One of the most complete and understandable videos how to replace the fuel pump on a car. Thank you for the video! 👍🏻
Thanks! 😁🙌🏼
Watching as I’m out of gas headed to work on the side of the highway I have to pull this thing this week!!!
Ugh! At least you have no gas so the tank will be lighter!
@@AutoAutopsy true job done all went well a little greasy but hey
Nice job. In the end, we knew we don't need to remove the rear wheal plastic cover in order to access the fuel tank.
Hearing that walbro hiflow pump high-pitched, fairly loud whine for a second each time the key is turned in my Vig, puts a big smile on my face.
Nope....not stock....not at all. 💪💪
Are you baking your headlights and putting in new fancy projectors? 😉 Not that I've been planning on doing that . . . 🤪
I agree. The fuel pump really needed to be replaced. Good call
Thankyou for this video Jacob, we've just watched this to help with the replacement of my fuel pump, I was left stranded the other day when the car cut out and got towed home because of the fuel pump failing
Sorry to hear! Hope you get it running soon
@AutoAutopsy Thanks buddy me too 🤞
Wow, in three weeks you've dealt with the two jobs I've never done that I'm most paranoid about, water pump and fuel pump, and made it look easy. Grassy-ass
Have to do the same job with a Stock Fuel Pump. Epic help :)
Congratulations on a job well done!
Just purchased that stubby milwaukee recently, what a beast
Nice!
Everyone, please note, the clips do not have to be backed out to remove the lines. It is only necessary to press right in the middle and pull out. It is designed to be a quick connect and disconnect with one hand and no tools.
good advice! I struggled with that method; perhaps my fingers are just not strong enough, lol
i had to do this job 3 times in a row back to back in 2022, in the summer lol lots of trial and error!
when the pump failed, it failed at night as i was going 80mph up a hill.
Had enough power to get me over and rolled down towards an exit, good times!
Ugh! That sucks. Hope your fuel issues are behind you now
I may have cut a holein the rear seat (car will die with me tho) but I have made an access cover with a sound deadening seal.
You make it look easy. Especially on jackstands. Nice job
Thank you 🙏🏼
Late 2022 my fuel pump died which I had no idea, sent it to a shop and they "fixed" it with a new regular pump. 2 month later the pump died, sent to the same shop and they said it was a electrical problem.... yeah... they screwed the connections/wires.
Now I have to personally drop the tank, because I don't thrust them anymore, check the damage and get a list of the parts I need to order, plus a better pump.
I'll go for a 1000hp pump instead of that little 400hp one you have. 😁😅
Rip. 1000hp would be way excessive, but if that makes you happy then go for it. You might need to run thicker gauge wires at that point
@@AutoAutopsy I know, I know. I was joking. But I think I saw some here on RUclips swapping the pump for a 1000hp rated one and I didn't remember wiring upgrades.
Did this not have the access panel under rear seat? Thought they had that up until 2005
What type of Fuel pump you got in Maptun, the aftermarket or Original one
Walbro 255 like I mentioned in the video and is shown in the thumbnail!
What type of Walbro fuel pump, like model number did you get brother?
Walbro 255 like I mentioned in the video and is shown in the thumbnail!
I remember the pictures where the dudes were Cutting a hole under the back seat lol that was painful and stupid to watch
A complete shame… 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
