    There are a lot of problems with the bird situation, one part in particular that makes me upset is how she conflates "I can sexually arouse my bird" with "My bird is sexually attracted to me"
    Animals (including human beings!) can have responses to sexual stimulation without WANTING that stimulation. Arousal is not consent, and it is truly disgusting and bizarre that I am making this comment about A BIRD.

    I felt nauseated when she said “he’s sexually attracted to me” and went on to molest her bird in the most sincere meaning of that word. This is so so so bad. She implied that the screaming stopped eventually as well because he’s sexually stimulated. This woman sees sex as something..strange. She sees it as a fun trick. This is so so so weird the way she views men, women, and animals? Sexually? Like? She seems to think everyone wants her sexually and it’s not cute. It’s disgusting and frankly I get some really off vibes from her. Like there’s something wrong there. She doesn’t care.

    • @StandAloneSoul
      @StandAloneSoul 11 месяцев назад +61

      I agree completely. And as for what ELSE is wrong and off with her, she might be attracted to /sexualizing even more beings that can not give consent to sexual activities. It wouldnt surprise me. That in itself, is one thing, but my gut feeling tells me she would be someone who purchases illegal material made in szenarios that can only be described as torture (and human trafficking, and all sorts of @buse), where you can see the souls of the victims shatter. I had a partner like that once.. I left. I did not tell the police yet because I am scared and need to move first. That person was an absolute psychopath. But I began reading after that, and I realised how important it is to differentiate between someone having disturbed desires and someone acting after them in a way that, directly or indirectly, actively or passively, supports fkcing destroying people for the rest of their life. I was a victim, too, but not in a organized or ritualized setting. Sadly, I was focused on copying the feeling that my violator, sparked in me initially. So I am ashamed to say that, I had a few partners that where kind of like that, anti-social sadists, domestic violence offenders and perpetrators of some type, animal abusers or child molesters.. She seems similarish in her behaviour from what little I got to see today.

      This may be because I'm on the spectrum, but I never even knew until recent years that lesbian porn was catered to straight men.
      I can only watch lesbian porn because it's got a lot more soft, sensual, safe energy while straight porn is really aggressive and upsetting to me. 💀
      Again, it's probably the tism.

    • @ettaetta439
      @ettaetta439 11 месяцев назад +62

      @@AsmodeuslvrTbh, lesbian pron that's catered to men is actually stereotyped to be way more aggressive than content made by wlw for wlw, and is heavily focused on penetration and roughness. You've probably been watching the right people, or maybe straight pron is just so aggressive that even lesbian pron can't compete, so it ended up giving you that perception. That, or I find a lot of people are able to stomach man-man violence or woman-woman violence but not woman-man, because they're most familiar or connected to stories of straight male aggression and just don't like seeing men be in powerful positions over women. That's also a thing.

  • @EmmyDragom57
    @EmmyDragom57 Год назад +4535

    On the bird situation: yes, parrots can be sexually stimulated by petting them anywhere below the neck, especially the back and under the wings. Essentially, only the parrot's mate would touch it below the neck, thus when an owner touches the bird on the back, it begins to see its owner as its sexual mate instead of a friend/flockmate. The bird then expects the owner to do sexual mate things like make a nest, actually mate with them, and have eggs. When these things inevitably don't happen (cuz that would be weird), the animal gets frustrated at the perceived rejection and behavioral problems can begin. Note that the petting below the neck mainly applies to parrots; petting a domestic bird like a chicken or pigeon on the back is okay.
    Also, African grey parrots are so incredibly intelligent that they quickly begin to show behavior problems (like plucking their feathers or constantly screaming) very quickly if they are not raised properly. To me, it seems she bought this very expensive (thousands of dollars) animal on a whim because it seemed cute or cool. She even admitted she did not do any research before impulse buying an animal as intelligent as a 2 year old human that will live about ~60 years. Its incredibly sad and a reason why so many parrots end up abandoned.

