@@ernishant13 Great question. The Tank 500 hybrid powertrain has too many inconsistencies and odd driving characteristics in my opinion (although good specs on paper). But the interior presentation and luxury feel are nice. This is more of a basic but user-friendly package. Very practical and spacious inside as well. It's also quite a lot cheaper. Hope that helps.
Hi, Thanks for the review. I am more concerned about the gearbox. Some people said it's like an elastic, at start it has no acceleration and then suddenly a good amount of acceleration. How did you feel from stop start?
It's petrol initially, but LDV are or shoulf be bringing in the diesel later in 2025. That's been confirmed by LDV. The new diesel later in 2025 is a MH 48v 2ltr Bi turbo unit with 160 Kw & 500Nm. Tynan motors have the diesel on their initial Dealers Products Guide .
@JarrodVains-fl8ly it appears the loss of the diesel may only be temporary. A couple of dealers I've contacted have heard that it should appear later in 2025 as a MH oiler . LDV initially had it on their website & so did Tynan Motors . LDV can confirm if it's changed again
Any comments on the support from the brand? I heard that LDV had some issues in the past with rust and warranty claims. It would be good to see if they improved. As for the vehicle, I wish it had anchor points for child seats on the third row and an option for captain style chairs on the second row. Great content! Thanks for posting.
In some countries of Latin America, including Peru where I live, there are several models from LDV which here is known as Maxus. At least their pickups and SUVs are very well built and there is no complaint from customers, which is a good sight for the company as a trusted one. I hope it works for you.
Yeah the official rating of 9.4L100km isn't the best. But at least it has more power and torque now so it does cruise a bit easier, potentially saving fuel during long trips.
2.4 metric ton truck with turbo petrol power only? Okay. Would love to see the turbo housing after lets say 75,000km (5 years at 15,000km per year) on 91 RON fuel if it survives that punishment. Putting that aside, the design looks good for what it is.
We need Daewoo Comeback - Daewoo Damas and Daewoo Labo, 4WD rival Suzuki Jimmy 4WD (G-Class Brabus Style), (Facelift), 6-Manual or 6-CVT (Upgrades) (2025 Land Cruiser FJ70 Style) (Facelift) - Daewoo Lacetti Premiere, (Facelift) LED Headlights rival Honda City, Toyota Vios - Alpheon VS300, Old Engine, With 6-Manual or 7-CVT
Hard enough to get parts for chinese cars, and rhey change them all the time - it's going to be a nightmare as they get older, if anyone bothers to fix them at all. You get what you pay for...
indeed, wait times for MG spares from there supplier is like 9 weeks now, so much so that wrecking yards are being raided for any MG parts they can get. yeash, so much so that insurance companies are simply getting smash repair companies to write the vehicles off.
@@Drakesy I owned lots of euros when they were good, but no I wouldn't buy a new one. But at least in the case of euros there's a big variety of aftermarket stuff you can get. Nobody makes aftermarket parts for these Chinese shitters and the genuine ones are surprisingly expensive.
There is a mistake in the specs mentioned at 1:33. It says engine power at 550rpm. The correct peak power rpm is 5500rpm. Apologies for the confusion.
what would you say as compared to Tank 500

@@drivingenthusiastaustralia Great feedback. 👍🏼
Great review as always mate - the D90 has always been a solid value proposition and this looks to have improved in some key areas.

Looks pretty cool really stands out in that colour choice
Considering the cx90 is inline 6 petrol or diesel and has better fuel consumption for both , Ldv has to do better.

Was there a reason why they dropped the diesel top spec? Assume towing not ideal with limited torque

Why do you compare it to Toyota Fortuner when it is closer in dimensions to Toyota Prado?
What was the fuel economy I couldn't see where you mentioned it
Does the 4wd have low range?
Can you compare the 2025 Mahindra XUV700 Black Edition to the LDV D90?
No comparison ldv wins
Does it come with free balaclava so nobody recognises you driving it ?
😂
Does it have 360 camera? When i looked it looked like it didn't which is a shame.
No surround-view camera on this example.
That's a miss - the 360 camera view has been available on the higher speed utes for a year or two. HUD would be great to have too.
The fuel consumption is not that great hope a hybrid comes out to drop the fuel usage

I'd rather have the Ssangyong Rexton 😅.
More power and torque yet 0 to 100 is unchanged
Hmmm
Electric cars are the bests
The difference between Chinese and Japanese is only in spare parts.
Gearbox is gonna be a issue for some people.
Very slow for 250 hp, somehow the Santa Fe hybrid with 230 hp is still faster
What is this? Toyota Fortuner? 😂
I have the 2024 D90 and it's the worst car I have driven

Um the Chinese are the biggest manufacturer of auto spare parts just a delay in shipping freight to get it to Oz

Every time you point at stuff your thumb is like pushed wayy in to your hand.
If they want to sell them it has to be diesel!!!!!!
