Thanks for a lovely look at Gothenburg from a perspective that felt new and different made me think of a "Wolter's World updated for 2023" The accident at the elevator door is probably because it's an atrium/facade model that is not generally meant to be installed as a free standing elevator. When put against a wall, you can look out on 3 sides, but the sliding doors are kept hidden (and safe) so they can slide in and out between the cage and the wall like on regular elevators. Not an excuse, just an explanation...
@@taylorandanna This is not okay even if there is a safety mechanism (should be) that stop the movement of the door as soon as something is blocking its path during the opening or closing sequence. I understand that it was a terrifying moment for you all, and I hope that your son had fun and enjoyed the rest of your stay in Universeum. I live and also work close to the "Universeum" so I'll head over there and make sure they've improved the safety of the elevator. If not, I'll try to make them to do so.

You didn´t mention anything about the costlevel in Gothenburg. It must be a real bargain if you travel with USD. The swedish currency has droped a lot against USD in recent years.

The concept 'fika' doesnt involve coffe if you dont drink it. Its just a concept of slowing down and enjoying being in the moment. We have mandatory coffeebreaks on work between 10 to 15 min, 3 times a day. Most drink tea, some drink chocco from a machine. You can drink water and snack on a carrot, the concept still applies. Pssst, its not just family friendly cities. You'd get 480 days paid leave divided on you both if you would have kids in Sweden wink wink
