As a cancer survivor myself, all I have to say to you is, think about this: You go through treatment. Complete remission! No recurring illness! Only damage to the cancer. That's how I see it going.

Sam is one of those guys who doesn't cry easily. About the only time we've seen it that I can think of is in the C1 finale. So it's even more of a gut-punch when he does.

I fully acknowledge how weird parasocial relationships can be but I have so much admiration and respect and affection for Sam.
