i'm pretty sure she do know that he is her brother, we even have a version of the clip where Rin run into Len's arms because she is happy to see her brother again
That bit at the end, where the woman in red is able to see through the disguise but still goes through with it, hits hard. Even though she hated the Queen, she respected Len enough to keep the secret that he was just a double from everyone else. He wanted to take the fall, and she let him
This made me so sad the first time I watched it, but anyway, at 2:36 you can see that one of the birds is dead, foreshadowing/sybolizing that he is going to die.
Rachael Pofahl and the brother set free the other bird before his death, symbolizing that he has set his sister free. and when he looks at the bird flying free during the execution, i think he knew his sister would be safe.
Grief is a powerful thing amongst humans. It's one of those fantastic elements that is surprisingly rooted in real life as well. True grief can kill a person far better than even most poisons can, and it doesn't even have to be sadness used as a medium.
@@lulu111_the_cool afaik, in the literal story its literally a demon of pride and gluttony, I forget it's name, who Rin just like the demon of lust being the only reason Kaito fell for Miku
@@melodytheatre2887 To be fair. Iirc Ney had a stellar disguise in the way that i don't think anyone knew Kyle had a Sister and Ney was that sister. She was just some orphan that Mariam Phutapie adopted. Her being Alexiel and Riliane's Half-Sister surely made the job easier tho as she didn't share much in common with either Kyle or Prim.
I've noticed a few people asking "what if someone finds out the body is male" and id like to share with those folks the tale of Dante's casket: allegedly, Dante Alighieri, a famous writer in history, died away from where he was born, so the people where he was born were like "give us our dead famous guy back". They were given the casket, but someone thought to open it, and it was empty. but they couldn't do anything about it because that would mean admitting they opened a dead guys casket, which is a big no-no and would badly damage their reputation. So sure, explain to people how you know the queen has a penis. or live in a kingdom under new rule with no sign of the queen around, and just silently know.
Someone else wrote it out better. The fact was, the public was alreafy crying out for justice hence, if they didn't go through with the execution then they risk the kingdok falling into complete anarchy and be ripe for subjugation. Mind you, the ring leaders were in it for revenge and justice. They weren't in any way of wanting for the throne nor were they out to destroy the kingdom.
@@thesheerwoodcrow5465 I believe that Germaine was suspicious because Allen was her adopted brother and he probably told them right before the execution had happened which is why Germaine looks shocked.
@@Diona_at_McGenshins I interpreted it as she managed to see through the disguise, but kept it to herself, both because the people wanted blood, and also respecting the choice he made.
Just some things I wanna share with everyone- also, I'm keeping Rilliane and Allen's name as Rin and Len for clarity and length's sake. 1:01 the image of the newly throned princess fades away into a silhouette of a bird, which will be shown again and again throughout the video. We can guess that the bird(s) stand(s) for the princess and her brother. 1:07 One yellow bird is caged- this bird stands for the princess, and the cage is the Demon of Pride that has locked away her true self. The other bird is brought to her by Len, her servant and brother- one free canary which looks alike to the one all caged up. 1:30 Len swings his dagger at the fallen rose, with a faint image of a man behind the scattering petals. This shows that Len killed him on the queen's orders- thus leaving the red-haired woman alone and with a desire for revenge. 1:37 The woman is replaced by Len, which indicates that Len feels anguish and sorrow for killing the man(He was Len's adoptive father) 2:02 Two birds are locked in the cage together, seemingly in love- while the princess looks on with tearful eyes. This can translate to; 1. the canaries stand for Kyle and Michaela, in their own love-filled world with no place for Rin. 2. The cage, which I recognize as a metaphor for the Demon, has locked up not only the princess but the servant in its evil. On Rin's orders, Len had murdered his own father and left his adoptive sister an orphan; In the next scene he is shown to end his love's life(not the truth, though, but anyways). 2:36 One of the birds lie dead on the floor, its mate grieving her death. Again, this can mean two different things. 1. Kyle vows to avenge Michaela's death, brought on by the princess who enjoys her tea with no regrets. 2. The teatime represents Len's final line, when he was executed right as the clock announces teatime. Rin is the grieving bird, and Len is the fallen one. 3:04 Only one of the yellow birds remain within the black wires. 3:27 Now, the bird spreads its wings and rises toward the ever-blue sky. Rin's soul, crushed within the Demon's grip, finally breaks free in the face of her brother's death- but there will always be a bracelet of guilt somewhere in her heart. 4:20 Len looks upward, seemingly at the bird lingering around the guillotine. 4:23 I cannot shake the thought that Rin's cloak looks like a bird's wings. Even though she was granted freedom- wings to fly- she dyes them black out of guilt and sorrow. 4:36 Clovers, clovers form a field. Those three-petaled leaves stand for happiness, revenge, and 'remember me.' Len wishes her to be happy, and Rin will keep him alive in her heart. If you look at the right downside corner of the note, there is a single four-leaved clover; if by 'Luck' they can be reunited again, they'll play again carefree and happy. Um... I spent a lot of time writing this, so maybe a like wouldn't hurt..?? OwO + My goodness, the amount of likes on this comment is double the monthly paycheck I'll probably get one day
To all of you in the comments, at the end of the official light novel they reunite together and redo the whole world :) The girl was possesed by the sin of gluttony and pride and that is why she acted so horribly. Later, she breaks free from the possesion and gets reincarnated a few times till she gets reunited at the end.
