I loved the live stream last night. Your completly right on the hornby 66, they are entry level but as you showed they can be 'upgraded' to look even better.
I bought one of these and never really used it because I thought it was cheap and nasty in the way that the steps didn’t line up with the cab doors ,not realising it was my mistake .You have inspired , me I put a sound chip into it and weathered the loco it looks quite good on the layout against a Bachmann 66 now. Thank for putting up this video.
I am glad to know that the snowploughs falling off is a common fault and not an issue with my one. Has been loose since I purchased brand new. Will have to glue it on, although dislike having to glue things on. Not another option, considering it’s a common problem.
People complain about the price of locos but when a manufacturer brings a low price version out, they complain it hasnt got the detail, hasnt got lights or hasnt got the pulling power. No pleasing some.
Gonads1259 Price wise I believe it's a good deal... £67 for a brand new loco from Hattons which looks the part and is relatively user friendly isn't bad. And if you feel there is a lot to be desired... The market is going to be populated with 66s in all the liveries soon with Bachmann and Hattons out there.
The Hornby 66 perfectly fills the space in the market for the “I don’t need or want all that extra detail, why should I have to pay for it” market. They get a good looking loco at a great price and will be as happy as a pig in the proverbial!
I got one in DB livery key workers and to be honest at the price i paid £60 new, i was pleased and im at an age where this would have been super detail back in the day? Yes its light and yes its not going to shift a shed, no pun intended! But this locomotive is more likely to be on a younger enthusiasts train set? Pulling six wagons etc. The hattons version was a major let down falling to bits out the box as does other hyped up models from accurascale. So this old model is a lot of loco for the money?
Gets what you pay for. I got an old hornby. Runs a dream. I’ve got a Bachmann and it’s a pig to run over anything but dead flat track and points. And It doesn’t run over Bachmann points which is strange So for me it’s a winner good video
Just re-watched your video after actually getting a Hornby 66 - yes it was 66731 - as I actually have more interest in HO. I've put in a TTS and fully agree its a great value package. Amazing how well it runs under DCC as with my Duette it was a bit of a greyhound! Reading through some of the comments last year, many viewers mentioned that they were going to wait for the Hattons 66. I hope they got a good runner! Your comment at the end of the video that you don't open the detail packs and fit the parts was a bit of a surprise. All my locos, once tested and chipped, get the bits added and the box modified so as not to inflict damage when putting it back in. Thanks for the effort you put into your films.
Living near Hornby visitor centre I've had a close look at this "new" range of class 66's. Although they have been painted the moulding is the old Lima body driving without lights and struggle to pull a decent train. The bachmann option is well worth the extra pennies for the quality. Nice meeting you at Ali-Pali Sunday. 😉
Got two of these sheds, one in the Ocean Network Express pink livery and the other in my personal favourite BR Large logo blue. Decent models they are, but I can definitely agree about the weight, could probably add some lead in them.
Hi there !!although I am more into Kettles , I have to agree some comments on here. If Hornby can use older tooling to create locomotives and rolling stock to appeal to people who want to start a layout , buy for children or just are not into fine detail models then good for them . It also helps everybody as the recent reductions on existing 66 prices following Hornbys additions have shown. Growing up in the 70s I remember that the standard type of detail did for most of us with the more serious scratch building , Its only in recent times that the fine detail locos have come on the scene. For the future of modelling the young have to be encouraged and the parents of the young should be able to purchase items without needing a second mortgage to get them .Otherwise this hobby will become more and more specialised . If Hornby goes under, competition gets less and prices will only go one way , UP!!
Hi these are a very nice loco i do think hornby have got it right with these ones they look very nice and they are priced right too i am collecting these locos for my layout very nice review thanks ..Kevin..
brilliant review ! looks a great model to me...i'd weather it, and pop a driver in..and as you've shown its very easy to put the tts in !!...your Under Close Inspections are the best reviews now on youtube....great stuff cheers, dave.
I bought two Hornby 66s.. junk! One trips on points (the other doesn't) and shorts it all out and both struggle on 3rd radius curves at low speed. They're fine on straight track but anything with a curve is asking for trouble. One is also visibly slower than the other.
