Never get tired of your videos, true craftsmen are rarely appreciated these days.
1:10 I love that click - it screams "perfection"!
Say, maestro, it's a fine thing to be able to file perfectly to a line, but to make the hole square, that's the kind of thing that they teach a Swiss toolmaker apprentice!
On tosi hyvää!
Your hand filing is amazing bro
The footage still manages to convey how finicky the whole process is and how much pitfalls are avoided and by what skill.
Like how the drill arbor barely clears the head holding the shaft when drilling the hole.
Big respect for the superb photography and ambiance.
Владение надфилем бесподобно. Я чувствую себя полным рукожопом .
Tremendous craftsmanship as always,Chris👌 That was a really satisfying 'CLICK' as the gear seated onto the shaft shoulder.
A hundred and forty fourth! ;-P Love the file work, maintaining perpendicularity, squareness, flatness and finish for an LT3-4 fit...in pursuit of perfection. Inspiring! Outstanding Chris, Thanks!
That click at 1:09 was so satisfying
The work of a perfectionist. Such exacting work.
That sound.... Snick. Love it.
Best!
👍👌👏 again and as always!
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
How do you do such accurate 90 degree filing? Did you also scribe the back face?
How are the calculations for the missing pieces of the Mechanism going? Will a prototype be made for a possible extra set of gears and pointers?
Yes, more to come :)
Which research paper, I wonder@@ClickspringClips will you be using for the upper gear trains that sit upon B1? Will you continue as you planned with Tony Freeth's 2012 research paper? His 2021? Your own? Or a combination of both your own and that found in Freeth's 2021?
I mean, I'm all for a combination - we used the gear trains from Freeth's 2012 paper and the front rings from his 2021 paper.
Красиво.
How is it humanly possible to file a square/retangle with with perfect 90 degree flats when you only have markings on one side? That would be litterly impossible for me to do.
Chris why did not use the die filer? You did not have it yrt.
Oh, that 1/100th of mm accurate CNC file again. Where can i buy it, hands included?
Hi Chris. How long did it take from the first pass of the file to the last?
Hey Chris. Whats going on with the antikythera ? You havent posted an update in like 2 years on it? Or am i missing something??
First try fit... :)