@@poopkiler2768 The last light novel is called "Deadly Sins of Evil: Master of the Heavenly Yard". There isn't any (un)official translation for it, we only have a summary from some random dude. The ending of the last chapter: "Soon after, Riliane appeared with a Black Box; finally reuniting with her, Allen along with his twin sister initiated a Re_birthday of their own, creating a new world: the Fourth Period. Soon after, Allen and Riliane vanished from the Third Period, leaving behind a gate to the Fourth Period."
It wasn't Allen's fault, he loved his sister. It wasn't Rilianne's fault, she was possessed. It wasn't Marie Annette's fault, she never wished to be a Demon. It wasn't Ney's fault, she was raised by that witch. It wasn't Germaine's fault, she was strong. It wasn't Kyle's fault, he had a horrible mother. It wasn't Michaela's fault, she was innocent. It wasn't Clarith's fault, she was lonely. It was that fucking Seth's fault. Edit : No I didn't forgot about Prim and Irina. Read again and you'll see I did included them.
I really love how the knight of red's eyes get wide of realization when she looks at the servent of evil disguised as the princess. In the version of 'Maiden of red' (Someone did a daughter of evil cover but with the tale of the knight of red), she kills him anyway as a sign that 'You took someone I love, so I will do the same to you.' But in doing so, she realizes that makes them one and the same, making her the daughter of evil as well.
Also in the first light novel of the series, the red knight, Germaine, insisted on getting the servant, Allen, to run away with her and have a new life like how they once had when they’re still a family (both Germaine and Allen are adopted by the same person). But Allen rejected that and even revealed he was the one who killed their father. It could be possibly that the shock from this encouraged Germaine to continue Allen’s execution (besides from making princess Riliane to suffer), tho later she always wondered if it was the right thing to do.
I know this one is technically better on the singing, but I think I like the older version just a little more. The little touches in the old one like the sound of the guillotine and the pause after the fact, just elevates it to be better as a whole.
I personally like this one a lot more because the piano hits me a lot harder (idk who played the piano here but it's amazing to me xd or is it Bslickmusic? Sorry if I'm being ignorant here 🙈 I wish there was a piano only version on his channel omg) and her timing here is perfect but I do see where you're coming from. I'm personally also a sucker for slower songs and this one is a little slower so haha 😊.
@Jessie Yan Teng Aw Basically this is a reprise song to 'Daughter of Evil' except this is from the brother's POV. So in summary, the two twins were separated as babies, the sister growing up in the palace while the other one was sent away to study, eventually becoming the servant to his sister so they no one can separate the two again. But the sister is one cruel young lady, she grew up very spoiled and is literally, not a good person, but the brother still loves his sister dearly and is, as you can see, extremly loyal to her. Even to the point where she asks him to murder a girl ( another princess ) that is in the way of her one sided crush to another prince, and he gladly did dispite his own feelings for the girl. Since that girl was quite literally, a princess to another Kingdom, and the fiance of that very same prince, along with the country people that she taxes and treats like shit, a riot starts for the girl's head. It's a plot twist here but the brother switched places with her at the last minute, saying ' no one will notice ' and to 'run far away'. The brother died in the place of his horrible sister, even though he's gained nothing from helping her, and even though everyone was against her and starting a manhunt to behead her, the brother didn't even hesitate to take the beheading for her. And that shit... really makes a grown man cry.
@Jessie Yan Teng Aw Also, if you want to cry more, the third song to this story is ' Regret Message ', this is back to the sister's POV, Have fun with the tissues :D
@@fallen3716 Oh, that's quite what happens. I'll add some details tho if anyone wants to read them. Daughter of Evil comes from the Evillious chronicles (64 songs, bunch of mangas, bunch of light novels. Daughter of Evil is quite a small portion of it all, but plays a hella important role for the ending.) more specifically the seven deadly sins saga. Rin here plays a character named Rilliane, and Len her twin, Alexiel. They are from a kingdom called Lucifenia, and upon being born disputes started as to who would take the throne since they're literally the same age. At some point in their childhood someone tries to kill Alexiel, so the queen takes the decision to declare him dead and semd him away to live in the forest with a royal knight and a girl that will later turn out to be the red armoured knight in the revolution (Meiko) (this is important). They grow apart and a lot of events make Rilliane forget about Alexiel, who now lives under the name of Allen away from the castle. Following that the queen dies, and Rilliane takes her place after encountering the demon of Pride and forming a "contract" with it. This is what makes her be a terrible person and what causes the events of Daughter of evil (the song). At this time Alexiel (now going under the name of Allen) starts working in the castle as a servant just to be with his sister, who doesn't quite remember him, but as you'd imagine they become close again anyway. Now in Servant of evil, as you said Allen takes Rilliane's place before she's caught by the revolution, and it goes on like the in the video. Though there is to notice that when he's in prison waiting to be executed he has a talk with Meiko, in which she realizes it's him and offers to let him go in exchange for information about the whereabouts of the princess. Kaito knows too, but upon realizing he wouldn't give even a hint they decided to carry on the execution to calm down the masses and follow Allen's desires. If you wanna keep going I'd recommend checking out Daughter of White, but if you're only interested in Rin/Rilliane just go with Regret message and then Reach for the stars (it makes it hella sadder too). (if you really wanna skip everything on the story and just see them Master of The heavenly Yard is the final, final song for their story. Though you won't get anything without knowing about almost every other song there is in Evillious.) If you wanna start on Evillous (It's a mess, a total mess. It'll hurt your head to try and figure out everything but it's so good) Start by a song called Barisol's Child is an only child, or checkout Mario Gagabriel's channel, he does easy to understand pv's for a lot of the songs and you may find a lot of information in the comments of the videos. That's it, sorry to bother. I just really love this masterpiece .