If she views kissing other men as cheating but not kissing other women, it means she doesn’t view wlw relationships/interactions as valid or “real” in the same way that heterosexual relationships are. As a bird owner, the way she treats marty really pisses me off. birds are extremely sensitive creatures, prone to self harm and self destruction, ESPECIALLY african greys (which is what Marty is). She claims she loves him more than anything, but she pretends to be his mate and then separates herself from him, causing him extreme stress, hence the screaming. Her behavior will encourage bad behavior in him, increase his stress levels, worsen his hormones, and make his mental health absolutely miserable. African greys are very intelligent and long lived birds, prone to depression, boredom, and feather plucking. If Tara continues to treat her bird like this, I'd say the chance of him developing horrible behavioral problems and plucking himself bald is very high. @@SneekySnixxWhich is ridiculous because it should not be that hard to have a nuanced conversation. It's healthy to self gratify, and IF you are consuming ethical pornography at a mild-moderate rate then theoretically, that would probably be healthy too. A lot of the problems with pornography come from the industry at large and the way it's produced that encourages people to develop unrealistic ideas about sex and sexual encounters. I personally would say I find it a little ridiculous that people think consuming pornography is cheating, unless it's a specific situation where they're interacting one-on-one in a specific person's content and you've made it clear you're not comfortable with your partner subscribing to a personal onlyfans or whatever. A situation like that I can understand more where your mental track is going. As well that there's nothing that should be more wrong about consuming pornography while in a relationship because realistically, your partner is probably never going to be into all of the things that you are. So if sometimes you are gratifying yourself to a scenario like that for example, I think it should be understandable. There are 100% too many people who are addicted to porn or consume unethically created porn, I think everyone can agree on that. But I have also seen some unreasonable takes from other women specifically that I believe are way too rooted in personal insecurity for them to demand those things from a partner and have that be healthy either.

    She was definitely fetishizing sapphic relationships. That said, a lot of what she said sounded like internalized homophobia to me. Given that she said she HAS had one crush on a girl, I don't think she's fully heteroromantic. I think she's been convinced by society that women aren't an option for her to date. It sounds like she has internalized homophobia regarding romantic queer relationships but not regarding sex. And yes, I think this is probably closely related to the industry she works in. Since that's promoted in that industry. Anyway point of this is I do think it sounds like she's bisexual, and it's important to note that this is internalized homophobia rather than outsider homophobia. That said, it isn't an excuse for fetishizing wlw relationships. Not an excuse- but it is an explanation.

      yeah i feel like a massive proportion of bi women - and even some women who later come to identify as lesbians - have said exactly the same thing at some point in their lives, and then discovered somewhere down the line that they absolutely can be romantic with women, they just hadn't been fully in touch with that part of themselves. as a young bi woman i definitely went through the crisis phase of "shit i think i only like men romantically and women sexually, my love life is doomed forever," but it wasn't really the case once i started getting to know myself more and actually having romantic experiences. obviously when you have a platform it pays to be more careful with your words, but this is literally what comphet does to queer women so idk why people expect her not to be affected by that.

      that entire situation made me so mad -- I'm unlabeled myself and they should've taken him saying "I'm unlabeled" as enough. because unlabeled IS for queer people!! it's for queer people who can't define their sexuality, or don't want to! my brother is unlabeled and has said before that he finds labels stupid.
      the thing I'm angry at the MOST is how people began accusing HIM of lying about being bisexual and saying "only women can be bi!"
      and the fact he had to deactivate his Twitter account because of what people had done pisses me off even more. it's why I hate it when people make videos about him being outed, or articles about it. I hate it even MORE when they use his name as a way to get clicks.
      Because that's the reality -- a teenager was OUTED. That's a TRAUMATIC situation for anyone! ANYONE! for a teenager being outed is their worst NIGHTMARE. because when you're a teenager you feel like all eyes are on you! when you're an adult you at least get to choose who knows your name.
      so for him to be outed to the ENTIRE WORLD? I can only guess how awful that was for him -- I was outed myself, twice, and I can only bet that what I felt then is a fraction of what he feels now.
      In my opinion, given how he's essentially begun to hide from social media and only does interviews now, it's rude to make videos or articles about it.
      Because his family and friends will see it - and he'll see it. yk how our phones are always listening to our conversations? yeah, their phones will most likely have picked up on the fact they know a famous person and give them more videos or articles about him. My phone was able to pick up on me and my dad talking about Hogwarts Smegacy and gave me ads and articles about it.

