I know that it might not feed the artistic goals of this venture, but I want to see every kit in excruciating detail. Like I would sign up for patreon if you just dropped an album of all kits you've assembled. Cheers.
This was good Van, but I recommend Extreme Post-Its for the car kit. They're weatherproof and stick even better (made of a plastic-y paper like money, the adhesive holds on to anything). They can still be written on with pencil pen etc too. I kept one on the side of my messenger bag for several weeks as a durability test.
It simply cathartic to watch your video Van. I'm a programmer all day long on my computer but I'm also a men with a couple of abilities to do things on my house and backyard and each time I watch one of your video, I simply just one to go away of my computer and do some stuff with my hand and tools like you. You are a genius in every ways!
As a Landcruiser owner (well two land cruisers, 80 and 100), I would love to see your other kit. On a side note, don't feel the need to continue putting out two videos per week. Many RUclips channels have succeeded but continuing with quality of quantity. Don't burn your self out... Just the two cents of a random RUclips subscriber.
Every year I give my family themed gifts, usually for their cars since everyone drives and practicality is always welcomed. This coming Christmas, I’m using this video as a primer to create each family member their own center console kit. I’ll use really nice bags to upscale a little. Thanks for this. 😎👍🏼
I like your practical gift approach. I got eye rolls one year for giving my family good quality flashlights for their gloveboxes, but I'd bet they use that flashlight often! The gift that keeps giving! A tip for you since I have two kits in my car...the best kind of case opens by zipper around the perimeter...like a suitcase. No need to dump it all out on the car seat and risk losing an item between the seats. Simply select tool and put it all back, mine allows complete access (flip open lid) to any tool without dumping. Toiletry, makeup or "travel" cases sometimes come with this perimeter zipper design, and even some sturdier kids zipper lunch boxes work too.
@@canadude6401 great tip! Thx. Yeah same polite response with my family, but a year later they still comment on how they use the extendable, dual head snow removal/ice scrapers! Lol
Vet Tape. It can temporarily hold an arm in place if someone broke their collarbone and quick fix a KTM front light when you dump your bike. Just some of the things I’ve used it for.
Recently bought a 89 range Rover classic. You Inspired me, so keeping a track of all the expenses done on the car and now this tool kit. Tool kit for the baby.
Absolutely phenomenal choice to use a Klein zipper bag. I work in the trades and slowly overtime you find out about exceptional tools and products through work. But I truly appreciate you sharing your curated collection of some of the best “stuff.” The typewriter and it’s case, your pencil and how to modify it, Swiss Army knife, the list can go on and on. Thank you Van
Love these videos! My EDC: 1 Victorinox Champ, 1 Leatherman P4, 1 Microtech Ultratech Bounty Hunter Edition, 1 Olight Warrior mini 2, 1 Fischer Bullet Space Pen, 1 Brass Zippo with jet insert. Maxpedetion 48 Once Nalgene water bottle holder with 3 Maxpedetion pouches attached containing 3.5 pounds of gear to similar to your set up. Enough to repair most anything within reason 🤣
That is a fantastic idea actually. Many people like good ideas or concepts, but never take the time to BUILD kits like this. There is a company called "Justin Case" that makes several different roadside emergency kits. Van could carry a whole line of tool kits with all the items on this video.
if you head to home depot, they sell the Klein Bank Pouches Van uses , they sell it in white. You know what you have to do. Paint over the logo, and in precise detail, draw on the spirited man logo. All for $13 you can have your own spirited man kit! That said, if these were officially made from Van/SM, i'd go that route just to support him.
For the Post-It users, please try out the FULL STICK version--instead of just one strip with adhesive the full back is covered except a narrow stip at the bottom by which to lift them. Extremely useful for leaving notes but also as temporary tape. Also, I think every car kit needs a flashlight.
Good kit! I keep a mtb multi tool in kits also. And head lamps in every vehicle. Roll of E tape. Roll of paper towels. Non potable water(can drink in extreme emergency) some honey packets cause your brain needs some sugar if stranded. Zip ties. Self sealing silicone tape for a bonus. Wooden dowel rod under back seat cause why not. Extra socks and flip flops stashed. Tire plugs in every car/truck + hand pump for bonus
I like it. I've got a similar "track bike emergency" kit in my messenger bag with a 15mm wrench, hex keys, etc. Now it's gonna receive a pair of red Sharpies too
When I got my first car my dad bought me a JustIn case kit, I've used it countless of times. I also keep a clean pair of sweatpants, a tshirt, some boxers, and a jacket in my trunk for emergencies, nice in situations when you are drenched in rain water and just want some dry clothes.
van you are mainly helping your bro, mines broken rightnow! just wondered where you used clear tape, iguess i missed it,but stayed to theend.my brother is junkey, who knows stay tunned.
Can you please make a vid on your kit for a motorcycle. I live in Vietnam use my dirtbike everyday and would love to learn how to fix it better! Love your channel, brother.
After not finding the #2 Robertson bit in that cars tool kit. I now have put three in each car tool kit. Two in each of the boats kits. Not having the tool you expect to be there can really cock up your day. Thanks for the console kit idea!
Oh hey, for the string/cord, I use technora, stuff is amazing and for thinner thread type string, I use dyneema, both are super strong and resistant. Just a heads up if your unaware of them
If I can recommend one thing, it’s the Fiskars scissor sharpener. It takes nicks out of blades. I got mine at Staples many years ago, and I’ve sharpened and re-sharpened dozens of pairs of scissors, no wear on the sharpener.
This fulfilled man is fascinated with this spirited man's tool kit, every vessel needs a specific set of tools to cover a lot of repairs on the road. Awesome work Van!
Yes yes a million times yes! This video embodies the idea of the spirited man! Just the simple idea of a tool kit of the nessisary things in the center consol rather then just a loose assortment of junk!
At the beginning you where full of untouched magic, then we saw the magic fight with the business side and the crazy algorithm, then we got worried when you stopped uploading and now we feel you re-energized now that you found a way of making the magic work and making the work feel magic. Nice.
I discovered this channel because of the land cruiser video where you make the shrine for TLC. I’ve been hooked ever since. The videos relax me. Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee!
Man, great minds think alike. I have a multitool, a lighter, and triple A card in my glove box, I always have binder clips and 3M dual lock on hand, and I have never in my life regretted having tape or kevlar chord nearby, so it's always in my backpack. Might adopt the hot glue stick idea, too!
“If the car is newer than say 2005, you ain’t fixing it.” lol appreciate you telling me right off the bat that this video is not for me and can be skipped!
Try the duel lock reclosable clear. I like it better. It comes in rolls and is stiffer. We use it in restaurants to mount to stainless steel. Awesome content as always. Thank you sir!
I absolutely have this and the additional car tool kit, this one made me get on the Patreon. Van, please do a video on rags/towels/wipes etc.....i know you know what I'm talking about....my wife thinks any piece of rag will do for any job....oh no....dear God no, you must use the right rag for the job ha
Can i suggest metal cable-ties. Put some in my tool box few years ago, have never needed them yet, but can imagine they could hold hot engine parts or exhaust etc in a bind. Its funny wishing for the day your car break so that you get to use them
We used to play what's in Brandon's pocket . And someone will always why would you carry that around and before the end of the day that one thing would save the day
Great informative videos. The backing track is a little too intense for my liking though, tending to stir up feelings of suspense. The particular brand/type of clear tape is important, but the music suggests it is a life or death decision.
98% of that stuff would never be used in my car. I live in a northern climate, so a good car kit consists of a snow shovel & cat litter. So, you can dig your car out of the snow when it gets stuck, and the cat litter is for weighing down the back end for traction.

