    The thing about weight loss plateau is the misinformations people who are dieting get from the so called experts/authorities! weight loss plateau is an expected and natural process of weight loss, or even weight maintanence! whenever I go through it I DO NOT PANIC; as a matter of fact welcome it. Plateaus gives me a chance to emotionally take a break from expectations. I just recently went through a plateau that lasted almost a month!; all a while I've being steadily losing 7 lbs a month for the past three months. As of last week my body finally broke away from it without me doing anything else extra!!
    So far I have lost 14 lbs since April by just walking, combined with intermittent fasting. I am not dieting, as I still have the same healthy full breakfast, lunch, and dinner as before!! my secret is consistancy; as I walk 5 miles a day everyday, and 12 miles at least once or three times a month!! my physical activity is consistant, 5 or 6 times a week every day, but I also take a day or two of rest, depending on my emotional moods, and in listening to my physical body's response.
    The combination of daily walks with intermittent fasting is my personal recipe for success!
    Personally I tend to lose 1.5 lbs a week with my current walking/intermittent fasting weight loss plan. By October I hope to reach my weight loss goal; and so far my current weekly routine seems right on target. Weight loss plateau is the least of my worries!!

    • @ALEZANDAR
      @ALEZANDAR Год назад

      @@Neesha242 I went down from what I used to weight at the time of 173 lbs. to currently 163 lbs. No dieting, just a consistent physical activity by walking everyday; even on days of rest I keep on moving! one thing I did changed was avoiding sugar; sugar in my personal experience was the culprit of my weigh problems. Although I still have my daily bowl of fresh fruit salad for breakfast every morning! I also cut down on simple carbs, and last but not least drink lots and lots of fresh water throughout the day!! I enjoy walking, it is the best part of my personal success! the plateau thing is the least of my worries!

    • @youtoo2233
      @youtoo2233 4 года назад +7

      @@akashdby well you know they say 80 to 90 percent of weight loss is based on what you eat and not exercise. So focus on what you're eating more than anything. I usually take off weight much faster if I eat fewer carbs and I don't snack all day and don't eat for several hours before bedtime and drink water and cut the sugar almost completely, and cut way back on processed food like stuff in Frozen bags and frozen pizzas and all that. Stick with this method a few weeks and you definitely won't gain weight and should lose easily 1 or 2 pounds per week depends on your size and how much you need to lose

I keep a constant 1500 calorie intake per day. My BMR is 1251 and I add in 249 because of the training. Protein 40%, Carbs 30%, Fat 30%. I have visually seen a loss of body fat, and the last two weeks its not so much. I still have stubborn belly fat from pregnancy and being overweight. I hate the explanation "You're just not counting everything" or "You're not counting correctly". This pops up every time someone says they're in a plateau despite calorie deficit. Then comes the "your body gets adjusted, so lower your calorie intake". I eat under 1200 calories a day (yes, I count correctly, and no it's not easy) and still plateau. I can't bear to go any lower than that.

I think at this point since my calories are 1600-1700 a day and I work out and do cardio, it just comes down to patience. I also do intermittent fasting for at least 16-17 hours a day. I suppose my body reached its set point and hopefully I can whittle the last bit of fat down. I’m just not sure what els I could do besides maybe up the cardio.

I eat 2000-2300 calories per day and hike 3 miles 3 days-per-week, 4.5 1-day-per-week, and 6 miles 1-day-per-week, with 2 days of no exercise. My BMR (sedentary) is currently at 3100 calories per-day with an average caloric burning of 4700 through exercise per-week. The 4700 calories burned plus the 1000 calorie deficit from intake should equate to a loss of 3.34 pounds of fat lost per week. I'm 36 years old and 6'3" and male.

    if you hit a fat loss plateau and follow your macros, decrease macros and increase cardio
    (obviously by a reasonable amount). pretty simple, its working for me.

