Thank you for posting this. My wife and I had our honeymoon/babymoon in the cabins across the street from Pop’s. I have been so worried about all the great people and places in Maggie Valley. Please stay safe and if you have any update videos on how things are there I would love to see them.
I moved out of Maggie Valley after 25 years of a good life there despite the fact the town's leaders are all business owners are more interested in their profits and collecting the all the taxes from all the sales on everything the visitors buy than the residents! That town has not place, NO PLACE to shelter it's own residents let alone the huge number of visitors an event like this brings. I'm sorry, but shame on the organizers of this truck show and the town for not cancelling it! Greed, greed and greed! And now look at all those people got stuck there! And it isn't over. Mud and rock slides are going to be everywhere!

I live due south of where this video is filmed on a mountain of Balsam. Our community was devastated. Prayers for those still missing are needed.

here in South Carolina groups have donated supplies and we pull together get'er done..Red Cross,Salvation Army,local business too..

Cherokee was not bad. The eye basically passed over it, so they missed the worst of the eastward side.
