Ive been waiting for the reveal of the 1300 GSA for almost 2 years, and im deeply dissapointed, the ggod part is that now i dont have any doubts about the bike to get, and i will get the Africa Twin adventure sports100%
I just bought the AT 2024 /DCT/EERA- don't worry it is the best bike I ever had (I also already had 2 GS...). Right decision - look forward to this great bike!
@@markuspirkner8492 awesome! are you going to install Lone Rider luggage? im a bit concerned about the mini bags in the crash bars, idk if they fit well/look well, im looking forward to buy mine, also with DCT, and go and explore Europe :)
I know some states in the USA have legalized Marijuana but it looks the engineering department at BMW has spent way to much time in those states with this bike
I get that it's a tank, and it's probably going to prove to be an absolutely phenomenal touring bike. BUT, I just cannot get past how fugly it appears to my eyes. It looks like a massive refrigerator for those long rides to Starbucks, and a place to store the 6-pack of frozen macciatos on the way back.
@@thamer_alajmi that’s all fine and good. Doesn’t mean I have to like how it looks. But then I’m not likely to buy one, so my subjective opinion here probably matters little 😊
With the release of that behemoth, I’m sure it has just increased the value of my GSA 1250 Rallye HP., as it will be more desirable now that not too many are keen on this 1300 beast.
The design sure seems to be polarizing, but I love it! Makes it look like a real tank that can go anywhere and do anything... and like you said, there's going to be a ton of awesome 3rd party accessories that will go very nicely with those fairing mounts
I do not understand why manufacturers keep making non waterproof bags that are meant to be attached external to the bike. We all ride in the rain at times and I want my gear to stay dry
I have a blacked out 1250 GSA and love it. Have just ordered my new 1300. The GS 1300 is currently the top selling adventure bike and this new GSA will outsell all other manufacturers. No matter the different views on its looks at the moment ….. minds will change, the current 1250 will eventually look dated and that’s change.
I love the design of the new Adventure. BMW has done a lot of things right here. The design may be too innovative for many here, but the motorbike will find its buyers.
You know like everybody else I was like wtf. And now the more I see different pics. It kind of looks less shocking ! It is going to be a phenomenal beast.
SO glad I managed to secure the last (allegedly) 1250 Triple black adventure in the U.K! las week. Was waiting for this but had to go for it before I lucked out and BOY am I glad i did! I think the residuals on 1250's got a little stonger last week... SHOCKINGLY ill informed design! Maybe design something to hide that bulky flat square thing between the seat & handlebars?
I have just purchased a 2024 R1250 GSA Rallye. Have also just ordered the Large MotoCase, looking forward to taking delivery and mounting this to my bike. Very keen to see what hardcase panniers lonerider releases in the not too distant future.
Am i the only person who likes this bike. I will get one for sure. It will be interesting to see how the crash bars will do. I would have preferred an upper bar but let’s wait and see.
I like it. It's different, yes. But I think it has potential! A rack for the softluggage and some proper hard cases would be nice! Due to the large ventilation ducts on the sides, it could be tricky to attach the small side bags to the oem attachment points 🤔
I have been a loyal customer of BMW for 25 years, only motorcycle brand I have owned. What a disappointment, I can’t understand how they could mess it up so bad.
I witnessed the introduction live as well on the 5'th, and as so many my first reaction was as well 'oh dear'. But after a few days now I do start to feel that there is definitively 'something' about this new GSA. I would not be surprised that eventually this will become again a huge bestseller. Heck my next bike might be one when I replace my current 1250 GS.
I think...,; in a year people will have calmed down & think this *armor* is beautiful! When it came to the Apple Watch Ultra, all the influencers were screaming: too big, too heavy, too clunky!!! And now? Everyone is wearing it...! I think the new one is just great, unique & great... it's just charismatic & I'd like to have it 🤷♂️🙂
If I wanted a Unimog, I’d stick with the Mercedes manufactured vehicle. Since I travel by motorcycle, I’ll stick with my 1200GSA until it has no legs left. Then I’ll be looking for a gently used 1250GSA.
When I got my R1200 GSA they called it a tank…guess let engineers enough time and yup, ya da! That said it grows on you, and if the tech holds true it will be quite the tourist machine.
Talk about a massive overreaction. Sure the side panel on the tank isn’t beautiful but it sure is functional. TBH after a few days of looking at it I think I’m ordering one. That trophy version is beautiful!
I thought it was hideous when I first saw it in the reveal. Now that the shock is subsiding, I’m starting to like the look. Hope to get one in 2025 with ASA! Ride safe…