The Queen of Evil was sung from the perspective of the ordinary people who saw her and turned history into a fairy tale or that fairy tale as history. This song is the hidden history behind the scenes. Maybe it's the truth hidden behind the legend.
It is I think. At the end Len and Rin are both wearing these same outfits and when Rin is older(spoilers) she says to the orphans she took care of that she had a dark past of mistakes and such😔 And she kept Len's botle...
Hey did anyone notice when red lady captured her twin brother, I think she knew it's her brother not her😳 Then why didn't she stopped that I'm feeling so bad and hurt now😭
In the story, Len (The Servant brother) was adopted by the Father of the Girl in Red. The Red Girl knew it was Len so she hesitated to continue the execution and let Len free. But Len didn't want them to find Rin (The Queen Sister) so Len told the Red Girl that he killed her father. The Red Girl was upset by this and so they continued the execution for Len.

4:36 What is that paper supposed to mean? "Il y a l'avec un sourire" ? Those are French words, but the sentence doesn't make sense. "There is the with a smile"?
According to the novel Len wished to see her smile one last time. So she attended the execution and she tried to smile at him because he loved her innocent smile.
I guess it's supposed to be "Il y va avec un sourire" or something. But still, may as well search a bit if it's to give it emotion and make it fancy, because it just made me laugh.
Losing a sibling is a horrible thing, even if its meant to save you,Because that would mean being lonely with the only,or one of the only, most precious things taken away.
In Rin's case it's even worse. You can likely move on after a long time of grieving from the loss of a close one, but can you move on when the loss was your fault? Rin probably thought during and after the execution, "It should have been me," and guilt forever chains those to its grasp.
Man, it’s been awhile since I heard this song. Story of Evil was some of my favorite vocaloid songs and honestly, it still hold up to me. I love the way that this series of songs told a whole story and i just always enjoy it. Servant of Evil was always a favorite and was the first I heard out of them but man. I feel what really makes this story hit hard is Regret Message with the aftermath of it all. Just so great and just I love your singing in this. It’s very good and seeing this in my feed is making me want to just go back to listening Vocaloid more
I don't know it you're aware but there is more than just 3 songs to this story. Even if I can't recall the names, there is one about a White Girl and the Green Fairy who became human to be her friend (she's Miku). When Miku is killed, there is another song about White Girl promising revenge on the Yellow Queen. There is one on the Red Knight-Lady and one about the Blue Prince. And maybe one or two more. White Girl is the co-owner of the orphanage Rin works at later on. She discovers her identity but forgives her.
R E : F L E C T I O N Yeah, I’m aware that there is more. I knew about the White Girl and I have listened to that one but I haven’t listened to some of the others that I know are in the same universe. Honestly, I mainly listened to the initial three and that’s what’s the most nostalgic for me. At some point I might go back and listen to the others but Daughter of evil, Servant of evil, and regret message are the ones that I’ll always go back to
Just putting this here- Allen (Len) did NOT kill Michaela (Miku). He merely found her body in a well. It was actually Ney (Neru) who killed her. Fun fact- Ney is actually the half sister to Rilliane, Allen, and Kyle (Kaito), as Kyles mother had been in love with the yellow king and childhood friends with his wife, and in order to get back at her for marrying him she manipulated the king of blue and used her status to have an affair with the yellow king. Another fun fact- It was her that caused this entire story to happen. She's the one that sent the demon of gluttony (Banica Conchita, as she had eaten the previous one at the end of her life) to Rilliane, as well as the demon of pride after the sorceress Elluka Clockworker exorcised her. OOOO another fun fact the reason Kyle fell in love with Michaela was because he was actually under the effects of the demon of lust. Yeah the blue queen did that too.
