Favorite episode of Season 2 thus far! I just love the way that all the pieces fell into place this episode. Cicero underestimated Octavian and allowed him to become Consul. Octavian immediately used his position to declare Brutus and Cassius murderers and used his army to intimidate the Senate into voting for the motion unanimously. Cicero called on Brutus and Cassius to return to Rome with their army to save the Republic from Octavian. Outnumbered, Octavian decides to retreat North with his host where he uses Atia to broker an alliance with Marc Antony. You can't keep a good soldier down. Marc Antony easily turned the Senate host under Lepidus to his side. Fortunately, Marc Antony hates Brutus, Cassius and Cicero more than he hates Octavian. The two are allies for now. I'm hoping for a big battle next episode. Vorenus and his family have a tenuous relationship but at the very least the children are safe for now, even though they are clearly unhappy living with their father. As always thanks for watching!
