It's great having a good smelling hug 😊 In Brazil it is common to wash our rugs at home. We don't usually have bathtubs here, maybe our way of doing it is faster and makes less mess at home. We use a paved place in the backyard to place the rug, wet it with a hose and scrubbe the rug with soap and a broom. After rinsing we hang it up like you did on the fence. If you don't have a place big enough to spread the rug out on the backyard floor, maybe you can hang it over the fence with a brush instead of a broom. I imagine it must have been difficult to carry the wet rug out of the house

Laying the rug in the sunshine between washes will kill off dust mites and help keep it fresh. Turn it over to do the underside - fantastic to do between washes.
Brilliant idea. I’ve got a shaggy type rug from ikea and it’s an absolute bitch to clean and far too expensive for a professional, so, I’m gonna take advantage of the weather and use the hose and soap and leave it out to dry. Very rewarding though, seeing all the muck come out, I love that bit! 😂 xxx
Same, cheap $40 shag rug from Target that's not worth paying to be cleaned.
I have large rugs like that and I put them on my patio and use the garden hose put cleaners on scrub with a mop or broom rinse and hang to dry. I have my husband help get some water out before we try to hang it. My little skinny arms could never lift it alone. I really enjoy watching your videos ❤❤❤
You have a fantastic voice, you should read audiobooks. I could listen to you talk all day!
You are delightful. I watched a longer video of yours and promptly tidied my house. I'm just 3 days home from knee surgery, but even though it was painful, my walker helped me get it done. Thank you ❤️❤️
YES!!!! let’s maintain things we have instead of discarding them mindlessly
This bought back so many childhood memories of my mum doing this in the summer with the rugs, curtains and large blankets. Washing the rug in the bath upstairs then lugging it down to hang out to dry. I've 'upgraded' now to a house with a shower (It was either a shower or a bath tub don't have the space for both) and I wish there was a cheap way to wash the rug and curtains.
Take it to a car wash… works great!
What? A car wash? Details please!
I know loads of do this with jet washes
@@myfriendscallmelee use the power washer at the car wash. You can even soap it up with the soap. Just make sure that you get every less bit rinsed out. It does become difficult to pick up so if you do it, make sure you have someone strong to help you. I like to put mine in the back of my truck to take home and leave out n the sunshine to dry. It can take a day so be patient. Make sure you try and squeegee out all the water before you move it
Women are superhuman, superhero’s !
You go girl!!!♥️😊
A woman's work.
Thank you for posting this! I needed an easy cheap way to clean my LR rug!
just a suggestion as your from the uk the rug doctor for hire from most supermarkets like tesco or asda is reasonably priced and makes cleaning the rugs easier also can be done when its not sunny. its like getting a professional clean but doing it yourself
You are always so positive! I love it!
Good job! You seem to be a very practical thinker.
Thanks for this now I can wash my rug! Your house is like my house and it's so hard for me to clean as I go. Its much easier for me to do big clean ups. Having 5 kids plus homeschooling them and a baby on the way makes it impossible to clean all the time. I'm so glad I found your channel. Definitely motivates me!
I love how relatable your content is :)
Wow!!! You doing it My Lady! Thank for always inspiring me to keep my house tidy. My family all ages all clean different because we are blended. Keeping the house clean is crazy difficult.
Well done!! You inspire me every time I watch.
Sunning rugs and duvets is actually a really good antibacterial and anti odor practice in itself! More people need to take care of what they already have! Bet that clean rug feels so good, her fluff really came out for that sun and air 🌞
You're a good mommy, I like your rug thanks for this home clean tutorial rug, thanks 😂❤😊
Just got flashbacks of being a little kid and my grandma asking me to get in the tub and march on the carpet or blanket until it was clean 💀
I admire how much work you did there.
Yup once a Yr thing! So many of us just can't afford the extras. Thanks for being real x
You just popped up on my shorts and i just subscribed and watched all your videos! I have a 1 year old who never stops and i too struggle to keep on top of things. Your videos make me feel normal! I love your transparency and overall personality, keep up the good work girl ❤ 🙏
I'm loving your little toddler, so adorable! Btw, great job on the rug. God bless your energy, girlfriend.❤
This was really satisfying to watch!
It's great having a good smelling hug 😊
In Brazil it is common to wash our rugs at home.
Wow, I would have never thought of washing that big rug like that😳 I give you so much credit for all your ways you think of to get things clean 😊 I love seeing the results after 👍🏼
Take the advantage of the snow as well! Putting it face down then stomping works like a charm for a refresh 😊
I do this as well , but I lay it flat on my decking and use the hose and a brush to give it a good clean 👌🏼👌🏼 my house smells so clean
Las alfombras son hermosas pero dan mucho trabajo, por eso no tengo ninguna en mi casa. Ame tu dedicacion. Te quedó preciosa!😊
Wow, you are so badass! I could never carry that heavy rug outdoors and hang it up.
I like your transparency, you’re honest and don’t try to act pretentious ( snobby in the US). I really like you. 😊
U R OLD SCHOOL REM. GOOD FOR U. MODERN FOLKS HAVE NO CLUE HOW SMART U TRULY ARE....KEEP SOARING
I love your home!! hello from Reading!!
Honey how do I get too see all ur posts imm new to using a phone ..but find you so real and so appreciate that you are understanding us real us ..much love from a suffocated house mum in new Zealand now starting to clean her home because you thank you
Your child looks very happy!
Thank you that's really helpful, and good point about doing it when the weather is hot.
On sunny days, no matter the temperature out, you can hang your rug in full view of the sun for a couple hours. The UV rays helps sanitize and gets rid of odors! My mom makes us air out our rugs once a week
Good job! 👏
You made it look easy and saved a ton of money. ❤
I bet your living room smells soooo nice now
Love your vids!
Omllll I loved watching you on tiktok but since I’ve abandoned tiktok, I’m glad you’re here toooo!!
