Singapore has decided to invoke a romanticized vision of the Samsui women even though they are all imported cheap labor - i.e Foreign Workers ...Before we start debating about demeaning an essentially extinct segment of society ... maybe Singaporeans want to spend some effort on respecting and highlighting the efforts of the current set of imported cheap laborers .... that we can see around us everyday without searching for a mural ...
