrival.

Ren seems to need contact with something but it doesn’t have to be direct contact with another person. He was able to touch the ground and use his symblance on Qrow and Jaun.
valathor95 your so right!!!
i caught that too, i'm like noooo T_T
Probably used up A LOT of Aura to do so, thus probably not his go to tatic
Cryo Xerxes maybe, but that didn’t seem to be the case. If it took a lot of aura he didn’t show it. Both Ren’s and Nora’s aura were broken in that fight and it seemed like they took the same amount of hits. Ren actually took a few more hits than Nora if I remember correctly.
valathor95 whenever he has negative emotions about things his semblance makes it so his face looks blank. So, of course it wouldn't look like he's tired until he WANTED people to know he was tired.
Yang's semblance: Don't Make Me Yangry
I'll let myself out
HahahahahahahhahahahhaahHhahahahHhahahaha
this is something Yang would say and no one can prove me otherwise
No it’s perfect come back
“Nothing has been capable to stop adam’s semblance”. Me: Tell that to yang’s robo arm
in that fight adam was continuisly using his semblence giving it no time to build up any power.
You should consider how long the fight was going on, how many attacks he absorbed and how hard they were thrown. Also take note that Adam could have been holding back when using his semblance which is why it was much more powerful looking when he used it on yang
Adam was nerfed hard
Did you notice that after Blake's warning about his semblance Yang started to avoid hitting the sword?
He wasn't fully charged
^
May need another update soon, especially since in Volume 7 there's the hint of Rubys semblance not actually being speed but something more.
Ya know i just realized an actually terrifying fact about jaune that could make him the most effective fighter against non grim. What if his power isnt only to give and amplify but to take. Just at a touch he completely saps all of his opponents aura, stealing their defenses and rendering their semblance useless. And if you dont think thays terrifying youre crazy.
uh oh
He can't steal if he is dead. XD
Sapping aura would be extremely powerful and scary in the wrong hands, but I don’t think Jaune would have that based on his personality and mannerisms.
He's weak in the past volumes im pretty sure rooster teeth has some plans for him.
It might be based on light. If there’s more light, it’s theoretically easier to create the clones.
twinodoom or maybe sunlight specifically? That why he’s powerful during the day, and less at night Bc Theresa only reflected sunlight from the moon. But then that begs the question of what happens to his semblance during a new moon
It is called Via Sun. Or By way of the Sun so there's some merit to that theory.
I don't think that's true. Miles and Kerry are just terrible at keep track of canon
Well his name is Sun
Don't forget we learned that Semblences can evolve over time.
Jaune is aura manipulation. This means he can copy others.
+Quin Skew Not really. I think he can use his Aura to heal others or make their Semblences stronger
kibert135 Manipulation of Aura. What does the word manipulation mean.
+Quin Skew Ähm...his Semblence is called Aura Amplification when I remember correctly.
Blake Belladonna Manipulation not amplification
Yangs semblence is like an damage multiplier.
DoIKnowYou 117 basically
Blake: yup
Damage increases as health decreases.
And she sure did take a lot of damage during that time
@@jordanmacias5590 She kinda used it when she bounced the bandit all around the shop that one time, it was kind of a gag, tho...
Big part of Velvet's that you missed is that it's also limited by the very rare Hard Light dust. This extremely limits the use of her copying abilities.
And for reference, it's in the Clash Royale style game RWBY: Battle Arena.
i remember when that game was popular
To be fair her semblance is only copying people's fighting style, she needs anesidora to copy weapons which is fueled by hardlight dust.
Wait, EruptionFang states "Ren must be in physical contact with the person he wants to mask their emotions". Yet, Ren's hand just touched the ground and masked the emotions of both Jaune and Qrow...
Maybe he's...wrong?
Dave175 Oh snap, did I just point out a mistake EruptionFang made...
Dream Shooter dude...thats mean how you said that...
Yup he fucked up
Dream Shooter I was actually looking for a comment for someone point this out or a mistake he might have made xD
Ruby’s isn’t just speed, she literally scatters into rose petals, Pyrrha just refers to it as speed Bc that’s the most obvious manifestation of it since Volume one
Avery Merritt Thank you!!
I think he made that clear lol
But can Nora survive the electric chair?
I guess making her sitting in that is just like "feeding" her. Bet that to one point after being shocked af, she'll break crap faster than we imagine.
I feel like leaving her in it will just be doing her a favor.... 😅
