Ahh the joy's of working on 50 + year old cars, trucks and vans. Yes you can weld it, but may I suggest a bigger drill bit, almost the size of the bolt. Drill all the way down the length of the bolt and then run a tap down and clean out the threads. It has worked many times for me, and then you can use the intake you want. And if that don't work for you, there is always JB weld for manifolds. Just a couple of suggestions, good luck to you and have a good weekend. And as always, keep the content coming.

Dang. That was a pain in the butt. At this point drill and tap for new studs. A tad bigger and not so deep.
The last time I worked on a straight six manifold, it broke in 2 when I tried to take a fitting out 🙄