Great informative impartial video. Great range of coloured liveries, just what’s needed in the industry, Seems a great model for the price, and your comment, you can’t see all the details when running around the layout, sums it up well. Nice installation of TTS, although if you got big clumsy hands like me, recommend the use of guitar plectrums (about £1 for 6), to ease body apart. Like the running tests, what they like for slow actions, coupling and uncoupling ? x The Bigfella x
New junction I saw a nova 2 or 3 train in leeds by t p express i could not tell what no be class it is but at the back there where class 68 pushing i even saw two to express coaches i thought to let you know I was so excited when I saw it heading to cross gates i was walking to a sea with my mum when I saw train this was the first experience i have ever seen in my life / from night buses 56 / hope you keep make lovely vids new junction
Hi Richard and thanks for a very well considered and presented review. I think that this loco might be the start of the return of Hornby as a credible competitor again. There will be a market for these and if the quality is better than some of the offerings that have come from them in recent years we should all be happy. I say all this not as someone who would be in the market for locos at this price point but more as someone who wants the cost of a loco to truly reflect its quality and position in the market. For example, the Bachmann 66 is a good buy at £120 but has been overpriced at £160 for some time. And finally welcome back Simon Kohler. Hornby have certainly missed you! ...................John
Hi Richard, found your channel through Charlie at Chadwick. Interesting video on the class 66, a favorite of mine. I have one from Hornby labelled "Chinook", road number 66723. As you mention, a bit light for such a large unit, and mine has both traction tires on one side only. I was only able to add a headlight at the top of the cab, no space below the cab windows to add the red and white lamps. If the frame is cut a bit then maybe 0402 LEDs can be used. - Mike
I must say these do get a lot of stick even though they lack on details etc, given the recent issues with the Hattons falling apart and fragile parts id rather have one of these. What I did was add weights to it put stick on ones inside the roof
This loco is way outside my era of operation, so I won't be getting one, however I am delighted to see Hornby finally giving modelers a chance to own locos without having to pay through the nose for them. Prices have been getting mad of late. I can see that yes this is basic, Railroad type but looks like a 66 to me. Regarding adding weight, yes a little maybe but I have found the bridge of the motor bogie mount quite fragile (class 31) so don't add too much. Those wagons of yours must have a lot of drag, I wonder if some special lube on the axles might help? Great video and nice to see them all together.
@New Junction, Great Video, thinking of getting the Freightliner version of this from the 2020 range! Also, 11:44, is that Austin Powers’ Car in the parking lot of the Big Burger?! 🤣
Hi Richard, Nice livery selection that Hornby have released the class 66 in, I have to say. I will be interested to see how much better if any at all the Hatton’s class 66’s will be over the Bachmann class 66’s, hope to see a review between both manufacturers and what is different or better of the two Hatton’s or Bachmann. As always, you have done a great review of the Hornby class 66’s. 👍Thumbs Up 👍
I brought 2 class 66 and only paid £39 for them (I brought them online and they, not the Hornby version) and they where brand new and I picked up a limited edition sound 66 for £150 - wow prices much have shot up last few years
Well modelling in N and just acquired my first sound fitted model (Dapol68) which I got for a knockdown price on line, I’m now beginning to ask myself why? What Hornby have done is great 👍 a model you can work on to make look fantastic with a few basic weathering skills & sound fitted as well for the price......I’m seriously thinking as I have to now move my layout into the loft, ditching N completely. Great vid as ever. Cheers (now deep in thought)🙄
I’ve had the class 66 EWS. 66005 to be precise. I have been running it on my layout for about a month, time wise, not running time. And now the motor has burned out. I sent it back to Hornby to see what they do. Does anyone know how it happened?
richard just out of curiosity d0 you run traction tyres to the front or to the rear what would be your preference as no one ever says this way or that way great video mate
Glad you mentioned traction tyres....yes been around for ages but in time become a pain, so will not be buying one. Found installing TTS sound very useful. Thanks for posting....
Nice video,i have had one of these for two years,i hardly use it and thought id give it a little service today,as during running it started making strange noises and smelt a bit,so i thought i would take it apart and have a look at the motor..or that is what i thought i would do but i cant get at the motor!? any ideas as so far i havent seen one video on how to service the motor on these models :(
Hi Richard, a good model for the price point it is aimed at, still using the ex Lima body casting I take it. Would be interesting to know if anyone has added some weight to one and also if that improved haulage. Does the Evening star come with the bell? Regards Bobby 'T'
I'll answer Richard ,you can add weight it does improve haulidge ,and the standard Bachmann 66 Evening Star does not come with bell s and brackets The limited Nrm version does come with bells but they are hopelessly over scale ,so don't bother with them ,hope that's useful cheers Nick.
