Threadfin rainbowfish are one of my favorite fish. The tank youve made for them is beautiful! The elements work so well together! The number of fish in there, to me, looks good and not too complicated or busy. Congrats on camera, too. It looks really good.
Great build, simple and elegant and beautiful. I really like the selection of fish as well, the threadfin rainbowfish have an ethereal quality to them while the rosy loaches are just adorable little guys. I don't think you should add other species of fish, but maybe give the rosy loaches 5 more friends?
This beautiful scape has the classic MJ feeling to it. I totally love threadfin rainbows.. And congratulations on the new camera..the clips are coming out much better
Hi, several months ago I have found your channel and I really like you work. Please keep your enthusiasms. Best wishes. And really nice simple aquascape 👍
I really like this tank! The Hardscape looks great and that carpet is growing like crazy! I love the lotus! And these little threadfin rainbows are absolutely beautiful 😻
Very nice. Love the tanks with stands. Someone mentioned Angel fish. I agree. They are so beautiful and would make a statement. Thanks MJ as always. (New camera 👍🏼👍🏼)
Aquasabi is one of the best shops in Germany when it comes to plants. Good choice! Beautiful display, too. :) Greetings P.S.: Keep up the excellent work; really like your calm and informative style.
The new camera makes a huge difference. Water clarity looks completely different. Lovely choice of stocking - maybe a feature fish if you are going to add more, but i dont think you need to.
Spectecular scape again Mark! Definately worth the little wait. I think we can all appreciate your investment in a nicer camera. Even on my phone the difference is really evident. More detail and contrast 😊
I like it how it is! I would say for sure to add more fish but my first mind is always cichlids, however I. This case maybe add empire Gudgeons or peacock Gudgeons. A breeding colon of peacock gudgeons would look cool in the bottom regions of the tank
Great creation like always. I know its pretty basic but could you talk one day about water changes and how you go over the day to day of maintenance ? Your plants are always super healthy and same for your fish.
Excellent video, you add your fish like me, without so much mystery, and they are beautiful by the way, I think I would look for fish that also covered the surface, it would remain as we say in my land... Clear! 👌🏻
Beautiful scape MJ! Tank is looking amazing. The fishes look really cool as well. Be good to see how they turn out :)! Oh and definitely noticeable difference with the new camera. Super crisp images.
Beautifull lava rocks, hard to find ones like that. They sell in stores only owal ones damaged durning transport so the loose unique shape. You are lucky to have them!
I just picked up some Threadfin Rainbows from my LFS in the U.S. I had no idea about this species until recently so it’s an awesome coincidence you’re making this build!
Wow new camera makes a difference on these tanks. I was going to say you need to replace the lights as they have terrible color reproduction and are way too warm, which they probably are, but the new camera made it better.
Ugh... I dunno if it's because his taste in aquascaping is the reason I love his videos or because he's so devilishly handsome with the most charming accent but I'm ADDICTED to his videos🦄✨️💖 love you MJ!
I've got the slightly bigger tank and the same style lights, Aqueal leddy tube plant 14watt. I'm also using black lava rock and some pieces of riverwood
Threadfin rainbow fishes are so beautiful ! I also have them in one of my tank, I love them. They are not as colorful as some other fishes, but they have a subtle beauty that is revealed when they offer you a parade. I think you should add a few more, they really love being in group. And maybe you should find some females.
Another great scape. Love your plant selection and and fish choice, maybe a group of complementary fish to accompany the Threadfin wouldn't hurt. It isn't necessary but might at interest. Glad you upgraded your camera, I can definitely see an improvement. I look forward to future cinematics. My only gripe with this set up would be the light. It seems very green/yellow and doesn't really look natural or show off the Threadfin very well. Maybe add an RGB to do the scape justice. Other than the light I love everything about this one. Nice work.
Really cool scape! I think your content is very high quality already, can't wait to see more with the new camera gear. I noticed the aquarium has a distinct green tint. I don't know if it's just me though. Is it because it's regular float glass and not optiwhite? Annyways, thanks for the video MJ. Cheering you on from Norway.
Very serene and elegant! What is the plant with long stem and floating lily-pad like leaves on the surface? And, you are a fan of no lid , so how are you liking the Oase tanks with lids?
Awesome build, MJ! Love the stocking choices so far! I always love a third group in a community tank, what behavior are you missing in there? That last shot with the two tanks together is magic 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Absolutely love your videos....I would love to do a kids version of setting up a tank with you guys! If you are ever up north (southport/liverpool way) then give me a shout. I think we could do a great video that both adults and kids would love. We are in our infancy as a channel but I think we could do a great collaboration.
I would definitely add more fish... something with a bit of a pop of color... fire tail Endlers perhaps. Complimentary but not as monochromatic. Either way goregous... love your tanks and videos.
Hey Mark very nice setup! Unfortunately the shop only sold you males from the iriatherinas. So maybe you get around 10 more females? But I know they are difficult to get....
I like this simple setup looking good and congrats on your new Sony A7 IV an excellent full frame camera! I've got Sony A7S III very similar one (a little bit better for video though😊). Can I ask which lenses did you buy for your new Sony?
@@MJAquascaping Good all way around kit lens! I tell you something once I bought this camera I started spending all my money on lenses. It’s like an addiction 😂 Once you save a bit i would recommend to buy sony 16-35 f2.8. This is my favourite lens so far. Very wide and good for vlogging also has a little zoom and small focus distance perfect to film fish and shrimp
Nice build. You can see the difference with your new tech, what camera did you go for? I would add an accent fish, i.e. something that isn't grey/silver.
MJ Aquascaping: if you put sand on top of the soil, you prevent nutrients from the soil getting into the water, and this will mean less algae and less water change.
hey, if you wan't to out some more fish into the tabnk, i'd suggest a more center-piece like fish. For example; golden rams, honey gouramis, dwarf gouramis. I would also pick something that also has a warmer colour, for example am blue fish would look kinda weird with the rest of the fish/plants
I’m contemplating to get the Oase Styleline as well! Can I ask you are the lights with separate sockets and if so what do you use to put them on a timer together?

