Shabani, a silverback gorilla, and Ai, a female, were spending time together.
There was a scene where Ai was inviting Shabani to play with her. I’m hoping that Ai is in heat by any chance.

AI is the prettiest female gorilla. Shabani is Mr. Personality. Love them🥰❤
I was stunned when Kyomasa took some of Shabani's food, and there were no repercussions! There was no fight, no screeching, no drama. I agree with a previous comment made, that if that had been Gentaro taking food from Momotaro all hell would have broken loose in the Kyoto City Zoo. Momo DOES NOT share food, don't even look at his food! Amazing how individual these gorillas are, they each have their own unique personalities and quirks, just like the rest of us. Well done Shabani, you're a good Dad. ❤️💕💕🇨🇦

Would be nice to see them with more things to do like toys. I didn’t realize how small their overall enclosure really is.
Why are these beautiful creatures not in their natural environment?
Poachers and civil war make their native homes extremely dangerous. This is a safe and thriving life for them without the risk of being killed or forced out of an area. I also think they should have much larger enclosures though, but that comes down to who's willing to pay the bills to take care of these majestic primates.
Shabani ist einmalig er ist ein richtig schöner Silverback und ich liebe es wenn er sich über den Kopf streicht und dabei sich dreht. Er ist ein super Vater der seine Kinder liebt und beschützt besonders wie er Annie von klein an immer beschützt hat und wie heute mit seinen großen Kinder spielt. 🦍❤

My heart goes out for Shabani!! All these ladies and none to mate with! He's such a gentleman. He never approached her till she touched him! Then he quietly gave up! There's a lot of men that wouldn't handle that as well as this gorgeous guy! Pray he gets a mate sooner than later, but l know the situation is not ideal with Nene still being a part of his troop!❤️🦍💖

They are so beautiful and amazingly human-like. I just hate seeing them in that concrete, artificial environment with loud tannoys going off 😔

It would be nice if So had another baby. Now that she's older, and saw how Annie was raised, she may be more maternal the 2nd time around. Also, a baby would be a great parenting practice for Annie and Kiyomasa.
Nene was older when she had Ai and Kiyomasa.
It's so nice to see AI and Shabani play together even if it was just for a short time.💗

Lol AI doesn’t want to be maternal and that is very clear lmaooooooo. That’s the result you get when you imprison gorillas and remove natural selection. I was hollering laughing when I read about AI’s response to motherhood! Humans, gorillas, and so many other species really share so many characteristics!
@@charvonay you seem to know a lot except to understand that's it's HUMANS who have taken away their natural land or shot them for bushment or aphrodisiac purposes... HUMAN purposes...without zoos, this species would perish. These are also captive born apes (and other animal species) we have to protect before they disappear because of HUMANKIND ignorance greed and power. It's a sad state of affairs what mankind has done to our world. We aren't an endangered species...all the animals are because of HUMANS.
A little privacy might be nice for Ai. I know I’d hate having sex in front of my elderly mother, with her younger husband, who happens to be mine too - while my nephew pops into the bedroom to watch... but that’s just me. Lol! Yeah, yeah! I know Gorillas are slightly different, so don’t bother lecturing me. Was joking...partly.

Gorillas are by nature very shy and self-conscious, so most likely they're not bored this is just them being lazy after a meal or in Shabani's case being more concerned with flirting lol.

Absolutely heartbreaking that we still keep such Intelligent Beings in such horrible captivity. There is nothing natural about any of this. It is absolutely mind numbing to be kept in such close quarters and with so much concrete all around.
It's about time that we all realize how wrong this is. They are not Ambassadors for their kind...they are prisoners with no choice and very little quality of life.