Your review is very concise everything explained perfectly Richard ,think I will stick to the Bachmann version as I have rather a lot ,and suppose I'm used to those by now .Thanks for terrific review ,we are all the wiser for it .Did acquire the RHTT weathered Sandite set today same as yours ,truly magnificent in every department ,and I think the weathering is perfect too .Is the sound file really of a 66? As it sounds to me a little 67ish !There is a difference between the two .I hear the 66slmost every day and am more than wisecto the sound and running of them .Great review cheers Nick.
great vid and saved me some money as well, wanted to buy 2 off hattons beginning of the week but they are out of stock on 4 liveries including 66789/66413 (2 I wanted) but was not aware they had traction tyres, not interested more trouble than there worth glad I didn't go elsewhere for them.
Morning Richard just wondering if Tony's train shop is open today as i saw he is attending the great electric train show. I'm over that direction so thought i would call in. Ooh and what is the parking like there cheers mate
Question time please I'm new to dcc I watched you put the speaker in which was great. The question is atrain is dcc ready you need to buy a decoder to run it if you want sound does that have the dcc decoder that drives the locomotive in with it. I haven't fitted any yet but have just bought a dcc system cheers steve
hi, those are Bachmann scenecraft models. I have them on my Dean Park layout, after seeing them on this channel too ;-) They are not currently in the Bachmann range, but keep checking ebay. They are always popping up for sale. Hope that helps. Dave
For me its just the lack of detail and u can get second hand backmann ones in good condition and the difference between them is ablot with the lack of lights and overall detail, it would be sightly different if there was different light tooling, but for the beginner its good, the decoder on the other hand will be very useful as tts decoders r better and better these days that will be used in my bachmann one and im hoping the beeping is present at the startup and hopefully it was just cut out on editing
While I agree with all the other comments, it is a disappointment that they couldn't put some directional lights in there. Circuit boards and led are dirt cheap, and I'm sure an extra fiver on the price would have covered it and not be noticeable in the pricing, seeing that the Bachmann equivalents, for all their accessories, etc are going for 150+!
Once their all weathered I don't think You'er going to notice, I don't think you can argue about the price! But I believe it upset a major ? I don't know who just that the company believe that Hornby have stolen their market
Yep look good . But they have used the same body in all. Aren’t some of these liveries only seen on the low emission variants ? Could do with knowing which ones are correct . I’m not a great 66 fan but I’ve gone into the current scene mainly because of Dapols 68s which are terrific , so I may go for one of these for a bit of a change . Got a Lima Green Freightliner one already thinking a GBRf one might be nice
Thing to note is that Hornby haven't modified the lima body tooling in any way since they bought the rights to remake the model, lima only made the 66/0, 66/5 and early 66/7 series models but they weren't without their faults. In the vid... Ews, dbs, biffa, large logo and gbrf Union Jack jubilee models are largely correct in terms of light clusters, cluster positioning, grille sizes etc but all are wrong in some ways... Bogies and fuel tanks are wrong lengths for original ews 66/0, freightliner 66/5 (not modelled here) and first batch 66/7 machines ( biffa & large logo are ex ews machines renumbered into gbrf 's 7 series after they bought them). The remaining 66/4 & 7 models are wrong in so many ways, lights clusters, cluster positions, tank sizes for both normal 4 series and low emissions 4 & 7 series variants (latter had small fuel tank and a fifth body door)... Grille length and height, roof fan grille and hood sizes. The 66/4 had big/bug eye lights Most of the 66/7 & 9 had original & revised style standard wipacs, with a few of the 4 style lights but these are to be fased out in the real world.... hornby only model the original wipacs as that is how lima made them before them. I have superdetailed a few of these, it involves new correct length bogies, tanks, grills, doors etc etc etc, costs a fair bit but.... They are slightly better imo when done as the Bachmann model is overly wide to my eye. They can make nice models when done and if you add weight, they'll pull more than the Bachmann model! I'm so glad that Hornby have brought these out, unfortunately i won't be able to afford the new Hattons models but i much prefer to modify my models to make them more accurate (i'm a rivet counter) - i get more enjoyment by doing that rather than just buying off the shelf almost perfect representations, so very pleased overall!
M E Thank you . That’s very. Informative and exactly what I was looking for . I knew the bodysides would not be correct for some locos, and I knew the headlights would be wrong , but I was unaware of the other differences , especially fuel tanks .
The liveries look good but if the body moulding doesn’t apply to that livery then why bother. They might not have working light but the light clusters are mostly wrong, the later body and exhaust features have not been used. I am not a rivet counter but do require the correct basic features.
