I moved out of Maggie Valley after 25 years of a good life there despite the fact the town's leaders are all business owners are more interested in their profits and collecting the all the taxes from all the sales on everything the visitors buy than the residents! That town has not place, NO PLACE to shelter it's own residents let alone the huge number of visitors an event like this brings. I'm sorry, but shame on the organizers of this truck show and the town for not cancelling it! Greed, greed and greed! And now look at all those people got stuck there! And it isn't over. Mud and rock slides are going to be everywhere!

last week i was trying to think about something similar to paint on my van too. i think I've decided to stick with just some worn looking signage on the doors only. let me know whet you decide on. with my van having the roof and steel rims painted Calypso Coral, I was kind of thinking old A&W signage. It kindof looks like their colors to me. I would gladly email pics of mine if you're interested

Great video SC ! The van is coming along nice 👍. I like that plufg in cigarette lighter with the volt indication. I need a couple of those I think I notice that the dash gauge cluster on your van is Identical to the one in my 62 Comet.

But it's worth it, everywhere I go now I get thumbs ups, and when I come out of the store some one's always looking her over. Here in central Ohio you just don't see these. To avoid those issues rebuild your own transmission and carburetor, its the only way you know its done right.

Remanufactured, refurbished, reconditioned, rebuilt etc don't have a legal definition and many sellers don't even state specifically what they've done.

Avoid Rock Auto at all cost

I wish you all the luck brother. Rock auto did me dirty once.....I ordered a remanned starter for my Comet and they packaged up and sent me someones old grimy core !!!! No joke. On the positive side, I contacted them and they sent me a new remanned one and let me keep the old core, they both work perfect. I find that pretty much everything you get now is cheap knock offs. My sons Cruze needed a vacuum motor for his brakes. Rock auto had one for 220. I quickly checked Amazon and found one for 88. Probably the same ??!! Now to deal with that trans shop 🙏👍

well , at least the gas cap fits nicely, i bought exactly the same from Rockauto this week , haha But please send and email to them and explain the situation , they have to make it right for you and i think they will do that. i am going to take the risk and put the C4 right back in the Van without rebuilding it. same effect i guess

Sorry to hear you have had the experience with Rock Auto they have cost me over $700 in torque converters the first lasted 2 miles the next one couldn’t even be rebuilt. It was a mess they were the only ones who had one. Have tried to talk to someone but no luck

I wish you luck. Just got done repairing a bad trans pan leak myself in my e300. Took way longer than it should've. Finding a carb seems to be mission impossible atm I've been looking myself.

Good afternoon Sir, I would get in touch with rock auto and raise H***L and demand what you originally ordered or at very least a refund for the $120.00 they clipped you for. And the transmission folks , wouldn't even want to see me after that. That being said, there are so many junk new parts out there now that the transmission guy's may have just recived junk parts. Sorry for the compasion but I've personally had to return several " new " items for being bad. " no-one pays us back for the labor, do they" Have a great week and good luck Sir.

As far as the fan I got an electric fan from a mini cooper it fits great and seems to keep it cool