me too
Ditto
Van doesn't read RUclips comments, just patreon comments

I do this everywhere in my house. Post it packets are all over
I think if it's disposable, go biodegradable.
But why. I understand for making notes but the way you describe it makes me feel like they could be used as an adhesive patch of some sort?
It simply cathartic to watch your video Van. I would love to see a whole video breaking down your custom modifications to your land cruiser!
As a Landcruiser owner (well two land cruisers, 80 and 100), I would love to see your other kit.

I honestly don’t mind this shorter content. It also means he can reuse it for short form media platforms like insta reels and TikTok

A custom center console kit would be great on the merch page. Could come with its own 'Spirited Man' logo bag!
RT
Would love the tool pouch with the SM logo 👌

Yes! Emergency Present wrapping kit!
I too, have wrapped many a present, parked at the event!
Whoa. When a simple video about a simple idea changes your life. I'm making one today. Thanks, Spirited Man.

I love how the most replayed part is the part in the beginning where Van struggles to drive on his side of the road
some hand sanitizer would go a long way as well! all of your videos are like gold im loving watching them all
More kits please and thank you
I am surprised the spirited man doesn't sharpen his own shears. It's an easy skill to pick up and pays dividends.
I freaking love your kits. I recently bought a set of paint pens and have started labeling and dating stuff all over my life.
I like it. I've got a similar "track bike emergency" kit in my messenger bag with a 15mm wrench, hex keys, etc. Now it's gonna receive a pair of red Sharpies too

Well done, Van.
van you are mainly helping your bro, mines broken rightnow! just wondered where you used clear tape, iguess i missed it,but stayed to theend.my brother is junkey, who knows stay tunned.
You should tell us how to use each of the items you threw in that tool kit.
Reel of dental floss - can be used with needle for really tough sewing repairs (or used as dental floss) and cable ties / zip ties
Am I in heaven? These videos fill up my soul!