Well, she would be hungry af afterwards ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think the better question would be 'Can the electric chair survive Nora?'
It would probably charge her and just make her extremely angry
Imo adam has the best offensive and defensive semblance. Dude absorbed the entire laser from the spider droid.
Glynda could pick up the fucking beam and destroy the entire train.
Victoria Alpha Uhh, I don’t think so... If Glynda got hit by that beam, she’d probably die.
Maybe..
No one knows how durable Glynda's shield really are.
@@bruhstoptaggingme We've never seen her fail to stop anything, so I'd say it's pretty durable.
On the other hand he does need to use his sword to block the attack in order to store and use it (I don't know if this was mentioned pre volume 6). So basically, unlike Yang, if he doesn't block the attack he doesn't gain any power from it, meaning that if an attack hits him he gains nothing from it.
Well, with Volume 6 out at the moment, we've got some updates on character semblances as well as two new semblances to add to the list
Tock: 60 second invulnerability
Maria Calavera: Preflexes
Also here are some theories I had for certain characters semblances, as well as some that some RUclipsrs made so credit goes to them
Cinder Fall: Glass Forging: (this Theory was made by the Unicorn of War) during the flashback we got in Volume 3 where Cinder did not have the Fall Maiden powers and she, Emerald and Mercury all went against Amber, there was a point during the fight where some dust from the ground got kicked up into the air, Cinder then raised her arm and forged glass shards out of thin air, my guess is that she heated the dust from the ground and smelted it altogether and then it instantly cooled once they were glass, Ruby may have said during Volume 2 that she didn't think that was her Semblance, but there's this thing called "being wrong" it can happen to the best of us
Oscar Pine: Aura nullification: (this Theory was made by thatkaitodan) Oscar has many similarities with Ozma the true ruler of Oz, who banned certain characters from doing certain things, and at one point got turned into a little boy called Tip who was living on a farm, sound familiar? Oscar seems like he doesn't want to hurt people so he could have a Semblance that allows him to stop someone from using their aura or their Semblance allowing him to defeat them without hurting them
Scarlet David: Gliding: during the tournament Scarlet was launched into the air and thrown towards the pirate ship, but instead of plummeting into the deck of the ship, her glides with his arms fanned out and gracefully lands on his feet onto the mast of the ship, since he is based on Peter Pan it makes sense that he could potentially have this ability, he could alter his own gravity to glide around if he wants
Penny Polendina: Adaptability: Penny said in Volume 2 that she wanted to test herself in the tournament because it would one day be her job to save the world, well she can't really do that if she's in pieces at the moment now can she?
Coco's semblance is called hype.
It boost the power of dust
*The Schnees can bring forth an enemy they previously defeated to fight by their side*
Is it just me, or does this sound a bit like Pokemon?
Unless you KO the pokemon TwT
Shit your right
There's a pattern to Neo's semblance, and that's mirrors, when Yang tried to punch neo in the face in volume 2 her punch just reflected and then Yang fell backwards, her illusions break like glass just like a mirror would and the fact that she can change her clothes...well...do you look in the mirror when you try on new clothes? Am I making sense to anyone?
Also there's a theory that Sun's semblance is solar powered/more powerful during the day
also could be the reason she can't talk. she's a reflection in a mirror herself, and thus, forever silent .
Are you saying that her semblance is... "Mirror Reflection"?
Also, can't wait for Neo sidestory
Stop with the retarded speculations. It will be stated/shown clearly (or won't be at all, coz bad writing is a huge thing for this show). Until that it can be mirrors, illusions, light manipulations and 1000 other things.
I think hers is just labeled as "Illusions" She can change her appearance like eye color, clothes, hair. All of that and then also make copies of herself and other people and pratically make a picture made of glass. I don't know if Yang technically hit herself, Neo could just be that fast. It'd be interesting if her Semblance is actually mirrors though, I could be wrong.
I have dubbed yang's semblance "berserk"
Gio A that sounds good, but I think "Fury" sounds better.
I prefer calling it burning heart overdrive because Yang's symbol is literally a burning heart when you think about it it makes sense
I just call it Super Saiyan🙃
Adimantium claws are way cooler than shotgun gauntlets. But I see what you were going for.
I dubbed it "Going Batshit crazy"
“What Pyrrha could have been”