Bought your lonerider cases for our GSA 1200... Definately want to traid it for the new 1300 GSA and can't wait for it to be available in the dealerships. Would LOVE to have Lone Rider cases and top case for the new 1300 GSA. Hope that's in the future Regards from Florida USA.
I must say, that I disagree with most of the commentary here and have just ordered my 1300 GSA in Tripple Black. @Alex - will LoneRider do an updated MotoCase for the GSA with a USB-C power connector?
For the tank bags, try spaying with suede shoe protection as it prevents water damage to suede shoes, I can only 'assume' a good dose on the Tank Bags would do the trick
It kind of seems like the main group of people who hate this motorcycle is the traditional GS rider! I freaking love this bike, both the regular 1300 and the GSA. And I’ve never been a fan of the looks of the GS lineup before.
I own 1250 and was very disappinted with 1300, especially the smaller back end, but also general looks (just average and not nearly as unique or intimidating as 1250). Now this adventure version I like much more. Its much nore a GS that regular model. However, Im not buying it for the same reasons I didnt buy adventure before. Its too big and too (top?) heavy. I dont need 30 litera of tank. If regular model had this design and back end, that would be a winner for me.
Similar to you.... the look of the latest incarnation of the GSA is growing on me slowly. I'm sure you'll come up with some nice set of accessories which will make this bike look cool! I really like your design of the standard GS! Keep us posted!
They managed to drop 26 lb off the new GS to 523, but the new GSA is 2 lb heavier at 593 lb. Obviously better wind protection for on road cruising, but looks top heavier and less off road capable than the 1250 GSA. Only riding it will tell the true story though.
And if you compare it to the oil cooled R1200GSA I own, the new R1300GSA is 33lbs heavier! I was really hoping for something lighter than my bike and less…. Ugly.
maybe some "plugs" or "fillers" for locations like tank bag attachment point on the tank to make it smooth or cleaner look. Hells yes please on the lard luggage!!!!
It shouldn't be up to the third party innovators and after market firms to make your new £20K + GS look passable. This is about as expensive an off road/tourer as you can get and it is unacceptable that almost everyone thinks its hideous. Looks are obviously subjective but not THIS subjective. BMW have contracted the post modern disease of making everything ugly. Well, ugly isn't the new beautiful, it's the same old ugly. They started with their cars and it seems to have spread to Motorrad. It's really not good enough.
Ugly or not, in its class - bigger adv bikes, Ducati, KTM , Harley and Triumph- BMW has the most extended network of dealers. It matters a lot for the future buyers. And yes, you are right. "What beep is that?!" At least in Europe, right now, from my understanding, the demand is very poor, just as poor as for the simple GS. Perhaps some discounts will appear.
I wonder will there be a new F900GSA in the near future? The GS completely redesigned but the GSA only engine and frame... I hope the don't walk the 1300 way....
That bike is hideous. But I was already not a BMW fan, so I’m definitely not the target market. Never mind developing new products for that thing. I’d love to see LoneRider develop some products for other adventure bikes, especially Triumph Tigers.
Great video production Alex, lighting was perfect and the format is really engaging - good work as always. Now... the 'Plastic Panzer', regardless of my spoof video (still waiting for RUclips to ban it, Facebook already has) I actually like the new design. It's funky, brash and controversial, which is probably the intention. I also think the tank bag attachment is a great idea. You guys will need to get creative with this one, for sure. I'm guessing you're going to make pannier versions of the new MotoCase, which would look awesome IMO. Cheers, Nick TBB
I think you are brave to swim against the tide of negativity. It’s shows complete immaturity when someone reacts so quickly to something new and innovative which is something BMW have been doing that for years. These old guys thinking they can sway the market with their “I’m not buying it" when they know they really are because their simply isn’t a better bike on the market.
This parody of a bike is the best proof that the adventure “class” has lost every connection with reality. Shrinking Willy? Get yourself a crossbreed between a tank and a tractor and still never dare to leave the tarmac. One advantage though: We now know in advance that the head on Beemers rider is too full of himself to greet back.
After seeing the 1300 GSA launch on Friday, I went and bought a new 1250 GSA Triple Black on Saturday
Congrats.
I already did that after reveal of the non adventure version 🤓
I’m not to worried about the reselling value of the 1250 adv 😂
Wise man.
Best pick..
more for me.i got the gsa 1250 2022 and now buying the gsa 1300🫶🏻🫶🏻
It's been a long wait but at least now I've seen it I can cross it off my wishlist.
facts
I hit a deer and totaled my 23’ GS1250 back in May and just replaced it with a 24’ GSA1250. Glad I did before they sell out.
As a current '21 GSA owner, my initial thought was WTF? My reaction is still, WTF. I don't get it. Not one bit. Not a fan at all.

