They never take into account either if a mother is suffering from postpartum in any form and is really hard to form that bond with the baby to breastfeed. Then you feel guilty because you don't feel that bond and you can't breastfeed so then the more stressed you are lots of times the less milk you produce. If you have outside people giving you their opinion it makes it even worse

  • @jyn88
    @jyn88 4 года назад +5

How about people just mind their business? We shouldn't need to "normalize" formula feeding or breastfeeding. Just mind your business!! As long as the baby is healthy and unharmed. I heard babies get hungry quicker with breastmilk. You constantly have to feed more than if they were on formula. My sister had similar experience where she had a very long and tiring labor and birth. After he was finally born (close to 3am), the nurses kept trying to make my sister breastfeed. She was exhausted, hungry, and lacked sleep. Most hospitals no longer take your baby into nursery. They leave them in your room so you better have the energy the moment baby is born.

I'm sorry, talking about the Kristen Stewart Happiest Season, how many damn straight actors played gay characters? And vice versa: how many gay actors played straight characters?
Tia Mowry-Hardrict played a lesbian on ROSEWOOD and she's straight. Neil Patrick Harris played multiple straight men when he's gay himself in real life. Robin Wright is straight, but her character in WONDER WOMAN was implied (and possibly confirmed) as gay. Jake Gyllenhaal is straight but him and Heath Ledger played a couple.
The only thing I think they should do is if the character is transgender, then I think they should hire a transgender actor/actress to play the character. Same with non-binary, my opinion.
SIDE NOTE: I watched the Happiest Season and I thought it was cute, to be honest.

    “ FORMULA SHAMING?!” :
Shout out to Chrissy !!! Women always have society against them in one way or another... and there seems to be some type or pressure and expectation that if you’re a mother feed your kids this... if you’re don’t public don’t pull out your boob , and it’s like stop people how to raise their children
“SHOULD STRAIGHT ACTORS PLAY LGBTQ+ ROLES” :
I think the issue is moreso that people who are a certain this or that aren’t getting the roles even though they are this or that... we’ve seen it with poc characters played by people not of that race , we’ve seen it with people who don’t have that experience live through it by the character they are and see the perspective to bring a different type of element to it ! But if they are that race , that height , that sexual orientation , that disability then let them show their stuff !
    “WORD OF 2020” :
From Adrienne mentioning Family , to Jeannie opening up a about gaining back her weight , Loni being goofy and Garcelle shocking me with vibrator lol I’m just- LETS KEEP THIS ENERGY UP 😂

Wow Adrienne has really flourished and grown throughout this show. I think that during the first couple seasons she had a more limited vocabulary and now she is more articulate. I remember her saying she was reading more and trying to learn new words, it helped, girl!!!!!

Some mothers may have a diseases or virus that can be transferred through breast milk so they may choose formula to avoid risk of spreading anything. People jump to conclusions and judgements so quickly without stopping to consider every variable that could exist in the mother/ infants life

Whether women tried or not. Someone ppl don’t want to breastfeed and that’s ok..it doesn’t mean that they are bad moms. As long as the child is getting fed and is healthy like Lonnie said, that’s what’s important.

My mother in law pulled me from the hospital so I could rest after we had our baby because they had woke me up every 2 hours to feed my baby not letting me rest at all & she wasn't hungry. Then they pushed me to get on birth control to not have another baby right away but within a week if getting it I stopped producing & was heart broken.

it makes me sad that Gracelle faced this type of situation in a hospital setting where she was already so vulnerable. they did long term studies years ago between breast vs formula and found there were no differences for a child's health and wellness except one in a very small percentage that breast fed babies had less ear infections. this could have been due to a number of different factors including the way the bottle was held, the type of bottle or the way the baby was held during feeding, it was completely unknown as to why this anomaly happened. happy, healthy children is the ONLY important thing here. if you want breast feed and you're able to, do it, and if you don't, then don't. you're the mom, it's your choice, your business.

Requiring actors to be gay/lesbian in order to play a G/L character could be considered a form of discrimination: regardless of their gender, sex, sexual orientation, etc. the person who best portrays the character should be the one to get the gig.

Female products should be free everywhere. Woman did not ask for this monthly thing. We have to have it because of no fault of our own. Men get covered for the blue pill but we cant get our products covered. Ridicules and sexist. Mom shaming needs to end. We all just do the best we can. As long as our babies are healthy and happy we all doing a great job.

Garcielle's explanation a opinion was perfect. The point of acting is that you are playing a part that is not like yourself. That would also limit people's opportunities if they were only casted in parts of their sexuality and experience.

I agree with Adrienne in that an underrepresented minority should be considered first for their group's roles, assuming the individual fits the overall direction. It is a grey area though and some crossover can be a good thing. A mixture in actors' backgrounds can sometimes bridge the relatability for some audiences.

Menstrual cups should be available for all. They have to be replaced less frequently and don’t harbor bacteria because they are made of silicone. I think it would change the game for women experiencing homelessness.

I honestly have gotten more breastfeeding shaming. People always want to make you feel bad for breastfeeding in public even with a damn cover. They always want to judge you when you feel you want to stop breastfeeding. The pressure to “get them off the breast by 1” like they are BOTH equally shamed and it’s terrible

I agree with Jeanne and Adrienne about having gay actors play gay parts. They have a harder time getting parts like Darren criss playing gay roles like Ryan Murphy could have found a gay actor to play Andrew cunanan like he could have discovered a fantastic new actor that was gay to play that role but because Ryan tends to pick his friends to be in his shows that’s also the problem they don’t care about if they are gay or not they just want a popular actor to play that part. They need to start having gay actors play gay parts they should have that let them prove that they can do it

I remember in middle and highschool I would go to the school clinic and get these packages that had tampons pads even a mini razor and sanitary stuff in the bag FOR FREE!! AND JUST LIKE GARCELLE SAID. I was that kid that had to choose between food or tampons. Yes I said "i" because I had to raise myself!! This was in miami. So we good on that subject in the school system and I thank God and the school system for this. Lol I remember I would go like two or three times that week during the time of month. Because it only came with like three or four