@Chintia Graciella Marchelina Sinaga 1328037 I've read several wiki articles on the characters of evillious chronicles, as well as listened to almost all of the (over 60) songs
I really like how every evilious story can be told in different perspective, there is that main story where come from the public that portray the main character as the bad guys and then there is always a hidden version from the "evil guys" themselves or the close one of the evil one which was the same fact but completely changed the tone and everything
fun fact: after this life cycle, rin got reincarnated as rin miroku in the tailor of enbizaka. ever since she was born as rin miroku, she felt incomplete as if she was waiting for someone. [[Not just today either. Yesterday, the day before that, and even long before that-since the time I was born.]] later into the the story, she got her memories as Rilliane back, but Luka killed her before she got reunited with Len.
i have a theory: they knew it was len but they let it slide because they know that losing a loved one would hurt her and break Rin and be more painful than death. when Len said something, the voice was like deep during his beheading( 4:05 ) and when Len said "how dare you show its disrespect" in Daughter of evil was probably not the voice Rin had maybe the difference was obvious it somehow explains the shocked face the red girl had ( 3:35 and 4:09 ) and how the red girl had her hands in a fist ( 4:12 )
Fun fact about red girl: the man who Len killed in 1:30 was not only her father, but Len father (adoped I mean) too. The reason why Len killed him was bs that man tried to tell Rin to stop take money from people, of corse Rin didnt listen, so she ordered Len to kill him. Sorry for my garbige English.
Well. That's not the actual reason. The reason they did that is because Allen told them, he was the one who killed micheala and killed their father. Germaine, in rage let him be executed. But Allen in didn't kill Micheala. Ney did.
Ms. Robinett, as someone who has a deceased twin this song makes me smile yet weep so hard. It is so poignantly beautiful! Truly an angelic ballad! I am sure the manga is a great story too. Love how the Japanese dress up like the French!
04:40 i was holding my tears until this quote came, this touched my heart and i don't know why , it's like a wish, a little boy wishing he play with his sister
So here's a probably unneeded analysis, Len messed up big-time by sacrificing himself in Rin's place. Here's why, based on what happens next Len's goal wasn't exactly achieved. Remember, his goal is to make Rin happy no matter what has to be sacrificed. Is Rin happy after these events? Nope, in fact she's in so much pain that she probably contemplated suicide or turning herself in. Rin is the only one left without a happy ending, wandering alone with the guilt that it's all her fault that Len died. The worst part for her is that there's no way out, if she lives on she has to bare this guilt until she dies of natural causes, if she turns herself in or succumbs to suicide, Len's sacrifice would have been in vein. She did learn her lesson, but is Len really happy because he left Rin to suffer for the rest of her life? Also Rin doesn't exactly feel happy again until she's eventually reunited with Len many lives later. Now, so we've established what's above, let's get into what Len should have done. He honestly should have taken the bet to flee alongside Rin to a place far away. If he can dress Rin up in an unrecognizable outfit and then have her escape in the chaos without getting caught at all, then it would be just as likely that he could have dressed Rin up as himself, then both of them flee in opposite directions and meet up somewhere else. It's unlikely anyone would put together the pieces that two Lens were present at the same time. Then there's loose ends, yes, the public would think that their queen is still at large, but firstly, they'd likely never find the two if they just keep wearing disguises and secondly, since when does either of them care about what the public thinks? Rin as the songs establish is pretty heartless towards them, and Len generally only wants to make Rin happy, even at the cost of others. Thus, they'd both likely be free, uncomfortable, but they'd both be alive and I think Rin would have been able to find the same lesson in those times, after losing everything except Len, she'd realize what a truly wonderful person she has next to her. The public would likely give up on the search eventually since they now overthrew the Queen as intended and achieved their freedom, they may just assume the Queen is dead anyways since MIA so long would just end up with them being a non-threat. That being said, Meiko and Kaito wouldn't exactly have closure either since neither of them would get compensation for the deaths of their loved ones, but I think they can move on because they stopped going after Rin just because Len took her place. It would take awhile longer, but I think robbing the Queen of everything she had would be enough to satisfy them to not relentlessly track Rin and Len down and again, Rin and Len shouldn't care about what those two think in the first place. So why did Len make the hasty decision to sacrifice himself? It may have just been a misjudgement, he's so loyal to Rin that he didn't think to plan ahead and just looked at the present situation of her needing to survive rather than live on happy. It could have also been that Len doesn't think Rin needs him to be happy, which was a grave misjudgement since he forgot that he's been the one making her happy this entire time and never stopped to consider what if he wasn't there. It could have been that Len doesn't think Rin would be able to escape if he doesn't distract them, which is the most logical explanation, but again, what I mentioned above with what Len should have done. It could have also been that Len saw fit for him to die instead of Rin. He could have used the excuse that he was the one who committed the murders, he did the dirty work, he was too stupid to refuse, therefore he should die because he's just as much a demon as Rin. However, while that's selfless, it's self-contained selflessness. Len didn't consider how his death would impact Rin and died thinking they'd both be happy, when unfortunately, Rin isn't happy after this. Even in Regret Message and the interpretations from the other songs (like the one from Haku's perspective), we see Len's spirit trying to protect Rin even after he's died, but honestly, it feels like a futile attempt, Rin is heartbroken and all Len can do is try to comfort her, but he can't be there for her anymore. I'd even venture to guess that Len constantly thinks about what if he did things differently. Could he have changed Rin earlier if he put up some resistance to her orders? Could he have saved them both? He probably blames himself and thus both twins move on with guilt they can't get rid of, thus is the price to learn the lesson. For Rin it's, 'Never take your loved ones for granted, for one day they may be gone.' For Len it's, 'To make someone happy isn't the same as doing what's best for them.' 14 years of glory is compensated by multiple lives, years and years of suffering, for them to finally be released when they meet again in another life. Before you say it, no I'm not saying Len is necessarily a bad person for doing what he did. I'm just saying he made a misjudgement which is totally excusable given the circumstances were probably very dire. Also, I am aware there's more to it, Rin was possessed by a sin, but that doesn't solve anything, no one ever forgives her for not necessarily being responsible for her crimes. I don't even think she realized at the end that she was being controlled and tempted by a sin. Why write this analysis? Analysis helps me whenever my heart is touched and I'm crying uncontrollably and this song did just that.
