I had to look up the Spirit of Dante, and when I did I found a great article about it in Smithsonian and learned a lot. Thanks for catching it for us! It was also nice to see Fort Madison again; I've missed it. And the night footage in Hesperia was cool!
I am glad to see Spirit of Dante on here! I saw it leading on that same I141 when it went through Newnan GA that day, and I told the Cordele camera operator to get ready for it. Possibly the last active YN2 spirit unit, given YN2b AC6000 601 (Spirit of Waycross) and several dash-8s are in storage.
'Spirit of Dante' was cool. Dante, VA is a great railroad town on the CSX former Clinchfield Railroad deep in the heart of coal country. Many photos of the iconic Union Baptist Church show heavy coal trains passing right in front of the entrance to the church. Dante featured a marshalling yard for coal trains deep in the Southern Appalachians.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, I like them, they're awesome, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and have a wonderful week.
That shot at Fairport, NY of the truck that just missed getting hit by the Amtrak train was interesting. The train was trying to stop but if that truck had not moved I think we would have seen the Amtrak engine hit the truck. Always make sure you can clear all tracks before you enter a crossing.
Would have been crazy if that warbonnet in Waycross was either leading, or back-to-back with a YN2! Wado (thank you) for including such an already-rare sighting!
I'm guessing the coal train in Chehalis, WA at 11:36 is approximately 2.5 miles long. It takes about 6 minutes for the train to pass by and guessing that it is traveling at about 25 mph, that puts it around 13,200 feet long. Wow!

Pretty sure you learned everything you know about driving from Mario Brothers and women. RULE NUMBER ONE...NEVER EVER ENTER A INTERSECTION OR CROSSING TILL IT IS CLEAR ENOUGH TO CROSS
06:47 - MOW vehicle's riding on the rails don't have the right of way and must stop at level crossings before they cross the road unless they trip the gates (some do) and wait for cross traffic
I just read a comment (6/14) on the Revy cam saying that a grizzly was sighted down by the river today--Revy Bear is probably giving it a wide berth, and for good reason!🐻
5:01 I figured Chattanooga would be one of their next stops, though I'm a bit surprised they didn't stop in Dalton. I shouldn't be though. I thought about stopping in Dalton coming home from Tennessee last year, but passed it up due to timing as I wanted to get to Cordele before dark.
8:21 ACL and Seaboard tribute liveries, back to back. Danny Harmon just hit the "like" button!
I love all the heritage units! The CN safety train has an awesome paint scheme! Thank you Virtual Railfan!

The drop-deck centerbeam at 10:22 is an amazing catch! Very few of those around!
I see them all the time on the CPKC Canadian Subdivision… almost always at least one on 228.

Excellent video and we thank you for that. 😊
So that’s what CN 3331 looks like… those two special units look amazing together!
This is the greatest way to rest and relax watching Virtual Railfan
Grab Bag videos have an awesome Thursday evening.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
Thanks for the Trains, VRF. I've not seen a Depressed Centrebeam before now. Nice evening sky at Revelstoke.
Nice to see those boys again on their Summer Tour!

The train had three lead locomotives, four mid-train DPU's, one tail DPU, and who knows how many coal cars?..... Now that's what I call a train!

Pretty sure the trucker was at the mercy of street traffic & a red light at the next intersection. Kudos to the Amtrak crew for braking when needed.
Basic driver training and instruction is you do NOT start across tracks until you KNOW you can clear.
@@kennethhanks6712El Correcto! 👍

Hi Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
8:40 It was the first time I saw a BNSF train pass here.
Well, that was mildly terrifying.
YES I MADE THE GRAB BAG!! My wife Zoë and I dancing in Revelstoke at 13:50
Get married✅
Get on VRF cam✅
5:15 Hope the truck driver has to face consequences for almost causing a wreck.
There was also the Missouri Pacific heritage unit at Kearny
Never mind, you got it.
Too bad about that centerbeam. Hope somebody can cheer it up

CN Wow.
1000th like
The AMTRAK at Fairport was too close for comfort. Hope the engineer got new underpants. He'll need them....
1:39 Wish they would've kept the old KCS scheme and just re-lettered them CPKCS.
So what does the rolling brick Do for NS?
You too are Fired.😢 lovely catch at Cordeal. Southern Boys favorite meet.
Sup
What was the special looking boxcar for on the CN business train?
Looked like it might have been taking the place of a baggage car.
@@TsalagiRailfan maybe the head end power car since the engines are most likely freight only
did the Reve and Sky bears move? it been a while

What was that articulated gondola at the end?
Herzog work train, carries ties, and cleans brush along the right of way
@@johnstafford4304 Thanks
The R+L trucker wanted to be far enough away and not have a broken gate or a smashed trailer on his record.
