Such wonderful, resilient people in this episode. The young man with the "prodigal son" brother seems as genuine as they come, and the man who had the stroke showed me that happiness can be found in a horrible situation. The episode was humbling, but very blessed.
This was an amazing episode. The brothers love for his brother was so pure. The Dad was beyond funny at the end. And he started moving a bit. Will he ever fully recover? I highly doubt it. But his spirit for what he had made me smile. I learn more everyday as life moves on.
Rob and his daughter in law have a lovely relationship. Makes me miss my father in law. I was with him when he was diagnosed with cancer and looked after him until the end. I miss him
That poor gentleman with the stroke. My heart broke for him. My husband just died after being kept alive for 4 years- couldn't move or speak. So sad what strokes will damage
I absolutely love this show! The difference between the US and the UK is undeniable, Apple's and Orange's. The compassion and level of care is surpassed. As for this channel they bring you into the full story including with the families and care and you just become immersed in it. I love the story of the brothers in their ability to persevere and it also applies to the other two stories. Thank you!
It might be a repeat to you but I hadn't seen it before and I've been watching the channel for about a year. I found this one particularly moving because of the two adopted brothers and how despite their sad background and caring adoptive parents adversity had drawn them much closer as a family. My deepest admiration goes out to Rob, the man with locked in syndrome, and how his daughter in law has stepped up to the challenge of caring for him and the wonderful loving and engaged relationship has enriched every member of his family. Even the lady with the severely damaged wrist who lost her husband who meant the world to her had found the one person who had stepped up and taken her hand and pulled her back into the world of the living. This was a moving and uplifting story that deserved repeating at a time when the world seems so totally depressing.
I believe the young man's name was Connor. When told he'd have surgery on his leg the following day, and that he'd have a ROD put into his broken leg. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE BONE MARROW WHEN A ROD IS PUT INTO THE 2 BONE PIECES???? Watching the staff mangle his flesh to put in the chest tube, it's no wonder the poor boy DIED of a chest infection a few days later.

It’s a legal issue and requirement. Same in the USA.
