Walmart came out with several different motor oils formulated for motorcycles, ATV and UTV vehicles in their Super Tech line. I believe this happened sometime in the last year. There is a 10W40 4-Stroke full synthetic oil and a 20W50 full synthetic oil advertised for motorcycles, and a 10W30 full synthetic for ATV's and side by side vehicles.

I started using the 20W-50 late July 2019 in my '01 Electra Glide crankcase. Bike had 96k miles. Went to Sturgis and did some touring. Changed it after 3500 miles upon my return with Super-Tech again. Had no issues, no excessive lifter noise, or oil usage. I live in an area where temperatures in late July are 110-115 F. Sent a virgin sample to lab for testing. Until I started using Super-Tech, I had almost exclusively used Mobil One 15W-50 car oil and a few changes with Valvoline 20W-50 motorcycle oil(I picked up the Valvoline at Wally's as they cut the price to clear the shelves for the Super-Tech). Also had no issues with the Mobil or Valvoline.

And super tech is just as good as Valvoline!! And I've even seen them compared to Amazon oil and super tech is better than Amazon oil!! Viscosities and temperature testings!! It blowed my mind when the guy got the results back!! I would like to see the same thing done with wet clutch protection oils versus name brand wet clutch oils!! My 2018 Kawasaki Concours 1400 , the manual calls for API SG,SH,SJ,SL or SM, as the letters go higher in the alphabet, the oil is basically updated, the Supertech has API - SL, which exceeds my manuals expectations, also for a motorcycle with a wet clutch it requires one of the following - MA, MA1, MA2, Supertech has all 3, therefore, this oil is legit, it is a good oil, if the API (American Petroleum Institute) is on the oil bottle, that is very important, in which it is 👍 the engine my bike has on it is the Ninja 1400 cc , high performance with a lot of power, Supertech is what i have in it ...

I appreciate the explanation man! So on my 2017 Honda Rancher, it calls for SG, so I’m guessing I’m good.
But I read this post on a forum saying that SL doesn’t have….???….certain additives that SG does. So you should basically just go with SG then. But I’ve also read exactly what you said about the higher the letter, the more it’s been updated. This makes my brain bleed. Lol! I want to use this Supertech cause at $6 a quart for what looks like a great synthetic, i think this is an awesome deal. But I’m hesitant. I believe my Rancher is also a wet clutch. I’m using Honda GN4, which is just conventional SG rated Dino oil. You think the Supertech would be a great step up?

The SuperTech 10w40 motorcycle oil is supposedly full synthetic for $5 but there's a catch.... It's only an API SL grade oil, meaning it's outdated. SL oil was used in 2001-2004 then better SM came along and then later (current) SN oil came out. A full synthetic API SN oil is going to be better than old SL oil. I almost bought this but used Rotella T6 full syn instead, it's made for diesel engines but is also made for motorcycles (JSAO MA2) and is current API SN/(CK-4).....That SuperTech motorcycle oil has no API Service donut label on the container. It'd be ok for an older motorcycle but I wouldn't use it in a newer bike unless the manual says API SL is ok to use . The Rotella T6 is only slightly more expensive but better/up to date oil and a good price.
