it is about graphic/art style not matching people's expectation. i am a big fan of king of fighters series. i played arcade version of kof98, then got ps2 versions and yada yada to this day. tekken, street fighter and king of fighters have this japanese anime style that does not work in most of the world. this game would be even bigger if it had mortal kombat like more realistic style/graphic art.

wow the level of humbleness of the players are super high! i dont even know who is ET and Xiaohai. when the match was concluded, i dont even know who won. initially, i thought the fat 1 won, cos of his expression. but slowly, when the other took the folded flag, then i realised the he won! thumbs up to both humble players!
Kof is hype as fuck and i don't even play fighting games. Top 4 game at evo for sure that i love to watch. For me it's strive, dbz, kof, sf6 for peak watching. Tho I've watched all the games this weekend. Casters help a lot too and kof casters kept the top 6 hype
They should either make the players sit on the opposite sides with their own monitors, OR, they should simply provide some kind of partitioning between their seats so that the players won't need to use a box to begin with.
First of all the interactions between players sitting right next to each other makes the match more entertaining, and the box isn't for preventing players reading others move from controllers (it's pointless to do that anyways). The box is for blocking glare/light reflections of Xiaohai's sponsered shining gold controller.
The matches were so close, both time(UB final, Grand final) they are at the range of KO'ing each other (one is making out of the reset, second is making the match to 2-2).

2023 Krohnen is pretty much like how M. Bison and Gief are in SF6. Have very short route that could lead to massive damage. (least hit=little scaling) Most anchor match with Krohnen will be like Krohnen hit confirms DP into level 2 safe jump mixed up guess right then another level 2 to death. All in less than 10 seconds. Still they need good management on the other two characters in order to make him effective since his combos eat meters real quick and he doesn’t have a safe special to farm meter. NA players tend to spend meters on early rounds hence we hardly see them using Krohnen since afterall. Meterless Krohnen is straight up bad when he has no hard hitting combo and he has no ex specials to turn his unsafe normals into frame trap. This is the meta that I really like about KOF too bad they nerfed him after this EVO. Not many time we get to see a fighting game character with poor neutral games being absolute top tier just because he can dish out high damage with one right call and turn the game upside down. Still in the wrong hand with poor resource management he can pretty much be bullied by any other character. This is actually a good way to balance out fighters.
As someone who is fluent in both english and spanish i hate this commentator, out of nowhere he starts spouting some spanish words that barely had anything to do with the english sentence he is trying to communicate.

Plus he wasnt even commenting the match , he was commenting on the players (but thats my opinion, during a match, talk about the match after that idc). Im mexican and i hate to talk shit about a brother but he needs to improve, my opinion.

其实他两个水平还是有差距的，最近几个月小孩基本都在玩街霸，很少玩KOF 15 ，日本EVO就看到水平差距了，那时候小孩很少失误，而且KOF15在中国内部办的比赛很多每个月都有，奖金几万块RMB那种。而且中日韩台湾所有高手都会参加，小孩包揽了所有冠军。这次之所以看起来差距不大，一个是实力占优势的想保，而实力弱的也就是ET全力去冲击他，放手一搏，所以看起来差距很小
