Provides good control bursts and very little down time and since the screen has a cap on how fast it can move in any direction, there is little ot be gained from getting shotguns on both toons. Might look like a good choice if you're like the rest of us and don't leave any survivors :D

This was a pleasure to watch. These two work in near-perfect concert while simultaneously seeming to not care about the other player at times. Both of them have to correct perspective: the mission is to progress through the game while taking advantage of dual protagonist approach. That is how they achieved what they did. Well, that and probably a ridiculous amount of hours practicing.

No it's not because co-op, they're playing a modded rom, look at the title screen, it says low% and their names, looks like the enemies have had their HP set to a low percent too :) . Played plenty of coop contra and bosses are much harder than that.

Not modded at all, you can definitely kill the end guys this quick. It takes most people longer, because we tend to shoot all the other guns, etc before hitting the weak point to make it easier. These guys had it so memorized they were able to go straight to the weak point.

And no they aren't playing a modded version, if you were a speedrunner of this game or played the game enough you would know this, therefore you are just talking out of the blue without truly knowing anything you claimed. *Notes about the speedruns categories: "Low% speedrun" in all games means they are going to finish the game with the minimum required equipment to finish it, thats why they didn't picked up any upgrade. "Any% speedrun" are usually the fastests speedruns of any game, where you pick up just the items you need (or don't pick up anything at all if thats faster) to complete the game as fast as possible. And "100% speedruns" well you guess what that is.

oh yeah! i remember that. there was like 12 kids of us in 1993 in russia in front of old soviet tv and we are playing in turns... and when you beat the game it was not only your victory,but for many others who watch.

Bosses dies with just few bullets? Come on! This ain't the contra that i played when i was a kid.
thats because they are playing co-op when combined with their bullets it adds more combined damage to knock bosses down faster than doing it yourself.
No it's not because co-op, they're playing a modded rom, look at the title screen, it says low% and their names, looks like the enemies have had their HP set to a low percent too :) . Played plenty of coop contra and bosses are much harder than that.

@@jimmydelagarza3208 I assure you we did this on my old school NES which my sister still owns and which we still play occasionally when I go to visit. Not modded at all, you can definitely kill the end guys this quick. It takes most people longer, because we tend to shoot all the other guns, etc before hitting the weak point to make it easier. These guys had it so memorized they were able to go straight to the weak point.

And no they aren't playing a modded version, if you were a speedrunner of this game or played the game enough you would know this, therefore you are just talking out of the blue without truly knowing anything you claimed.
*Notes about the speedruns categories:
"Low% speedrun" in all games means they are going to finish the game with the minimum required equipment to finish it, thats why they didn't picked up any upgrade.
"Any% speedrun" are usually the fastests speedruns of any game, where you pick up just the items you need (or don't pick up anything at all if thats faster) to complete the game as fast as possible.
And "100% speedruns" well you guess what that is.

@@ildar-br6nk Это хакнутая версия. В оригинальной у врагов живучесть гораздо выше. Они же играют через эмулятор по сети.

@@ТоскаЛенивая да не важно, играют не на консоли, броня врагов один хрен слабее чем в оригинале или патроны дают больший урон. Их пульки которые самые простые наносят урон как от машингана под буквой "М".
Ну играют они хорошо. Я намного медленнее проходил. Хотя и мне показалось что живучесть у боссов особенно слабая.