Threadfin rainbowfish are one of my favorite fish. The tank youve made for them is beautiful! The elements work so well together! The number of fish in there, to me, looks good and not too complicated or busy.
Congrats on camera, too. It looks really good.
Very nice. I like how the rock is really dark against the green plants.
Great build, simple and elegant and beautiful. I really like the selection of fish as well, the threadfin rainbowfish have an ethereal quality to them while the rosy loaches are just adorable little guys. I don't think you should add other species of fish, but maybe give the rosy loaches 5 more friends?
Yes add more. Pseudomugil furcatus ( blue eyed fork tail)would be a great addition. Great work sir!!
I instantly noticed a difference in video image quality when you switched, before you even mentioned it 😊
There's a huge difference in the clarity of the fish with the new camera. I'm loving your videos more now!
I love the way you put the rocks in there, they look like mountains.
You really nailed the lighting and plant choice with this one!
Another beautiful tank and fish too! The quality of the imagery with your new camera is A1 👌
Thanks again 😊
This beautiful scape has the classic MJ feeling to it. I totally love threadfin rainbows..
And congratulations on the new camera..the clips are coming out much better
Those checkerboard cichlids at 12:37 look awesome! Of course, your threadfin rainbows are spectacular!
love to watch others with the same passion i have for this hobby 😮
Love the tank, perfect amount of fish. Well done!
Wow! Looks neat, the camera quality is great too! Also thank u for putting the window with plant info there, it really helps!

Love the scape and longfin rainbows.
Totally fab!
Really love your videos, favorite RUclipsr right now! Hoping that I soon start this hobby too
Thats such a cool fish. Perfect
Very nice. Love the tanks with stands. Someone mentioned Angel fish. I agree. They are so beautiful and would make a statement. Thanks MJ as always.

Nice build Mark! I'm a big fan of lava rock. Lamp eyes would look cool with the thread fins.
Absolutely agree 👌
Beautiful scape MJ! Tank is looking amazing. The fishes look really cool as well. Be good to see how they turn out :)!

