Yes I have. Deer wandering close in the early morning. Hiking trail. Creeks. Fire in the fireplace at night. The downside - bugs.

I have been going to Holywell since 2004. I love it. It makes me sad to see it slowly going the route of becoming more commercialised and busy and not so quiet and rustic any more.

Kem and Ale, you should come to Mandeville, Manchester, especially the Northwest part. It is mountainous, high elevation, coolest climate, very similar to the Blue Mountains.
For all the years you have been coming to Jamaica, you should see Northwest Manchester. I would love to host you if you ever visit. I live in paradise here since 2010, after living in Kingston for 48 years. It's tranquil, edenic, beautiful, peaceful. You are welcome!
As a fellow jamaican I totally agree with Alex. I can't deal with the hustle when I go back home. However I do attend the beach but love the rivers and falls also.

I loved every part of Jamaica that I visited a few years ago. Because of My locs & the way I look (just My assumption about the look part) a lot of the Natives thought I was from there & I felt honored by the compliments :-)

I love going to Holywell. That is cabin three you guys are in and all three cabins are havens for the bats. in the evening as the sun is setting you can hear them flying out to hunt for the night. Maybe those two never for the memo and overslept. LOL.

I stayed @ a house in Blue mountain about 4 years ago
…it was a 6 bedroom / mansion / hardwood floor / marble countertops etc /
clueless that folks lived so luxuriously in the mountains
Didn’t want to leave 🥰🥰🥰 had a blast…
the only con was it was 45minutes drive
away from a grocery store

One day I want to go to Jamaica too...
I had once in my lifetime to experience a bat in the home. God was definitely in the blessing business. My patio was the access way. because of a broken screen. If you get the owner to cover the chimney with a fine wire mesh screen. You could remedy bats and any other bugs interring. Beautiful, and definitely cozy.

Jamaica has no snakes..we have mongoose that killed them off...only if someone tries to sneak them in as pets and they get away...like what happens in America

Erosion has destroyed other beaches. The goverment sadly contributed to destrying some shoreline permitting hotels to be built closely to the beach then keeping the brach inclusive where the hotel is built. Beaches are not privatized on.most.other is an Adventist this this has created a division within the society. So i will.
Not share great locations because people flood the area and sttraction ruined NEGRIL for example was beautiful in 70 80s .my MY husband (decesed now)comment about the changes more hustle .
Progress is good.but the citizens well being should allways be considered if there were more.peole like your husband and my husband

Relocation of a school because .someone wanted the beach for tourist and lets displace the local fisherman.😅🇯🇲🌻🇨🇦 did not.intend to become political. But it irks. Me to watch its the youth who are paying dearly it has not affected my family who still there by choice but those who have no option or those who wishbto be there I pray for them.