BMW off road adventure refrigerator. It's like someone stuck a headlight on a photocopier.

ducati team had a party the night after the gsa 1300 introduction.
Not only DUCATI - the HONDA team is still partying.....🤣😂🤩
You know like everybody else I was like wtf. And now the more I see different pics. It kind of looks less shocking ! It is going to be a phenomenal beast.
Thank God, I will buy one for myself
I would like to meet the designer to ask him if he was on medication to draw something like this.
cubism is back in fashion
Look like a Lego acid trip gone wrong. Pu🤮

It looks amazing and rugged and futuristic. I love it!

yea, as you said "It grows on you", LIKE MOLDY CHEESE!, my 1200gsa is 18 years old and its a keeper!!!
Thank you so much for the short walkthrough of the “ears”, attachment points etc.
Exactly what I was after!
In Italy they are laughing their asses off😎

The disappointment of the decade.
To say that is to avoid every Honda released over the same period.
The overstatement of the decade 🤪
can t wait to buy it

A adventure toaster!
That could definitely use some different bags. Some top loading bags instead of the clam shell side loaders.
lone rider head light protect and rackless moto bags for the new gsa but i bet your on the case !

each drop is 1500 euro ? more ?
I just bought a new 1250 adventure because I’m not to sure this one will grow on me…
We’ll see in 5 years.
Most riders, say that the 1200 gs when it first came out was an ugly tractor, the Adventure 1300 now surely fits the bill. Ugly tractor.
Bags with zippers on an "adventure" bike, shown in the dirt on promotional pictures. Well, this says it all... :-)
Finalmente una vera adventure che non somiglia a una panigale rialzata ma una vera jeep. Complimenti top
I will not buy anything BMW again after the 1300GSA Silverado they made…No thanks
I’ll keep my Trophy GSA as they called it final version…

They can’t be serious, does it come with a tow bar? I’m keeping my 1250.
Nope, I will wait for the next update, the one that wil not look like a Transformer.
Two words......vomit inducing.
Me likes it!
GS was allways ugly but great for ride, i think that single seat conversion will be good thing to do
This motorcycle looks so futuristic. It's not bad. It's looks little bit strange but it's perfect.
New 1300 is a joke.
I like it. Big and beefy.
Was it designed by Salvador Dali by any chance
Its like the new 1300GS everyone hates it, complaining but then buys it. 😂
I appreciate it more and more
Alter die ist potthässlich ich bleib bei meiner 1250er avd bis sie zusammen fällt!
Looking forward to your creative new products guys.
I don’t like previous gs. This i like it:). Looks diferent
liked from Pakistan
Happy I ordered a 1300GS, should arrive any day.
its kinda growing on me