A minor theory that I have about Adam's semblance is that he's left very vulnerable right after using Moonslice. He doesn't use it very often, probably due to having to build up energy to use it, but maybe he's also trying not to rely on it to kill everything.
AuraSilverHero Maybe it still uses a lot of his own energy, so he only uses it when either he's built so much energy that the cost is nullified or when he can garuntee the stamina trade is efficient. It would explain why he needed Blake to buy him time in the trailer.
I'd assume he only uses it when he's sure it'll end the fight.

You missed something on Ren. You said his semblance had no range, but he masks Qrow from a distance in the Nuck fight in volume 4.
Miescha McGregor I wonder how strong his is (how many people can he cover) naturally because most of the time when he uses it Jaune is boosting him.

The Real Cactoos you mean like Bloodbending in ATLA?
xolotltolox sure, but I don't know what that is lol.
Is it just me who thinks that jane might be able to have some kind of life steal ability becouse what can be given can also usually be taken away. jaune can use his aura to amplify others so why not use others aura to amplify his own?
i dont mind if you correct my spelling but if somebody already did it then pleas just leave it at that
If a semblance uses the aura, imagine how much more devastating one's semblance could be if Juane amped their aura up.
Imaged a electric nora vamped up on Juane...
that sounds weird
you're one of the few people to actually spell jaune correctly lol

I think Tyrian's semblance is something like Aura Poisoning. We see him cause a lot of damage very early on with that weird shaky effect that only appears at the end of fights when you don't have aura anymore, but at repeated times throughout his fight with RNJR and Qrow. So he corrupts and diminishes Aura really quickly whenever it comes into contact with his, and since your Aura also affects your weapon, just hitting your weapon would be able to apply his Semblance. Helps that his pincer wrist-blades are perfect for binding enemies and doing weapon locks.
Actually its aura disruption. Meaning while that is actively on that area, there is no aura protecting there.
@@shanelawrence7438 While watching the video i notices that Tyrian's eyes glowed purple during the time he cut Qrow in volume 4, and now we know that when he uses his semblance his eyes glow purple. Just came to say that, maybe that is why Qrow aura literally do nothing

The part where you mentioned how Velvet could copy anyone's fighting style, even someone very powerful like Ozpin, it made me realize something.

This is a really interesting theory!
Naiadryade thanks, its my only still standing theory that icame up with originally so far, lol
Also notice that when the Time Dilation glyph expires, the subject slows down to make up for the earlier speed boost.
Yeah thats how weiss got hit with a chainsaw. I like it, its ‘dialation,’ shes not the flash.
Flint can quadruple his firepower with few disadvantages. It’s just that his weapon wasn’t the best for synergy with it.
Kieran Byrne I know right
> Quadruples own power
>one of the weakest semblances
Having Coco’s gun would be amazing ha
Give him a gun and he'll become a firing squad!
We also gotta remember that yang has plot armor.
Exactly, he basically has automatic x4 power but his weapon was a F*CKING TRUMPET. The only drawback though is that he has the time lag
They ruined Adam
The current writers are ruining RWBY
@@l0sts0ul89 Bro they're the same writers
Also yes Ren semblance can be used in range, and that begs the question ¿How much people can he hide and from how long? The only time we saw him in a great scale jaune was boosting the shit out of him and he cover more than half of the train and everyone there