Utterly agree ,for me it's essential that light cluster ,side cab windows, two and three piece, and the low emition variants have a fifth side door too . So have only bought the early 66/0 examples ie Ews so correct lights three piece cab side windows and no fifth side door ,all that said I can except them, oh and the larger fuel tank too .So have purchased GB 66789 Br blue, large logo Biffa GB 66783and the earlier varient Gbrf 66705 these being visually more correct .Good point made ,glad have got it off my chest ha ha.Cheers Nick Oh have subbed you .
Quite a lot of obvious flaws (lamp bracket positioning, lights, lack of shipping tethers) but probably worth it for that price. Then again I do like my sheds so I would complain about those!
You pays your money and you makes your choice, ex Lima, nice in it's day, entry level but should be 'railroad', the Lima motor was better too, it is after all a 'toy train'. I agree you could go to the effort to upgrade the lights, the details and to some extent, the performance. But take your effort into consideration and the costs of the 'add-on' parts, then the £75.00 retail plus your 'hourly rate' for time taken to fit and the cost of the bits and pieces needed, then the costs start to compare, Me/ I'll weight (!) for the Hattons, plus carry on with my six Bachmann beasties.
totally agree. for most modellers this will do them just nicely. Not perhaps for the Dean Park layout, as its out of my era, but at £75...cant complain these days.
Its a great looking model and a great price fot entry level modelers i think the mistake Hornby made was not releasing it under the railroad brand as that would make it clearer to everyone that the Hornby model wasn't released just to steal customers from hattons who have a far superior model.
They look as good as the real thing. Personally the DB, freightliner , GB and colas look great. The ews ,413, 779 and the ex ews now GB look awful just like the real ones
Hornby never had much to do with the Irish scene, and has never had any reason to, they made a few crap reliveries, not that Bachmann did much better, with the two kettles they reliveried, but they atleast had the baby GMs and Lima had the 201s. The market isn't that large, Hornby is a UK company, and their consumer base is there, with demand being for UK loco's with little outside of Ireland for Irish ones. But really it's Murphy Models and more recently Irish Railway Models for decent ready to runs.
Disappointing, couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding! What’s the point in releasing a 66 that can’t pull a decent rake? I get the fact that more people can afford them but surely they should still have the traction to perform as the original? Old Lima body as well etc...as we say here in Oz...were not fancy but were cheap!😎🇦🇺👍Thanks for the review...very informative!
Tony's trains is a brilliant shop I live in rugby and this is my go to shop for all my model railway stuff
I loved the live stream last night.
Your completly right on the hornby 66, they are entry level but as you showed they can be 'upgraded' to look even better.
Exactly, can be made into a really smart model
I bought one of these and never really used it because I thought it was cheap and nasty in the way that the steps didn’t line up with the cab doors ,not realising it was my mistake .You have inspired , me I put a sound chip into it and weathered the loco it looks quite good on the layout against a Bachmann 66 now. Great Video Richard, excellent loco for the money, I like the Evening Star 66
Good choice!

Wether its Hornby or real life. The class 66 no matter its colour, condition or livery, they have always been my favourite engine
Great, they're addictive that's for sure!
An excellent add on to your live stream showing the livery application close up has convinced me.
The live streams are fun but video quality lacks sadly
Enjoyed it very much.Great video.
I would buy one, but they haven’t done the best livery of them all- green Freightliner
I was surprised they didn't.
Nah colas rails the best
Ah just put a lima body on it... Straight fit as it is an ex lima model!
@@Synthematix Agreed!
That's because they produced FLclass 66504in the powerhaul livery a couple of years ago with dbs 66185 and 66079Ews same boxing same ddc ready loco.
Living near Hornby visitor centre I've had a close look at this "new" range of class 66's. Although they have been painted the moulding is the old Lima body driving without lights and struggle to pull a decent train. The bachmann option is well worth the extra pennies for the quality. Likewise David, see you soon!
Got two of these sheds, one in the Ocean Network Express pink livery and the other in my personal favourite BR Large logo blue.
Decent models they are, but I can definitely agree about the weight, could probably add some lead in them.
The killer for the competitors is the hornby sound chip
Yes although it could be improved
The Hornby sound chip can easily be fitted to a Bachmann 66 - which is capable of hauling a decent load.

It's very nice

I love the look of the evening star 66. Amazing vid. Always look forward to you vids.
Great video and lovely to see the locos in a bit more detail after last nights live stream. Keep up the fab work.
Thanks!

Thank for this, good overview of the model, certainly for the budget and younger modellers, but I'll be waiting for the Hattons version.