Reminds me of The Land Before Time, beautiful tank btw, gud job..👏🏼👍🏼

Beautiful and relaxed style ... id like to see the filter layout , always curious about the behind the scenes ,
Ik vind hem eigenlijk in zijn eenvoud erg mooi. De vissen zijn ook erg rustig en passen 👌🏻 bij de scape. Mooi hoor!!
Some Bleeding heart tetra would look great in this tank, or penguin tetra. Both easy to keep.
Love the look to this tank, wild yet easy on the eye 👍
I also have a thread fin rainbow tank.. this is absolutely beautiful! Excellent work!
I just picked up some Threadfin Rainbows from my LFS in the U.S.
I had no idea about this species until recently so it’s an awesome coincidence you’re making this build!
Same lmao I literally got some today in US
Wow new camera makes a difference on these tanks. I was going to say you need to replace the lights as they have terrible color reproduction and are way too warm, which they probably are, but the new camera made it better.
I’m usually the last person to notice any kind of tech change, but it seems like the new camera really did make a difference!
Looking good lad, little moss bushes are quality 👌🏽

Thanks mj. I have learned alot from you.
New camera looks nice!
This looks great and the improved image is really good. Cant wait to see more videos.
Very cool 🤩, your scapes/aquariums always amaze me. Now I got 4 tanks myself 😂😂💪
Wow, I was just taking to my mate today about how I use to have Threadfin rainbows and how amazing of a fish they are.
Spooky hahaha
I've got the slightly bigger tank and the same style lights, Aqueal leddy tube plant 14watt. I'm also using black lava rock and some pieces of riverwood
Geen andere vissen erbij..prachtig zo!
Thank you. Great stuff! Appreciated!
new camera is very nice!!!!!!
I don't know if sparse was the look you were going for, but you achieved it.
It's a minimalist tank. 😁
Great tank 🎉!!
Have you ever kept angelfish? Maybe just a pair, with some echinodorus for background plants, maybe they will spawn ❤
Threadfin rainbow fishes are so beautiful ! I also have them in one of my tank, I love them. They are not as colorful as some other fishes, but they have a subtle beauty that is revealed when they offer you a parade.

Prachtig nieuwe bak weer, jij hebt echt talent, leuke vissenkeuze, lekker zo laten, niet meer erbij doen, veel succes!
Maybe a small centerpiece cichlid? an apistogramma cacuatoides would look amazing in this tank
Amazing fish store😊
Really cool scape! I think your content is very high quality already, can't wait to see more with the new camera gear.
I noticed the aquarium has a distinct green tint. I don't know if it's just me though. Is it because it's regular float glass and not optiwhite? Annyways, thanks for the video MJ. Cheering you on from Norway.
I think the green tint is actually some green dust algae 😁
I was wondering the same thing about that greenish tint.
Very nice setup. The substrate and rock selection are really good. P.S. The new camera makes a huge difference
Very serene and elegant! What is the plant with long stem and floating lily-pad like leaves on the surface? And, you are a fan of no lid , so how are you liking the Oase tanks with lids?
I love this!
Love your content man keep it up. You got the touch lol I try to recreate your style and plants but don’t do so well. I’ll keep trying!
Un fondo negro se vería espectacular para esos peces! Y con una luz mejor ya sería de exposición.😊
Noticeable difference in the new camera!
Awesome build, MJ! Love the stocking choices so far! I always love a third group in a community tank, what behavior are you missing in there? That last shot with the two tanks together is magic 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I really like it - it’s so relaxing! ❤ These stones are so beautiful. I’m not sure if you need more fish.🤔
Nice one 👍

i laughed a little seeing what seems like an isopod just roaming around the rocks on 9:30 😆 hope it survived the flood😅

Hi, Im curious why you are not using fan? because i have been advised to use one to keep the temperature lower
Love the quality of the new camera🤩 what camera is it?
Sony A7 IV 😊
What is the tall plant in the back right with leaves floating at the surface? Thanks! Another gorgeous scape!
hydrocleys nymphoides :)

Hopefully soon!
@@MJAquascaping fantastic. My wife and I got sucked into the journey of saltwater. We hope your setup is doing well. Thanks for the reply.
For future tanks maybe trying out some fertilizer and some dirt and sand
It would be great to see a dario dario or short finned betta in the tank. Just so to get the alpha running around
I do love Dario Dario!
Ze worden nog leuker als ze paaigedrag vertonen, echt een spektakel ;)
In my opinion you should add just one main focal fish, like an Apistogramma or Ramirezi. Cheers.
What do you use for background? It’s looks great, natural as a light blue sky !
Self adhesive glass foil 😊
Beautiful simple setup ! Do you have a heater ? Because they need min 26°c
Not at the moment, but when summer is over I will probably add a heater

Yeah the lights both have their own plug, so I bought this dual smart socket bit.ly/3WKc8Hy
i the yellowish tint color of lights intentional? i prefer it being colder tbh
Beautifull tank...what kind of nymphaea did you used in the background?
hydrocleys nymphoides!