No not really
Just found out that Yang’s semblance is called “Double Damage Payback”.
I know, a year late, but still better late than never
So Nora is basically the stand Red Hot Chili Pepper?
Yes. But I call it Thunderstruck
Red hot
Yeah
why does the pink one not carry electric dust at all times? if i had the power to super charge myself with no draw backs and all i need is a battery to drain, i would carry a battery of electric dust with me at all times.
I don't recall many ways to make dust a part of your own power. The only one I remember is Hazel, who can ignore pain, since stabbing yourself with dust would obviously be painful
Just sniff a line of electric dust, and boom, super charged!!
"The Pink One"
Wouldn't that ruin the thought of having downsides? Remember this is a show, not real life. Like all shows, you will be screaming at the t.v trying to tell them whats right. But people wrote the show, so that's probably why. Not wanting to make anyone too op.
Well, dust seems to be rather expensive.
But hey, that’s just my currentl take on it.
kinda wish jaune had some sort of offensive semblence tho, i really him to be a bad ass
Correction- Ruby semblance is Bursting in to Rose petals. Not speed it is confusing
Rwbywolf12 She has run fast without the Rose Petals though
Harmony Jewl I know
No it's speed. She obviously moves faster than anyone else. The bursting into rose petals is just a side-effect like Yang's hair starting on fire when she activates her semblance
Soarel My whole point is that they retconned her semblance in Vol. 4
Yea, I think the semblance was named "Petal Burst" I could be wrong tho
So theoretically could Glynda rip someone or something in half?
Scooty Yes. She's OP af
I don't think it would work with people, as far as they have aura, I don't think she can tear them in half
Yep but people underrate her *sigh*
It's not that people underrate her, it's just that writers are bad and they're not gonna make her use her semblance as good as she should (because they didn't think it through and made it leagues better than it can be for a side-character)
i dont think it works on living things
You're also mixing up the strength of the character and the strength of their semblance. Flints semblance isn't one of the weakest just because yang broke through it. Flint himself is weak being a more assist and long range based fighter and even that is arguable because yang is clearly the strongest member of team rwby and one of the strongest fighters at beacon. Being overpowered by her hardly makes anything weak
You could argue that the strength of one's semblance is dependent on the user using it. but I get what ur saying.
Flint’s weapon was also a F*CKING TRUMPET. He basically has automatic x4 power, but he does still have the time lag
personally, I think wiess would most likely win if they fought (yang vs her)
Lets add some more semblances in the comments:
Neptune Vasilias: Water attraction. Can attract and repel water
Velvet Scarletina: Photographic Memory. (This is the name of the semblance in the character page.)
Penny Polendina: Enertia. Can control the enertia in objects letting her move them around as if they were nothing.
Tyrian Callows: Aura Disruption(I don't think this is the actual name). Can disrupt aura(obviously)
Reply some more!
Pyrrha Nikos - Her semblance *was* polarity.

How OP would it be for Qrow's Bad Luck to be able to transfer to video games? Causing enemies and some teammates (if in multiplayer) to lag like hell ^^
When Qrow was playing video games with Ruby and Yang in v3ch4, he did win every time.
I'm talking about online multiplayer games and all that.
ToLegitt2Quit a damage/speed/defence debuff would be a lot better than manipulating your ping
Gasp*THATS WHY RUBY AND YANG NEVER WON!!!

Just a note about the pop cans in the food fight: There are such things as steel beverage cans.
Won't they rust real quick though? It's why we use aluminum...
Crimson Hybrid I thought its iron that rusts
Steel is an alloy that is made of iron, so neither of you are wrong.
I thought Glenda had just gotten tired...

@@chloebahuaud8397 Yea in vol 7, the other speedster (i forget all of their names) hinted that Ruby's semblance wasn't just speed, that there's something more to it.
@@chloebahuaud8397 you know silver eyes and everything
@@Thesarakuzka21 @Nickeel thank you ! :D
I can't recall where i've heard/read it, but in my head IT IS her semblance
In the Dust informational, they talk about old tactics of adding Dust to clothing. She is probably doing that, since her clothes light up when she uses that power.
In volume 1 chapter 1, we see cinder shooting what seems to look like glyphs, an exact replica of Weiss's, but with a different element. I'm not sure on the glass, but that probably has something to do with the maiden's power. Unless of course she got the maiden's power before volume 1, and I am completely wrong on this entire statement.
She did get it before volume 1. But only part of it.
I think that she can manipulate dust, as in dirt and sand, and uses that to create glass
I'm thinking that Cinder's true semblance is glass related. She was always using glass rather than her stolen maiden powers in the beginning before she killed Fall and hasn't used it since then.
it’s dust manipulation. i think.
@@miikusaba546 You may be right, but I don't think the show's ever mentioned "Glass Dust". I know I've seen Fire, Lighting, Ice, Electricity, Rock and even Gravity Dust being used, but never Glass.... Unless that was just sand Cinder super heated and sent flying as glass.
newcollector
not that type of dust. dirt, sand, that kind of dust. and since she has stolen maiden powers (which include fire) she can use her semblance, and forge the sand into glass. that’s how i think she makes her weapons.