Should do a more in depth video on your BMW bike and the various mods you've done over the years. It's a discontinued but great model of bike.
No wrenches? No nut drivers? No jumper cables? No funnel? No flashlight?...
Add a wire coat hanger, useful for breaking into cars with the keys locked inside, making a temporary exhaust hanger, many other potential uses.
The cord or the tape or the thread can be on the lighter. That’s how I do it.
Great video as always.
Two vids in one week?! And both about tools? 🤤
Oh hey, for the string/cord, I use technora, stuff is amazing and for thinner thread type string, I use dyneema, both are super strong and resistant. Just a heads up if your unaware of them

I just realized your logo is the exact same as smith and Wesson
Awesome. Every kid should watch this too.

I don’t own a 4 x 4 but because you uploaded I watched and learned from it. :)
Spirited quickies, great for us ADD types... awesome Van !
I really like these short and sweet videos

Love these short vids, love the long ones too, but if you can produce more of these I will watch more..
We carry around a similat kit, our 'Oh-shit-kit', when we go camping. Life's much easier with kits like these on hand.
Glory to neistat, two dope tool videos in a day. 👍
Two videos ! Im spoiled 😂. Thank you Van !! 👏
Tool videos are the best videos
Cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹
Keep up the tool kit talk. I love it. I'd be more curious to understand the logic behind what makes a good tool kit.
Van you inspire me to make a center Consol kit my self. Please show more kits
Try the duel lock reclosable clear. I like it better. It comes in rolls and is stiffer. We use it in restaurants to mount to stainless steel. Awesome content as always. Thank you sir!
so trivial but no one talks about. thanks for the insight and I'll improve my car tool kit just today!
keep it up, you are uniquely enlightening (me)!
You continue to titillate good Sir. Thank you.
Love it. Have similar bag in all my cars. Probably not everything like you do so it is a good reminder for me to go in and add some stuff. Thank you.
amazing video! I was thrilled when you added the magnet.
wheel bearings - great comedic side bar Van. 🤣😂
Maaaaaaad scientist. That's what you are, Van.
I love every single video of yours.
I absolutely have this and the additional car tool kit, this one made me get on the Patreon. Van, please do a video on rags/towels/wipes etc.....i know you know what I'm talking about....my wife thinks any piece of rag will do for any job....oh no....dear God no, you must use the right rag for the job ha
also neosporin and some alcohol pads (maybe a role of gauze or an ace bandage) is a good to have for the mini first aid kit
Let’s see all the kits!!
You’re a mad scientist!!
you are the most interesting man alive.. not that fake guy from the beer commercials (seen over 50 vids now i bet, so i can say this)
Can i suggest metal cable-ties. Put some in my tool box few years ago, have never needed them yet, but can imagine they could hold hot engine parts or exhaust etc in a bind. Its funny wishing for the day your car break so that you get to use them
For newer cars, get a ODB2 bluetooth device. You'll know what's wrong with the engine before help arrives.
This is very interesting and useful definitely Will be doing this when I get my own car soon.
this is an updated and way better version of the "what's in your purse" youtube challenge
I wish Van showed a couple examples of fixes you can perform with the tools in the kit.
nice I need to work on a repair kit for my truck
Appreciate the thumbnail!
Love the EDC and kit videos!
Love this series
This is awesome! Keep it going Van, love the channel!
Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Alright man, good stuff 👍👌
We used to play what's in Brandon's pocket . And someone will always why would you carry that around and before the end of the day that one thing would save the day
Hey van! I would love to see more vehicle content!
The japanese .7mm pentel energel are some of the best pens ever made.
Try 2 part cyanoacrylate glue. Works dramatically better than hot glue for small precise repairs and is pretty strong, quite brittle though
Great informative videos. The backing track is a little too intense for my liking though, tending to stir up feelings of suspense. The particular brand/type of clear tape is important, but the music suggests it is a life or death decision.
youre on a roll
Love the videos Van. Keep it up!
Nice kit
Strangely soothing
Van, as amotorcycle rider, I'm pretty curious about your motorcycle toolkit. It would be great if you could share it to us!
What mic is that? Sounds good.
Would like to see your other kits, Van.

I like this video Van I don’t know exactly why?
For older cars all you need is a spool of steel wire and a pair of pliers :))
