    You guys forgot about those really thick pens that have like 20 colors and you just pick what color you want by pressing down that tab at the top! Also, style trend (if you were REALLY cool): anything Tommy Hilfiger, especially the jeans!

    Lola's 90s outfit is giving me major deja Vu vibes of myself, circa 1998. I was in fourth grade and that outfit looks exactly what I would have worn to school on picture day, even down to the butterfly clips. The 90s were the best! I'm so glad I got to be a 90s kid!

And on my 13 bday my dad bought me my own clear phone and line!! He hid it under my bed and kept calling it till I figured it out. And Trapper Keepers!! Picking it out was the best part of going back to school. You guys are on point. Lola looks like me in middle school! I wish I knew how to put a picture here!!! Love this!!🤗💜

    I had my daughter in 1994 but I had most of these in highschool in the later 80's. Oh my goodness am I THAT OLD!!!! YIKES🙀👵🏻 Those troll pencils I could play with for hours in class! Lol I remember smelly pens before the markers. Oh and the clicker pens that had 4 colors in one pen. They still make those I think. But all my notes to friends were in rainbow of colors.🌈 How about Keds... I still love a solid white pair of Keds... I'm loving these extra videos!!

  • @Knight-of-Sarcasm
    @Knight-of-Sarcasm 5 лет назад +1

    A lot of these were 80's too. I wore a fanny pack that neon color (one pink, one green); I had begged mom for a Trapper Keeper but she wouldn't give it to me and we had the floofy hair pens/pencil toppers--but not Troll ones. We also had stickers. Ours were mostly scratch and sniff, but I adored those and even put them on the wooden name plaque I had on my desk my junior year of high school in Vocational Accounting/Computing from 84-86! :) The rugby was also popular in the 80's. :) It' neat to see how clothing changed from the 80's to the 90's. My own hair wasn't long enough for scrunchies until the mid-90's, grins. Mom kept it permed in the 80's (with natural curly hair so hello poodle!) but never a spiral perm like I really wanted. Thanks guys!

    I was in school in the 80's and Trapper Keepers were just starting to get popular, especially in my small town high school in Oklahoma. Here's the thing, though, they were only the solid colors - red, green, and blue - and they were considered contraband in my school. We were not allowed to use them. At all. If you were caught with one it was taken away from you and your parents got called. We were supposed to use binders like those ones with the denim looking covers. I never had a Trapper Keeper because my folks were "rule followers" when it came to school stuff.

    • @kebert2thumbsup

      In the 90s when I got mine. 5☆ made solid coloured fabric ones that zipped. (Did they zip or am I misremembering?) Mine was blue. Still have the pencil case that would clip inside the binder!

      omg please be joking sarcasm right? enjoy?! making book covers in 90's 3rd through 8th, were worse than math class in some ways for me hated having to go food store ask for stack of brown paper bags they were free but still and getting lots of tape.. having to measure like trying wrap gifts. which to this day i stink at as i waste paper by accident i end up too much or too little when cutting and so hard me cut straight paper should come with lines. and had to be replaced like twice a year.sharpies and stickers to decorate. when i got to high school i used the special non residue see through stick on book covers no cloth ones until after i graduated which was 2001.

    ahh my childhood born in 82. in elementary i mostly had character backapcks and lunchbox with thermos sets. like cabbage patch and my little pony 1st through 3rd. u forgot caboodles though as they well were back to school items my sis and i got one every few years for while. had one for all of my butterlfy clips and and scrunchies and elastics. also good for kid bracelets i think they still sell caboodles. mid 90's i was in middle school up graded from trapper keeper to five star brand zipper organizers. they were plain color but that what multicolor sharpies and gel pens were made for. just one question on the pens at the end i didn't know/think those were popular in the 90's. i only just heard about them like few years ago. i got a set of 5 pack color sticks earlier today and other day i got set 3 pack blue red and black click frixion pens. i like how can erase and not have to wipe away pieces of eraser. i know i swear never heard of them in 90's because stuck with blue and black papermate erasable pens required in 3rd to 5th grade for spelling and writing compositions in english class. oh those troll pencils i so miss those. had few and also had troll dolls my younger sis too. going to middle school in 90's also had tons of bath and body works body sprays,gel, and lotions and so great they had the purse size ones. i had a lot of lisa frank stuff too in elementary and middle school.also pencils i had a lot of Yikes! brand pencils couple of packs of all varieties colors. and even a cool sharpener and erasers. Scented markers yep of course also had scented crayolas too. when i got to high school lol still the 90's i used only mechanical pencils Bic or papermate brand. no organizers but five star brand folders and pencil pouches and notebooks. expensive brand but good quality.

    I actually have many of those things in my house that I actually use! I didn't know that scrunchies, butterfly clips, acid washed jeans and Mr. Sketch Markers were '90s fads! Guess I lived my late 2000s to 2017 childhood being outdated....
    My favorite of them all is the fanny pack!!! It's a purse you wear around your waist, so you can't lose it! (Something I am good at) 😋

    • @amandabaker4678
      @amandabaker4678 2 года назад

      Acid wash jeans was really more of an 80s fad, I don't remember wearing them at all in the 90s. Same with the neon shown in the fanny pack, that might have extended a bit into the 90s, but not a lot. Mr Sketch Markers were both an 80s and 90s thing!
      Fanny packs might not be the most flattering, but very practical - I haven't had one since I was a teen in the 90s - and I recently got a new one because I am tired of always forgetting my purse!

    My 90s staples:
    Two tiny strands of hair, one on each side, held at the back with a butterfly clip. Middle part.
    Hypercolor shirt, just the front tucked into jean shorts.
    Masseur sandals - did you guys have those in the USA? They were a bit like adidas slides crossed with Birkenstock’s, but less cool than either. They were torture devices disguised as massages for your feet, with little nodules all over. If you couldn’t hack the massage ones, they also came in cork soles but you weren’t as cool.

    Msg received. Thank you ❤️

    Where did you find all of that? I've been looking for some of those items for a nostalgia box. The butterfly clips, troll pencils, Lisa Frank anything and the erasable pens.
    I love your videos. Thank you for sharing all your amazing fun with us.

    I changed my profile pic to my kids in the early 90’s. That’s the only way I could add a picture. Love the video.

    Back in the 1950s the two most popular things to have for a kid in school was a coon skin cap like Davy Crockett. Or a six shooter (a toy pistol) strapped to your hip like Roy Rogers or The lone ranger. Dressing up like Zorro was only popular during Halloween.

    Yes!! I had that phone and that dress! I loved that the ringer could turn off and just light up for secret silent calls. Trapper keeper too yes! But those were expensive so don’t think I got it more than once. But lots of scrunchies was and still is a must have!

    My favorite 90's fad was the checked shirt tied around the waist. Guess what my 11 year old daughter wears all the time now.

    The revival of the bumbag & scrunchies upsets me... I actually bought a bumbag for my daughter for her birthday last week... I am ashamed #coolparentfail