Jaune’s is probably the most powerful. he has a insane amount of aura allowing him to take a ton of damage, he can easily fill his aura if damaged back up to full very fast.
His semblance allows him to boost others making them far stronger.
yeah his semblance is broken but not against tyrian cause his semblance has been revealed
aura deactivation for a limited time which is rly broken the dude can 2 shot everyone
It is one of the best support semblances out there right now. But so far he needs someone at his side in order to really shine. Once he develops more, he might be able to use it effectively on his own. But Tyrian might be a problem, but we con’t know the exact mechanics for his semblance yet so we will just have to see.
Ruby’s semblence is turning in rose pettels
She even moved slow when she turn in the rose pettals
I hope Ruby starts using her Semblance more often in Volume 6.
btw "actually Ruby Rose's semblance is actually rose petal transformation Qrow said it himself remember?
anyways so far Ruby knows how to only use it for speed and separation with speed so she can go around objects or bring someone with her to either help her in fighting or to rescue and don't forget that semblances can evolve so she could probably do more in the future like idk teleportation instead of just regular speed and ruby might actually know and can currently do more then use her rose petal transformation then just that but it's just not needed for most situations maybe when her semblance evolves she can transform into a crimson creature or object that is either bigger but not smaller then her and maybe the next next time her semblance evolves she will also be able to transform into smaller things then her" also this is what i said a few minutes ago

Perhaps, but the process is time consuming, and the episode implied he has to be fairly close to someone in order to use it.
Isn't Ruby's semblance *Rose Petal Burst*
Don't think that's the name since Qrow's exact words were "some people can burst into rose petals".
Two things:
In the video it says Neo's illusions shatter like glass if hit, but now we know they can actually fight like a person (when she fought against cinder her illusion was able to fight just like her and take hits). Her semblance has probably evolved through time.
As for Adam, now we know his semblance wasn't unstoppable, as it seem before, because Yang was able to take the hit in the Yang and Blake vs Adam final fight.
I can't believe someone's semblance is litteraly an aura venmo

Taskmaster?
"nothing has come close to stopping it" volume 6 changed the game in so many ways i'm quaking
They have Jaune now so they are OP as shit now
This is just a theory so take it how you want
Salem is the first Grimm created by the god of Darkness to destroy his brothers creations and
Ozpin( or whatever he was called and his first life) is the first human created by the two gods combining the powers and gifts
My question is what was old ozpins semblance and what is new ozpins semblance
hellfire orange Old Ozpin? Like, Ozma?
I meant ozpin before he became oscar pine not ozma plus after I watched that episode it explained my original question about his semblance which isn't really a semblance but just magic
So if semblance can evolve, then could Jaune's semblance evolve to where he can also take/steal aura from others?
Are you planning on updating this with the stuff from V6, because it would be really cool! :)
Ruby's semblance isn't sped it is Petal Burst she literally turns into petals.
Jack Chase That's just a side-effect of her speed. It's like Yang's where her side-effect of her hair starting on fire when she activates her semblance.
Don't they explicitly say in the show that Ruby's semblance is speed, did they recon it?
Qrow said that her semblance was bursting in to rose petals.
What tracks did you use at 13:20? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW MAN PLS
you messed up on weiss’s semblance
weiss’s glyphs have 3 uses:
-repelling an object
-atracting an object
-summoning killed foes
things like time dialation, ice attacks, fire attacks, shields, and everything else is her glyphs being manipulated by dust.
an example is her time dialation, where time (i believe thats the name) dust was used to speed up her movements. another example is when weiss makes a shield during her fight against the chainsaw faunus on the train, the dust that was used was hard-light dust, same dust was used to shoot projectiles at the nevermore in the first few episodes
not semblance related, but weiss’s weapon also has an ability (that was ret-conned or forgot about) that uses all the dust that’s on her rapier at once which makes the markings glow white as a finishing blow (seen in the white trailer) that i think just gives a big finishing blow