... I always thought he sacrificed himself to atone - he fell in love with the lady of green, and then killed her (despite the orders behind it, he must have felt guilty, burdened, and desperate), he knows the merchant of red, he probably feels indebted to the prince of blue and the citizens of his own country, plus he still views the queen of yellow as innocent, meaning he's taking all the blame in the situation, and he wants to give her a chance to avoid being hunted, to just live without the pressures of the crown and the temptations of sin. It's a heck of alotta guilt, grief, and despair.
I don't know if I love you more because you've made the best covers for daughter and servant of evil or because you did it in 2020 making it the best thing that happened by far this year... I'm seriously impressed by the fact that these songs are so good that people still are motivated to cover them!
Oh my lord I just discovered this animation and now your cover is using it and it's just- aGHH SO PERFECT!! Also have I ever been this early? I don't think so!! Keep doing what you're doing Lizz, you sound like a freaking angel girl!!!!
several years have passed since I've first listened to this song, and it still hits the same :') the absolute tragedy of these two will never fail to make me shed a tear
Ah I'm so glad you covered this again. This was the first vocaloid cover I found before I knew what vocaloid was. So thank you for getting me into vocaloid
For everyone- short explanation. Rilliane and Allen knew eachother since they were kids. One day, rilliane and Allen went to the shore to play (twiright prank) on the way, they met a demon (Conchita). Conchita asked them for a snack since she was so hungry. Allen felt pity for her and then gave her a part of her snack. Since rilliane was greedy and refused to share the snack, she got possessed by the sin of gluttony. Right after they came back from the shore, rilliane would go to the kitchen and eat all the food there. Rilliane also started to be colder and meaner to allen because a Noble corrupted her to become the heir to the throne. Allen, was still nice to his twin sister though. On a night, allen got assassinated, rilliane was the only heir to the throne, but she was still possessesed by gluttony. Elluka (or the clockworker Witch forgot her name.) Wanted to save the universe or smth and removed the demon out of rilliane causing her to forget about some memories and about her past. That's why she doesn't remember allen. Allen came back as a servant disguised as Len when rilliane was queen, he somehow survived the Assassination attempt. Rilliane, who forgot about her past and got somehow possessed by the demon of pride (causing her to be like this) was fascinated by the way allen and her looked alike. And so the story of evil starts.
I thought Banica possessed Riliane before she asked the twins for the snack 🤔. Btw, the mage’s name is Elluka Clockworker, and she on her mission to find the 7 vessels. She accepted the mission simply out of boredom if I’m not wrong :v, and also to keep them out of her opponent, Irina Clockworker, since Irina has bad attempts with them.
note: I already know there's an official light novel for this. I just want to put pen to paper on something. pov: the young queen grew up in the palace alone mostly. having been told her brother was dead, she coped badly with the loss, and by the time she was fourteen was consumed by the sins that possessed her. her greed and envy, of the girl in green and her lingering lust led her to take turns for the worse. then there's the servant, her most loyal one. with kind blue eyes and a shy smile. "your highness, brioche will accompany your tea." he says, and she thanks him, smiling as well. meanwhile outside the palace walls, soldiers burn houses and force people out of their homes. he knows she's changed; that's she's evil, and will lead him to do evil things as well. he knows, but he complies anyway, for he misses his long-lost sister and would do anything for her. so he lies and cheats and kills for her. then, they come for the queen. the queen has caused the death of the green-haired girl, whose blue-haired lover weeps and swears revenge. a revolution is on the horizon, led by a blue-haired man in a mask and a girl dressed in red. down with the queen, they shout as they push aside soldiers to enter the palace. in the queen's chambers, she curls up, a sort of fear building up within her. then the door opens, and she screams softly, only to find her loyal servant running in, his hair slightly shorn, wearing one of her dresses. "go, put on some ordinary clothes, and leave through the fireplace secret door." he commands. "what are you doing?" she hesitates, looking the servant up and down. the servant looks exactly like her, blue eyes and blond hair and a rose in her golden curls. "don't worry. they won't find out." the servant assures. "don't you see? we're twins. so alike they could never tell the difference." the queen's mouth falls open. and it all clicks into place. her most loyal servant is her brother, presumed dead. so she rushes over and clutches her long-lost brother, in a pale yellow dress that matches their hair. "no." she breathes, and her brother smiles. "please," he says warmly, "go before they get here." the girl freezes, then lunges for her brother. "no, you can't do this." the servant stares after her sorrowfully, then gives her one last quick hug as tears spill down her face. he then leaves the queen's chamber and locks her in. the young queen has no choice