All my friends freak out when I eat weird things (that may or may not, have a bug, or been dropped on the floor) But Pen is right, *its a good source of protein!*
Soaking fruit and veggies is about keeping strictly kosher, and living the kosher that is instructed in the Talmud: it says don’t eat bugs at least 3 times in the Torah. So practically speaking, When you really really don’t want to eat bugs, ya gotta do more than just soak them in salty water: 1. Yep, make your soaking mixture: put warm water, and plenty of salt to kill the bugs. and then add little soap so the bugs slide off. 2. Pull off any obvious stuff to discard (such as the berry tops). 3. Put the fruit or Veggies into the soaking mix. 4. Yep, Soak the fruit and or veggies. 5. Nope. a worm is not going to jump out of the fruit or veggies!! You have to examine it. 6. So you carefully rinse off the soapy salty water, and examine the water for bugs, as well as the fruit or veggies. 7. You have to actually cut open the fruit to see if there are bugs inside. And cut anything off that looks suspiciously like a bug has been in there. Or nibbled at that part. Yes I do go through that process, and anyone who is strictly strictly kosher, such as an Orthodox or Chasidus Jewish person does the same process! If you eat shellfish or don’t keep kosher then don’t worry about it!! Enjoy the extra protein in your life!! And don’t bother soaking your produce!!😳😁😁
I grew up with our own gardens, including strawberries, and everyone who raises their own produce knows that there are bugs in amongst/on the produce---they have to eat, too. Just wash everything, and it's fine.

5 minute craft hacks The cement one is super funny like seriously who’s going to use this
All my friends freak out when I eat weird things (that may or may not, have a bug, or been dropped on the floor) But Pen is right, *its a good source of protein!*
i really enjoy watching your videos and i'm glad Quarantine didn't stop them!
Soaking fruit and veggies is about keeping strictly kosher, and living the kosher that is instructed in the Talmud: it says don’t eat bugs at least 3 times in the Torah.
So practically speaking, When you really really don’t want to eat bugs, ya gotta do more than just soak them in salty water:
You don't let your daughter have captain crunch cereal
That's why mom always washed the fruits and veggies before serving/cooking them

Did it work?
krisushi1 yah it was so cool I love it
I grew up with our own gardens, including strawberries, and everyone who raises their own produce knows that there are bugs in amongst/on the produce---they have to eat, too. Just wash everything, and it's fine.
Lola has got these figured out.
Ths is the only way i get through this panedemic....Keep up the good work! ❤😷