Hi Richard and thanks for a very well considered and presented review.

Thanks Mike, sounds like a plan
Great video, I got the yellow one and a tts decoder. At the price I have no complaints at all. I might well go for Evening Star as well.
Very nice livery
I must say these do get a lot of stick even though they lack on details etc, given the recent issues with the Hattons falling apart and fragile parts id rather have one of these. What I did was add weights to it put stick on ones inside the roof
Good , balanced review, thanks.
Hopefully, thanks for the comment
The more I see these, the more I want one or two, adding sound for an extra £40 is good too
You cant go wrong
Brilliant video Richard! The livery’s do look nice! Although after seeing Hattons examples, they are just left in the shadow!
I think you may be right
This loco is way outside my era of operation, so I won't be getting one, however I am delighted to see Hornby finally giving modelers a chance to own locos without having to pay through the nose for them. You'd think, they run and roll fine normally
Excellent review Richard. I personally prefer the Bachmann and Hattons ones but the Hornby 66s make a suitable edition for a beginner modeller.
Exactly :-)
Great video Richard! Great model for the price. By the way Hornby have done a 66 for a while, just not as many liveries. It's the ex-Lima tooling.
Yes, there Lima model has been around since 1999
Great video definitely worth the money
Exactly :-D
@New Junction, Great Video, thinking of getting the Freightliner version of this from the 2020 range! Also, 11:44, is that Austin Powers’ Car in the parking lot of the Big Burger?! 🤣

It's a tough decision, my first layout was N
mmmmmm, I’m off up the loft!😀
Wow! New to your channel, and what a superb channel it is! Definitely subscribing :)
Thanks, welcome aboard
Nice Locomotiv Class 66 And 77 😊
Nice to see some prices coming down even if the model is fairly basic. Cheers Greg
Thanks Greg
Awesome video you just earned another subscriber!
Great to have you on board!
Wow. That’s a lot of sheds.
I own the GBRf Biffa livery Hornby Class 66, named as ‘The Flying Dustman’.
Thanks for commenting
Nice video,i have had one of these for two years,i hardly use it and thought id give it a little service today,as during running it started making strange noises and smelt a bit,so i thought i would take it apart and have a look at the motor..or that is what i thought i would do but i cant get at the motor!? any ideas as so far i havent seen one video on how to service the motor on these models :(
So if money wasn’t an issue which manufacturer makes the best 66 ? Great video too 👍🏻
Hattons
I did chuckle....'this model is rather plastic' lol. Diplomatically put. Is there any metal on the chassis? :-) Great stuff Richard. Dave
The Chip has metal wire? Lol
Hi Richard, a good model for the price point it is aimed at, still using the ex Lima body casting I take it. Would be interesting to know if anyone has added some weight to one and also if that improved haulage. Does the Evening star come with the bell? Regards Bobby 'T'
Someone will surely add weight and re-reveiw it. No bell on the Evening star sadly
Good livery selection but surely a modern loco must have lights these days.
If it was a new tool there probably would be lights but it's ex Lima tooling (with modified motor and wiring).
The trade off for being 'affordable'
New Junction I respect hornby and mr Kohler for doing so
Your review is very concise everything explained perfectly Richard ,think I will stick to the Bachmann version as I have rather a lot ,and suppose I'm used to those by now .Thanks for terrific review ,we are all the wiser for it .Did acquire the RHTT weathered Sandite set today same as yours ,truly magnificent in every department ,and I think the weathering is perfect too .Is the sound file really of a 66? As it sounds to me a little 67ish !There is a difference between the two .I hear the 66slmost every day and am more than wisecto the sound and running of them .Great review cheers Nick.
Its definitely a 66, thanks for the feedback
@@NewJunction A pleasure.
Are you going to use any of the 66s to haul the rhtt train if you are which ones
Eventually I think I'll go for two Green freight liners
great vid and saved me some money as well, wanted to buy 2 off hattons beginning of the week but they are out of stock on 4 liveries including 66789/66413 (2 I wanted) but was not aware they had traction tyres, not interested more trouble than there worth glad I didn't go elsewhere for them.
A lot of people have said the same.
The BR large logo dont look right on a class 66, but the new orange Freightliner livery looks great though
Morning Richard just wondering if Tony's train shop is open today as i saw he is attending the great electric train show. I'm over that direction so thought i would call in. Ooh and what is the parking like there cheers mate
Should be 👍🏻
R u helping him set up?