    The plateau where you got this word sounds beautiful. In the disease there are the words crisis, i.e. the rise of the disease, the decline of the disease and remission, weakening or decrease. Those. the process of movement of disease or recovery. Plateau geographical designation (fr. Plateau, from plat - "flat") - an elevated plain with a flat or wavy, weakly divided surface, bounded by distinct ledges from the adjacent plain spaces of the earth's surface. The plateau has no movement due to the fact that it is a plane. The plateau has only displacement due to the shift We are constantly on it on the plateau. It does not rise and fall. I did not understand. What does medicine and geography do. There is a name stable remission. Reconvalescence is a recovery process. normal life of the body after an illness. Stable (lat. Balance) state of health. Did not try to repeat the textbook of geography

    Great video Matty, and late congratulations on the Alphalete sponsorship, you definitely deserve it!
    I had an idea for a video topic, "Healthy Fats". Lets see if I can give a good explanation of what I mean in a comment... The Idea of IIFYM or Flexible dieting is that there aren't "healthy" or "unhealthy" foods, just foods comprised of different macro and micro nutrients (that is my general understanding, simplified for typing purposes). Your goal is to consume a certain amount of various macro and micro nutrients during a given day, but it doesn't really matter where they come from. However; I still hear many people say the words "healthy fats" (often referring to things like avocado, almonds, omega 3 from fish, etc...), which seems to contradict the idea of IIFYM. I have wondered if this has more to do with it just being common and easy to say, or saying "healthy fats" sounds a lot better vs just saying "fats", or referring to an item that has fat + is loaded in micros so it just makes a good choice in your overall diet. Maybe I am being too nit picky and it's really not that serious, but the thought popped into my head so I would love your take on it.

  • @justaddmusclecom

    Keep insulin Secretion at a minimum through intermittent fasting and carb restriction and you can loose all the weight you want imo.

      +Just Add Muscle You can't even spell lose properly. Why would anyone take you seriously? Go figure the guy who probably dropped out of Elementary school thinks Ketosis is healthy and carbs are evil. There's more to life and health than just being at a low body fat % and not getting the proper nutrition your cells need.

    • @justaddmusclecom

      Brad Clarke Some times there are people so stupid in the world that they are not worth arguing with but allowing them to continue drowning in their own cestpool of shit, stupidity and ignorance. Not even going to try to have an educated conversation with some one of your IQ level. There is absolutely no benefit to either party. Kinda like talking to a cement block.

    • @bradclarke7874
      @bradclarke7874 8 лет назад +1

      Just Add Muscle I'm stupid but you can't even differentiate verbs and adjectives like loose and lose, lol. Trying to over-compensate with that paragraph. Carbs are plant foods with the highest micronutrient density and are the preferred fuel source of the brain and cells.
      Just because you can lose some body fat quicker in ketosis doesn't mean it's a good idea, especially if it means depriving your cells of the valuable nutrition that comes from legumes and colourful fruits and vegetables.
      You can write as many walls-of-text as you want; you're a monkey and you should leave nutrition advice to people much smarter than you.

      ive been doing IF with a ketogenic style for a couple months but have stalled out at 205 lbs. I basically went balls deep from the beginning with low carb/IF when I should had taken baby steps. I was 1400 cals a day with cardio and the scale just never dipped under 204 for over two weeks.

    Would love to see an in-depth video on diet breaks my man. At least in terms of what to expect with a little bit of fat gain but more progress in the long run. I feel like some people are afraid of that loss of program (myself included) but don't realize the long term benefit of say a 2 week diet break after dieting for 14 weeks

    Listen guys when you're trying to lose weight fast and if you're hitting a plateau just do intervals stairs France after every meal and write in the morning when you wake up before you eat anything and at night before you sleep do some more stare sprints and then you would see your weight drop dramatically but you have to be dieting as well meaning very low carbs no bread no sweets and possibly almost no sugars this is really easy guys it just depends on how bad you want to lose weight and if you want to lose weight really bad and you stick to what I'm telling you you will lose weight fast remember interval stairs friends after every meal and in the morning before your meal

    this doesnt make any sense, how can you raise your calories to maintenance. when your bmr has dropped to the point where your cut calories are maintenance. thats why you are plateauing. you can't eat up to maintenance if you aren't losing weight. that means you're already at maintenance

    • @yesguy245
      @yesguy245 7 лет назад

      eating up would just put you into a surplus.
