    багато гвинтів та заклепок,
    щоб надати виробу старовинного
    вигляду.

    • @GavinClarkdiy
      @GavinClarkdiy  Год назад +1

Nice! Another cool effect is to simulate rivets by using carriage bolts. Round head out of course but cut off from behind and welded in. At the plant I worked at they had boxes of the things that weren't used. It became a mark of mine whenever I built anything. I got pretty good at piling up the weld so it simulated the other "peened" end.
    It's fun being creative.

Thank you very much, Welcome to the channel, l like your idea with the carriage bolts, and the peened end weld, that sounds cool. The bolts I have seen around here have a very low dome on them and would not look great, I have made a few at different times to get the look I like (link at the end) I cut and weld these or just put nuts on them if they will not be seen. I appreciate your comment, and love ideas like this, Thank you, Cheers ruclips.net/video/zcNVwikV9WE/видео.html

@@GavinClarkdiy I restore 40, series Landcruisers and the members of the chassis are always riveted with those mushroom head hot rivets. Guess what.. I had to order rivets (!) from the US as in Australia most fastening shops didn't even understand what I was looking for. Hot riveting is the queen of fastening metals is a beauty when its done properly, also it has so much engineering behind.