but to escape through the secret doorway. otherwise, her brother's sacrifice will have been made in vain. meanwhile, the young servant stands on the balcony, seeing the pet bird in the cage next to him. he gently opens the cage door and lets it fly free. "stay safe." he whispers, and just then, a sword grazes the back of his neck. he turns around. scolds the commoners like his sister would. the girl in red stares at him, like she knows that the boy is masquerading as the queen. puzzled and trying to fit the pieces together. but the blue-haired man cuts her reverie short, coming forward to apprehend him. down with the queen, they shout. he lowers his head and walks, flanked by the heroes of the revolution, with ropes binding him- to his destiny, to death. the few days spent in his cell are lonely. he doesn't flinch once when the people pass by and glare at him. "all this," he thinks, "all this is worth enduring for my precious queen." and so, the day of the execution comes. they lead him to the gallows. he faces his fate, while a shadow in the corner, under a hood that hides yellow hair and blue eyes, stays frozen in fear. the true queen runs free. her servant, her brother, will now die. then the blade falls, and the familiar sentence rings out, followed by a slashing sound. "oh, is it teatime already?" and then there's blood. so much blood. the queen in the corner, dressed in commoner's clothes, wipes her eyes, bur she can't stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks. he's gone, her loyal, sweet, brave and bold brother. gone. dead. because of her. and there's nothing she can do about it.

but imagine how crazy it would be if she fell in love with Len and then he comes like "news! we're twins" since she didn't know they were siblings until they switched places, that's Canon as long as i remember That girl would feel so-
you know there is a light novel and a manga, in the manga the story is different it is darker and they have some interaction that sibling shouldn't have, the light novel is canon the manga is not but I prefer the manga

More likely: -The Princess: Riliane Lucifen d’Autriche (aka a nun named Rin after the revolution) -The Servant: Allen Avadonia (aka Prince Alexiel Lucifen d’Autriche) -The Red-armored Knight: Germaine Avadonia -The Blue King (yeah he is): Kyle Marlon -The Green Maiden: Michaela -The White Maiden: Clarith (Small fact: These 2 ladies are canon in the official Story of Evil; both Kyle and Allen’s love for Michaela is unrequited) And many more influential characters but I can’t list them all here cause it’s gonna be confusing. Information collected from Wikia Story of Evil.
16 years old me crying the first time i found this song. me now, almost 20 still crying listening to this song, but now im adapting it into a radio drama assigned by my lecturer.
one of the songs that i listen to almost everyday, and i will never get tired of listening to it, there is only 1 sentence to describe it " this is a masterpiece"
I feel like I'm psychic, lol. Just this past week, I was listening to the Evil Saga and was thinking it would be nice for you to do covers of them and now we're getting them, lol. With Gero's PV (my favorite iteration of it) This cover is beautiful.
For those wondering why she died, Michaela was killed because she was Kyle’s mistress when he was betrothed to Rillaine! Not because Alexiel fell in love with her!
I know im COMPLETELY late on commenting but I just thought of this... So the 2 of them are twins. And they look THE EXACT SAME as each other when the servent covers up for her as we can see at 3:17 when we get them both in the image with better details. So not only is she watching her brother die, but also WATCHING the fate that she could of experience and her suppose to be death- that must be TORTURE
i’m later asf but whatever…this series is the thing that makes me cry at night, i’m so happy this exists..i will always love the covers and the originals..this is definitely going to be my top 10 covers, thank you for existing lizz 🩷
crazy how rins song never really mentioned len except for in the beginning where she doesnt even recognize him as her twin, just as ‘a boy just like her’, but lens song is almost entirely about them being related
This is because Rins song is the story from the public viewpoints. The normal people doesn´t know, that the "boy just like her" was in reality her twin brother and therefore doesn´t the song mentiont it. Lens song instead is the hidden viewpoint from the servant himself and could therefore tell us more about the story.
when alexiel and Riliane are younger, they went to the beach with eachother after their mother queen ann grounded them for breaking a flowerpot, Riliane was possessed by. Two demons, pride and gluttony, her mother noticed she was mistreating her brother and claims herself to be queen, she then asked elluka clockworker to get the demon out it, it was accomplished, but the loss was that Riliane lost her memories of her brother, alexiel wanted Leonhart Avadonia to adopt him inorder to avoid from his danger, his mother agreed, she declared alexiel was dead, so alexiel went in hiding
He would have had to say a one-syllable word since that's how many times his mouth moves. He could have said, "Now?" as in to ask whether they should kill her now or later, from which the red girl sees that this may not be Rin when she's trying to deduce the answer to the blue guy's question. If her name is one syllable then he could have said that too as if to say, "Your call," or "You sure?"