    I think the term "performative bisexuality", as said by the person that commented on your thread, is perfect for these situations. Sadly I know wayyy too many women that are 100% straight but will kiss other women in order to get validation from men, it's really depressing. The whole "Can real people queer-bait?" thing reminded me of Kit Connor who plays Nick in Heartstopper. He was accused of queer-baiting because he is playing a bisexual character on Heartstopper and was seen with a girl. People took from that that he was straight and thereby queer-baiting by playing a bisexual character. In the end they basically forced him to come out as bisexual even though he didn't want to discuss his sexuality in public but had to because hate comments and stuff wouldn't stop. I think the belief that real people can queer-bait is so extremely harmful. People don't know what's going on in another person. Maybe they are still experimenting with their sexuality, they could be bi, pan or something else completely, you can never know. That being said, I think what Tara did was definitely fetishizing sapphic relationships but maybe she is actually bisexual, we don't know.

      Some queer women are like this, and some women from the lgbtq+ community said that sometimers, women like them are way more sexist, rude, horrible and disgusting than straight women. That a girl who is lesbian(4 example) can, or be amazing and the best partner, or be a hellish nightmare.
      For example, in spain(my country) exists a dating show called first dates, where they hook up people who are single so they can try to get a partner. Obviously, not straight people also go there, and this case was about two girls. a butch big strong girl and a more femme presenting one.
      In less than an hour, the butch girl escaped to the bathroom an called a friend of hers. She said sth like "Omg, yo, that girl they put me with, she looks more (female "f word" or sth, its exclusively a spanish bad word for lesbians)than me like look at her, like i dont wanna be the woman of the relationship!! i dont want her! I need to be the one sodomizing in the bed, no way she is the indicated! The woman i want must be submissive"
      the worst is that the femme girl wore jeans, shirt(not even t shirt) and medium long hair(to shoulders), but worked as a mechanic i think.
      I was like, tf? The girl was kinda femme, the one "looking like a man" was the girl who said those things in the bathrrom in 1st place, so idk why she said that a girl just for working in mechanics was a dude and said such rude homophobic words to her persona!! Plus the buch girl acted as those homophobic sexist straight 60 yo men, but only in this case, she owned a V and tattoos. Wow
      By just seein the butch girl enter, made me see the toxicity from far, lmfao.
      the worst is that this girl acted victimist when someone else said bad things to her. Like ma'am, first work on yourself and thennnn! U ask for rights. Like u cant be expecting people to be nice if you are hateful yourself. Having gay card doesnt give u a vip entrance to the community. But the actions you do does.

    I'm a bisexual woman. The fetishization of sapphic relationships and bisexuality has always upset me greatly, and impacted my relationships. My first boyfriend was obsessed with the idea of a threesome the moment he found out I'm bi. It made me feel like nothing more than an object that he could project his fantasies upon. It's so damaging and for a long time it made me view myself and my own sexuality as something tainted and gross, something that men can take advantage of. I've never had sex with a woman (I've always been super bad at picking up signals and I have ZERO rizz), and that's always made me feel "invalid" somehow, as if I'm "not a real bisexual". I've been asked multiple times if I really like girls or if I'm just saying that because men think its hot (not in that exact wording but that's the implication and general gist of it).
    I hate the way Tara's video made me feel. I hate the way most lesbian porn makes me feel. I hate the idea of her making out with her friends for her partner's creepy fantasies. I hate that she is profiting off this exact kind of fetishization. It's part of why people are biphobic, because it reinforces harmful stereotypes and sexualises bisexual people. What she's doing is so harmful and gross, and that's not even mentioning the fact that she absolutely abused that bird.

I mean, enjoy yourself, you do you, but don't complain about it to rub it in our faces... I don't know but it frustrates me. And also, I have a parrot. It's okay to not know everything about the pet, but when you KNOW you make it arouse, why do you continue? Not just is it perverted, but it's mean as well and especially with birds that live alone with humans and cannot do anything with the arousal. It's just mean to them. And of course, disgusting however you look at it. This woman seems to have very little self-awareness.

