Big thanks to Jude for helping get tons of clips and proofing the edit, Del Pickle and SoupDawg for helping with the stacking test, ChaosReis for providing the Avarokk bake clip and Guardian7083 and JPmercier for helping with the Persys GL clip.
I've been quite under-the-weather this past week which is why you haven't seen me post, apologies for that, but now I'm back to full health, so expect the regular upload schedule to resume.
In today's video I explore Dragon's Breath's potency in group content, a side of it which I haven't seen discussed much as most videos tend to cover its merits in solo content. As Aegis put it in his video, Dragon's Breath is now unequivocally the best solo damage option in the game, period. Nothing comes close to it's ease of use and raw total damage, but while this may be all well and good, the same can't be said for a dungeon or raid setting where things like Bait and Switch GLs and pack hunter rockets play a role, which is what I explore in this video.

Dragons breath may be good, but Thunderlord was the first weapon ever to get 1 thunderillion damage on Greg and solo one phase Oryx
This bait was so good I genuinely clicked it. Im not sure if Im ready to forgive you but ill start the process. Thank you for this first step on our healing journey Llama
Everyone leaping to review this weapon before the catalyst in hand is the most Destiny thing ever
Gotta get that sweet, sweet content
Meh catalyst isn't to important along as u wait for 2 intentions which doesn't take that long
top 10 youtuber apologies (destiny edition)
There’s a donkey comment in the intro, apology accepted
get donkey'd lol. thanks for the correction, and for the new testing!
aegis theorized it'd be much worse in team settings, your numbers suggest it's sort of viable, but not meta. one of my raiding teams refuses to progress past thunderlord dps so I always have to carry without gjally. I now know that I can use dragon's breath rotations even if one other guy is using it, and sort of get decent numbers still.
thanks!
Top tier intro 💀
Unless the catalyst turns it into Thunderlord, miss me with Dragon's Breath
Solo players like me are happy with something like this weapon. Knowing bungie they’ll punish us once again.
nah I'm confident DB will stay this way
Donkey’d lol, I’m dying
Thank you for the follow up king, honoured to be featured at the start.
Donkey
1:57 I'm sure that this "I need glasses" editing effect is great but it is giving me a headache due to my visual hypersensitivity, would love to see this video without it! :D
I hate to tell you to retest, but I definitely think checking out staggered rotations is worth it. I.e 1 person will shoot fusion first or super or throw a grenade, then shoot, so the ignitions can happen quicker rather than being 2 at the same time not working.
Is gally still a good idea for 3 person content over 3 legendary rockets? I've seen some people claim it's now damage loss after the chunking fix
considering making a video on this!
Loved the intro 😂
What about with song of flame super tho
I love how it just auto reloads soo fast by its self
1 witherhoard per team soooo it still seams worth
Wonder if Envious/Surrounded Koraxis is the way to go if Surrounded is possible to activate... Mainly because I'm not touching pinnacle PvP content.
It works well, but its just more effort to activate than Bait and switch, so cataphract is still preferable for consistency.
Like @@liltilted_frank5038says. Less consistent but still a very good option, and really good for short damage phases.
If youre able to get it to 20+ in a single mag, before damage phase, it destroys.
i prefer to use Dragons breath with Supremacy Bait and Switch in long dmg phase bosses , just for a reason . At the end of first dmg phase i will still have more ammo then any of my teammates who use legendary rockets or GLs :) but just in long dmg phase like Warpriest or Planets in RON , for Golgh its worst , there linears still meta
Imo more difficult setups, should always be more rewarding in damage compared to more simple setups. Otherwise what is the point of finding new ways to deal that little more extra damage?
I love the dragons breath though, but the fact it is a weapon like anarchy and witherhoard for rocket launchers, it should not be dealing the damage of normal rocket launchers. As the ease of use is way simpler and easier to setup.
But love the rocket and really fun though. (Im not saying it need to be nerfed). As it is just my opinion.
Llama got owned damn
It may be worse the legendary rocket but I will continue to main it as it is a cool gun
thunderlord still reigns supreme 🥱
Average lfg shitter mindset 😂🤦🏻♂️
Llama got Donkey'd damn
You should have had ukulele music in the background too 💀
Me who thought the rl in the thumbnail was gonna be hothead: 💀
Bro i was hearing Conor before i clicked 🤣
tell them about horseman
Donkey is craaaazy
while it obviously becomes less effective I'm not entirely sure that you can completely rule out 2 people using dragon's breath
More people using it means less gally value. Not hard math
I out dps everyone in my raid team when i rock dragons breath, but the rule is only 1 guy runs it. Its like Ghally, only 1 reaps the benefits
Lemme save you the 3 minutes: yes
DONKEY
I love you man.
1:30 I was farming Spire last week and it was so frustrating how many groups didn't even consider this. Pretty much everyone is still running well + rockets despite well not being broken on Persys anymore and rockets being inefficient; I'd pretty much always have more damage than the other two combined. And that's before you get into all the dragon's breath spammers blowing themselves up...
Pretty much everyone also doesn’t own a b+s cataphract…
@@somohookyy'know, fair. I *did* have to focus that thing a few hundred times over the course of almost a thousand trials matches last season, but that was stupendously bad luck
Seems to be that Someone has being watching aegis videos…. Still love you llama.
Next do anarchy dps
Ly ❤
As if everyone understands exactly how to use the rocket hours after the season starts lmao
You don't ever need to apologize for being incorrect. Humans are imperfect, you're human, and we all make mistakes. All that matters is you correct the info and keep it moving.
Still hate saint For not giving me a B&S catapratch
continue to cleanse the world
donkey.
Bruh don’t worry, the real ones know your intentions were good. Things like this happen, but most wouldn’t dare to say they were wrong about anything so that alone puts you above the non constructive “donkeys” that waste space in your chat 😂
so called freethinkers when aegis disagrees with them SMH
I loved how the "You are using it wrong" comments come from the people that thought multiple Anarchy or Witherhoards would stack. Same as Scorch and Ignites...
Anarchy does stack
I'll never ever play Trials for a PvE weapon, I'd rather die.