On the day the two of us were brought into this world The bells gave their blessings to us twins , a boy and a girl But for reasons that we were to young to understand We were separated ; i could no longer hold your hand If the whole world plots to extinguish your light If they find the need to make you break and cry Don’t you worry , dear , I am right by your side So just smile for me ; it’ll be alright I am your loyal servant and you’re our country’s queen Us , a pair of pitied twins , burdened by our destiny Let hellfire consume me , if that’s what must be done I will gladly play the part , so that you may shine , my sun
I always loved how the character in red always seem to kind of have a feeling that the queen wasn’t the true queen And that she realize there was a person who looked exactly like the true queen but that she couldn’t stop the exclusion because she wasn’t sure
@He ro Germaine actually wanted to stop the execution, Allen was her adopted brother and they loved each other. However Allen protested and revealed that he killed the Princess of Green and his/their foster father, and that he was doing this for Riliane, so Germaine let the execution carry on to pay for his crimes and to make Riliane regret her actions,.
from what i remember i think the girl in red at the end was someone he grew up with and viewed as a sister. the girl knew that he was disguised as the queen and wanted to free him by giving him the keys but he refused and went through the execution.

@@melodytheatre2887 To be fair. Iirc Ney had a stellar disguise in the way that i don't think anyone knew Kyle had a Sister and Ney was that sister.
I think the one who caught "rin" found out, but they chose to remain silent.
Also 3:36 they even seem to figure it out
@@thesheerwoodcrow5465 I believe that Germaine was suspicious because Allen was her adopted brother and he probably told them right before the execution had happened which is why Germaine looks shocked.
1:37 The woman is replaced by Len, which indicates that Len feels anguish and sorrow for killing the man(He was Len's adoptive father)
2:02 Two birds are locked in the cage together, seemingly in love- while the princess looks on with tearful eyes. This can translate to;
1. the canaries stand for Kyle and Michaela, in their own love-filled world with no place for Rin.

Its slower here too
These songs hit different once you really take a good look at the lyrics-
@Jessie Yan Teng Aw Basically this is a reprise song to 'Daughter of Evil' except this is from the brother's POV.
@Jessie Yan Teng Aw Welp, there's a reason why Gladiators existed, entertainment and setting an example, and your very welcome bub.
Though you won't get anything without knowing about almost every other song there is in Evillious.)
If you wanna start on Evillous (It's a mess, a total mess.
I just really love this masterpiece

Then, I'm a demon too, for our bloods one and the same
Long ago, there was a kingdom ruled by a queen
At that time the two of us were barely aged fourteen
A "daughter of evil" ruled the kingdom from within
But the stories lie, for she was my precious little twin
♡If the whole world plots to extinguish your light
If they find they need to make you break and cry
Don't you worry dear, I'm right by your side
So just smile for me, it'll be alright
♡I'm your loyal servant and you're my precious queen
Us a pair of pitied twins, burdened by our destiny
Let hellfire consume me, if that's what must be done
I will gladly play my part, so that you may shine, my sun
If the day comes that we are reborn once again
It'd be nice play with you, so I'll wait for you 'til then
Thank you ♥️
4:36 What is that paper supposed to mean? "Il y a l'avec un sourire" ? Those are French words, but the sentence doesn't make sense. "There is the with a smile"?
According to the novel Len wished to see her smile one last time. So she attended the execution and she tried to smile at him because he loved her innocent smile.
I guess it's supposed to be "Il y va avec un sourire" or something. But still, may as well search a bit if it's to give it emotion and make it fancy, because it just made me laugh.
L'avec I think the l' is supposed to be an indirect object/person. So maybe it's "There she is with a smile"?
I was looking for this comment. I took 2 semesters of French and can read it decently, but this sentence just confused me.
Yep it is the french revolution.
Don't worry len is immortal
" But i won't see it through they will not get their way "

How to made any vocaloid fan cry.
"Oh my, it's tea time."
Nope, that doesn't work on all vocaloid fans
At some point I might go back and listen to the others but Daughter of evil, Servant of evil, and regret message are the ones that I’ll always go back to
@@artistlee7068 you mean the whole 13 songs of the series?

“MORRRE”
3:57 this always made me cry😭😭😭Such a good brother
Stop your making me cry 😭
Kayo Sudou (Luka) also lived with Allen's reincarnation for a while as Kokutan Douji. He was so close yet so far :(
Such a beautiful and bittersweet piece. You and Bobby both really hit the heart of the lyrics. Thank you for sharing this with us, Lizz.
oh gawd the queen has graced us with her godly singing
i have a theory:
they knew it was len but they let it slide because they know that losing a loved one would hurt her and break Rin and be more painful than death. when Len said something, the voice was like deep during his beheading( 4:05 ) and when Len said "how dare you show its disrespect" in Daughter of evil was probably not the voice Rin had maybe the difference was obvious it somehow explains the shocked face the red girl had ( 3:35 and 4:09 ) and how the red girl had her hands in a fist ( 4:12 )
Love how the Japanese dress up like the French!

honestly i couldn't force myself to listen/watch to neither servant or daughter of evil but now i am 100% in love & crying
omg help why does this video always make me cry, Len and Rin are literally my favourite vocalic singers 😭
So here's a probably unneeded analysis,
Len messed up big-time by sacrificing himself in Rin's place.