      Also as a queer woman, I think Tara can just enjoy sex with women, but it disgusts me that she contributes to the problem that men fetishize us. Women in a relationship and women having sex are not made for men. I hate the wording of hers when describing her relationships with women in this way! It just enables how men fetishize gay and bi women like our love and sexual relationships are made for them.

    I REALLY appreciate you mentioning how heteroromantic bisexual people exist and are valid!! (Plus variations like homoromantic bisexual) I’m not one myself but I am bi and while I have a bit of a preference towards femme folks romantically, I have a HEAVY preference for femme folks “sexually”. (I put sexually in quotes because I’m on the ace spectrum lol) and it can feel really invalidating because people feel like you’re being intolerant or something when I literally just… don’t have those feelings. So I really appreciate you bringing that up!
    By the way, don’t get me misconstrued: I do NOT think Tara is heteroromantic bisexual, or if she is then she is still queerphobic. The way she explained things was extremely intolerant and fetishistic in nature, no matter what her sexuality is.

      I'm bi myself and ngl, i feel a little icky about the whole heteroromantic bisexual thing, especially when it comes to girls identifying this way. (Btw, I'm referring strictly to people who are NOT on the aroace spectrum in any shape or form) Cause they usually fall into 2 categories: girls who engage sexually with other girls mainly for male attention and because it's seen as "cool and hot", and girls who have internalized homophobia and are not ready to accept that they're sapphic. My point is, in both cases the label is just used as an excuse. I think it requires a lot of self reflection for a person to come to the conclusion that yes, they're fully capable of feeling both sexual and romantic attraction, but they lack the romantic attraction towards women. Imo, most people lack that and it's simpler for them to declare "i think i could kiss a girl but never date one" . I also want to point that i've never seen a cis guy who identifies this way, and i tend to believe it's because it's not seen as cool for a straight guy to kiss other guys at parties, but it is if girls do it, because of fetishization

    I had one interview I was ecstatic for. I had done my unpaid college internship at a place similar to this and I had experience with the computer program they used. Literally 100% qualified.... Job went to someone who was already in the district and had absolutely zero experience with said program. That broke me, istg. How are you supposed to try anymore when a job you hit 100% qualifications for doesn't want you? I ended up getting hired by a small business.

      It's like she forgets that shift work, sick days, and days off exist. Or they could also be social media types, maybe people who stream for hours each night, or whatever.All are reasons someone might still be in bed at 2pm. You'd think that as someone who is a self employed social media person she would realise that there are all kinds of work options for people.
      Sure, there are some who "don't want to work" but most of them are doing other things in the afternoon. It's more likely, I guess you see people doing that who have "rich parents" paying for their lifestyle, who have been partying all night.
      I'm curious about when that was recorded, too, is it recent or was it during quarantine?
      Of course, the other possibility is that the minute the alert comes in for the phot people are jumping into bed to make it look like they have a lifestyle they don't.
      It just annoys me, I guess, because I recently had a similar conversation with someone who said 'people don't want to work hard anymore'...all the young people I know work exceptionally hard, they work long hours and take whatever overtime or extra opportunities to earn more
      Whereas, I think the thing that many of the problematic social media influencers forget...they're rich because of their fans. That money either came directly from fans paying subscriptions and donations, or indirectly through watching ads on YT or buying from the sponsorship links they post. And while donating money to someone doesn't give you a right to dictate what they do with that money, it does give them a right to be upset if you behave badly
      or if they donated thinking you were struggling to pay rent but then you spend stupid money on something unnecessary (not talking specifically about Tara there, idk her situation). So if people decide they don't like how you're behaving now & are not going to support you anymore, that's their perogative.
      So, those same influencers need to remember...alienate your fans and the money goes away.
      Which means: know when to stop digging! I guess it should be no surprise when people with that kind of ego (outright narcissism in some cases) lack the self-awareness to realise and accept when they are in the wrong. They'd rather go on a press/podcast tour & cry over "being canceled" (honey if you were canceled you'd have no one to listen to you whinging about it) than take ownership of their bad behaviour and apologise for it.