Question time please I'm new to dcc I watched you put the speaker in which was great. The question is atrain is dcc ready you need to buy a decoder to run it if you want sound does that have the dcc decoder that drives the locomotive in with it. I haven't fitted any yet but have just bought a dcc system cheers steve
Yes a TTS sound decoder also comes attached to the chip required to run the loco.
Thanks
Look at the worker at the boxes taking a nap
Story of their lives lol
First view and like ! And great vid mate! My 66 runs fantastic the one I bought of Tony’s trains at ally pally!
Great stuff!
looks like a reissue of the old lima model with new livery's
It is :)
Hi great vid, those houses that are under construction who makes them, thanks
hi, those are Bachmann scenecraft models. I have them on my Dean Park layout, after seeing them on this channel too ;-) They are not currently in the Bachmann range, but keep checking ebay. They are always popping up for sale. Hope that helps. Dave
Where are you based? Tony's trains is my local too
Leicestershire
If I were to run a sound fitted locomotive, would I need a certain controller plus anything else?
A DCC controller will do, I use a hornby select
My favourite is the br large logo
Good choice!
It's great but my favourite is Biffa 66783.
I didn't notice it but that could have been me
@@NewJunction to be honest it will just be the difference between someone having a keen eye
Would a class 47 pull 4 or 5 container wagons ?
It would go it easy
Yep
Thanks guys
While I agree with all the other comments, it is a disappointment that they couldn't put some directional lights in there. Circuit boards and led are dirt cheap, and I'm sure an extra fiver on the price would have covered it and not be noticeable in the pricing, seeing that the Bachmann equivalents, for all their accessories, etc are going for 150+!
Labour saving is key to keeping them cheap I'd guess
What are the chips as I use Zimo sound chips
If you upgrade the speaker to a better one then it will sound even better.
I have 4 of these with sound good 4 price and just got another one on ebay
Typical of railway workers lying down on the job! 😂 really nice vid 👍
I try to mimic reality lol
Where did you get your sign from
Totem maker at the Warley model railway show
There 10 class 66 in my catalogue
Once their all weathered I don't think You'er going to notice, I don't think you can argue about the price! But I believe it upset a major ? I don't know who just that the company believe that Hornby have stolen their market
Oh yes its caused a big drama behind the scenes.
BTW it was Hattons, who had upset Bachmann over producing a 66...
Sadly I'm not an expert so couldn't tell you which are incorrect
Thing to note is that Hornby haven't modified the lima body tooling in any way since they bought the rights to remake the model, lima only made the 66/0, 66/5 and early 66/7 series models but they weren't without their faults.
In the vid... Ews, dbs, biffa, large logo and gbrf Union Jack jubilee models are largely correct in terms of light clusters, cluster positioning, grille sizes etc but all are wrong in some ways... Bogies and fuel tanks are wrong lengths for original ews 66/0, freightliner 66/5 (not modelled here) and first batch 66/7 machines
( biffa & large logo are ex ews machines renumbered into gbrf 's 7 series after they bought them).
The 66/4 had big/bug eye lights
Most of the 66/7 & 9 had original & revised style standard wipacs, with a few of the 4 style lights but these are to be fased out in the real world.... hornby only model the original wipacs as that is how lima made them before them.
@@russellbenton2987 your welcome, no worries.
Some nice “Sheds”
Like a good allotment lol
😂
Get what you pay for. It's definitely not a rival to Bachmanns class 66 but the cheaper price will have appeal.
they should be £55 railroad loco's not in the railways range considering its the old lima tooling
Why did you say that the Colas Rail Freight will be Popular
Quite a lot of obvious flaws (lamp bracket positioning, lights, lack of shipping tethers) but probably worth it for that price.
Then again I do like my sheds so I would complain about those!
Did Hornby lend you all those 66s
Indirectly yes :-)
This not the first one they have come in early and under cut they have done it the terrier against rails of Sheffield
Hopefully a continuing trend
I've never seen a starter loco that couldn't at least manage a hole in the shell and a light behind it. What a joke.
Very annoying however easily fixed
They look as good as the real thing. Personally the DB, freightliner , GB and colas look great. The ews ,413, 779 and the ex ews now GB look awful just like the real ones
Nice
All the lights are the same, 66779 looks weird with the old headlights, the only 66s in the new liveries are in the newer headlights.
RICHARD!!! How yall doing
Hello pal! Plodding on as ever
This looks a lot like a lima chassis
I have a dB schienker
Hornby neglected the Irish scene especially in regards to steam,it was a market that could have been explored.
Thanks Stephen!