For Rin it's, 'Never take your loved ones for granted, for one day they may be gone.'
For Len it's, 'To make someone happy isn't the same as doing what's best for them.'
14 years of glory is compensated by multiple lives, years and years of suffering, for them to finally be released when they meet again in another life.
You really think anyone will read this

Omg yes she's done it again aaaaa i knew this series wasn't over!!
This is still such a sad story, no matter how many times I listen to it.
I tell you, the tears I shed when I heard the line "Listen now, my dear, give your clothing to me. You and I will switch and away you must flee."
@@sarahfreezis2322 no, it was after the snack i think because rilliane was greedy.
I just LOVE this version of Servant of Evil!! This actually got me crying, it's such a beautiful version!
your improvement from 3 years ago made me cry (as did this song)
thank you. well done, snissy.
note: I already know there's an official light novel for this. I just want to put pen to paper on something.
pov:
the young queen grew up in the palace alone mostly. having been told her brother was dead, she coped badly with the loss, and by the time she was fourteen was consumed by the sins that possessed her.
her greed and envy, of the girl in green and her lingering lust led her to take turns for the worse.
then there's the servant, her most loyal one. with kind blue eyes and a shy smile.
"don't you see? we're twins. so alike they could never tell the difference."
the queen's mouth falls open.
and it all clicks into place.
her most loyal servant is her brother, presumed dead.
so she rushes over and clutches her long-lost brother, in a pale yellow dress that matches their hair.
"no." she breathes, and her brother smiles.
"please," he says warmly, "go before they get here."
the girl freezes, then lunges for her brother. "no, you can't do this."
the servant stares after her sorrowfully, then gives her one last quick hug as tears spill down her face. he then leaves the queen's chamber and locks her in.
the young queen has no choice but to escape through the secret doorway. otherwise, her brother's sacrifice will have been made in vain.
meanwhile, the young servant stands on the balcony, seeing the pet bird in the cage next to him. he gently opens the cage door and lets it fly free.
"all this," he thinks, "all this is worth enduring for my precious queen."
and so, the day of the execution comes.
they lead him to the gallows.
he faces his fate, while a shadow in the corner, under a hood that hides yellow hair and blue eyes, stays frozen in fear.
the true queen runs free.
her servant, her brother, will now die.
then the blade falls, and the familiar sentence rings out, followed by a slashing sound.
"oh, is it teatime already?"
and then there's blood. so much blood.
the queen in the corner, dressed in commoner's clothes, wipes her eyes, bur she can't stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks.
he's gone, her loyal, sweet, brave and bold brother.
gone. dead.
because of her.
and there's nothing she can do about it.

-The Red-armored Knight: Germaine Avadonia
-The Blue King (yeah he is): Kyle Marlon

crazy how rins song never really mentioned len except for in the beginning where she doesnt even recognize him as her twin, just as ‘a boy just like her’, but lens song is almost entirely about them being related
Rin doesn't even know they are twins until the end
when alexiel and Riliane are younger, they went to the beach with eachother after their mother queen ann grounded them for breaking a flowerpot, Riliane was possessed by.
Any guesses on what the blue guy said at 3:33?
Probably said something like "no wait this isnt her"
He would have had to say a one-syllable word since that's how many times his mouth moves. He could have said, "Now?" as in to ask whether they should kill her now or later, from which the red girl sees that this may not be Rin when she's trying to deduce the answer to the blue guy's question. If her name is one syllable then he could have said that too as if to say, "Your call," or "You sure?"
"No." Just, n o ..
On the day the two of us were brought into this world
The bells gave their blessings to us twins , a boy and a girl
But for reasons that we were to young to understand
We were separated ; i could no longer hold your hand
If the whole world plots to extinguish your light
If they find the need to make you break and cry
Don’t you worry , dear , I am right by your side
So just smile for me ; it’ll be alright

I always loved how the character in red always seem to kind of have a feeling that the queen wasn’t the true queen And that she realize there was a person who looked exactly like the true queen but that she couldn’t stop the exclusion because she wasn’t sure
She already know,
Meiko/Germaine just execute him directly because the people wont be satisfied without the “queens” death.
He ro yup
@He ro Germaine actually wanted to stop the execution, Allen was her adopted brother and they loved each other. However Allen protested and revealed that he killed the Princess of Green and his/their foster father, and that he was doing this for Riliane, so Germaine let the execution carry on to pay for his crimes and to make Riliane regret her actions,.
This the same story as told in the song: "Daughter of evil" but from the servant's perspective
“Oh I’m gonna listen to covers of the story of evil for nostalgia,” I say before I begin weeping.
Wow, actually seeing it in animation makes it so much more heart wrenching. The Regret message is going to be brutal!
from what i remember i think the girl in red at the end was someone he grew up with and viewed as a sister. the girl knew that he was disguised as the queen and wanted to free him by giving him the keys but he refused and went through the execution.
You’re right. The red girl is Germaine Avadonia and she shares the same adoptive father with Alexiel/Allen

Can't believe it took so long for me listen to this fantastic cover. It's stuck in my head on loop alongside the other two of the saga. Such an amazing song, such a beautiful story.
