  • Although Hinduism is not often thought about as a violent religion, there have been increasing reports of Hindu gangs violently persecuting other minority groups. This video explores Hinduism's scriptures and personalities to explain how there can be no justification for any kind of oppression of innocent groups.

I'm sanatna dharmi from Russia. As far as I know Hinduism doesn't promote violence or such kind of offensive things. Of course, whether one person constantly irritates the another person (by chance he is a hindu) at the same he leaves a derogatory term so he may be called violator. People often shrug off the cause of issue/problem.
What I mean is, Hinduism has no place for violence.
    Happy greetings from Russia 🇷🇺.

When a Muslim man was lynched on rumors that he ate beef, a magazine belonging to Hindu terror outfit justified the killing by saying that Vedas say kill those who slaughter cows. Whether Hinduism is peaceful or violent can be gauged from the fact on how it treats its own Shudras leave aside what it says about other religions, every 18 minutes a crime is committed against a Dalit and all these has scriptural sanction. Some Hindus also say that Hindus don’t use verses from their scripture to justify killing of non-Hindus
      Let’s take a look 👀
Brahma Purana 106.121 “There is a hell named Gudapaka. It is full of boiling eddies of treacle and molasses. A man responsible for mixture in castes is thrown into it. He is burnt therein.”
      Yajur Veda 13.12,
”O king, make progress in thy duty of administration, extend happiness to the virtuous. O terrible chastiser, burn down the irreligious foes. O splendid person, humiliate and consume utterly like dried up stubble, him, who encourages our foe.”
      Atharva Veda 12.5.62
Rend, rend to bits, rend through and through, scorch and consume and burn to dust, the one who rejects the Vedas
      Atharva Veda 12.2.23

I love this channel! I'm a Hindu "convert" (not initiated into any tradition but attend 2 temples) from the UK and your videos are so helpful and educational. I'll watch your videos and even though I know all of the things you talk about, just the way you organise the topics and the way the video progresses is really helpful for organising my thoughts and I end up feeling more enlightened after them. Thanks for doing this! And if you don't mind me asking, what's your background? You sound English but you could use a voice actor to read the script, were you born into Hinduism or found it like me?

If a woman should not grant her man his desire, he should bribe her. If she still does not grant him his desire, he should hit her with a stick or with his hand, and overcome her, saying: 'With power, with glory I take away your glory!' Thus she becomes inglorious. As an Indian Muslim, I think there are many philosophical lessons to be learned from Hinduism, as well as pretty much all other religions. I wish more Muslims were open to studying Vedanta, but most are brainwashed to think that only Islam is valid to study. I think it is necessary to study all other perspectives to approach my own religion properly, but that seems to be a minority position (or the majority is just scared to suggest otherwise).

@Aryan Singh well, Islam was established during this Kali Yuga, so all the more to it's wrongness in teachings. There are a few good points, but those are almost universally accepted. But if we look at The Revelation of "Jesus Christ" on the deception of the masses and all, we can find at least some of those characteristics in many leaders and factions, especially Judaism, Christianity, Islam, British Empire, USA, Israel, Pot, Stalin, Putin, and more. Not to say this makes everyone from those faiths or countries and nations "evil," there are members who actually strive to do good and reject the negative actions those teach or advocate. However, we still have masses that are in denial of those characteristics to such groups and individuals. A lot of my fellow Americans think the USA is the greatest, but if they bothered to research false flag ops, shit like MK ULTRA and other illegal programs the government did, even if the FBI wasn't authorized for MK ULTRA, CIA for many they did, etc.

When I first read The Bhagavad Gita I was very disappointed. I just couldn't fathom Krishna's encouragement to Arjuna to continue with war. I only looked into the Gita after hearing its praise from Gandhi. And Gandhi was a huge advocate of peace!!!! This was the beginning of my spiritual journey although I didn't know it. Just reading the Gita starts something deep inside even if you don't understand. I loved peace but I hated war. But Krishna tells Arjuna that his words sound like wisdom but he's just feeling some inner weakness. (I loved "peace" because I've always struggled to feel any kind of strength at all. I didn't like confrontation. Arjuna's words sounded like wisdom to me!) If Arjuna backed out of the war at that point, it would still go on. He would just be trying to get out of his duty. And, of course, Krishna describes much more about the meaning of our lives. Twenty years after first reading the Bhagavad Gita, it seems so obvious why a great man like Gandhi loved it and used it as a manual for his life and actions.

You have to also look at the Gita as a metaphor or analogy. Arjuna represents every man, questioning his very existence. Krishna is instructing him to fight his extended family members, who represent negative human traits, like selfishness, greed, etc. You can see this as encouragement to control the senses, to win the internal fight against your own impulses. Your impulses can be your worse enemy if you don't control yourself. This is the beauty or the Gita. Om Namo Narayana

I've agreed to everything you've said but I feel you have missed out on a point. The modern day saffron terror does not exist. The leftist Indian payed media is blowing it out of proportion. A random person attacks another random person and coincidentally if the attacker is a Hindu the media makes it a religious attack. And a little violence does probably exists and it still is a defence mechanism. Islamic rule has suppressed Indian culture and tortured Indian citizens right from 1000AD, so you know what I mean. And Sanatana dharma is secular and tolerant by default. Sanatana Dharma is a large collection of tolerant belief systems, unlike the Abrahamic ones.

I disagree. There are Hindu organised gangs which commit disproportionate violent acts. Perhaps the frequency and pervasiveness may be exaggerated by the leftist media, but it is not a figment of someone's imagination. The video makes clear that such instances are simply human responses to human grievances and not religiously motivated.

Dharma is all about protecting righteousness & keeping on doing one's duty even in conflicting situations on the basis of "Minimization of Overall Harm" for "Maximum Number of Humans (& others) for "Maximum Amount of Time".
No religion can flourish with Islam. Islam needs to be dealt with Mutual-Respect to Minimize the Overall Harm. The same applies to other Abrahmic Faiths.

      3. Who supported Khilafat movement, Moplah riots, Direct action day & partition of India.

      5. Who refused to save Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev & Rajguru from their execution.

@@theblackone_ Gandhi was no doubt controversial and he divides opinions. But in a video that discusses the place of violence in HInduism, omitting Gandhi would not be right. While politically (and in other areas) he may have been flawed. His commitment to Ahimsa and the inspiration he drew from the Gita cannot be ignored. The resistance of Indians to the British has left its mark in world history and whatever anyone thinks about Gandhi he has to receive credit for this. I am not somebody who insists on drawing binary conclusions on people or historical events.

You do know islam allows the owning of slaves and S*x slaves right? It literally allows you to own another person. It's said in the Quran itself. So idk what you're trying to prove.
Quran 4:24 - "Also ˹forbidden are˺ married women-except ˹female˺ captives in your possession. This is Allah’s commandment to you. Lawful to you are all beyond these-as long as you seek them with your wealth in a legal marriage, not in fornication. Give those you have consummated marriage with their due dowries. It is permissible to be mutually gracious regarding the set dowry. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise."
Plus the caste system and the way it has been practiced is not what Sanatana Dharma teaches. The manusmriti (a book written by humans) changed the caste system from what it was meant to be. It was never meant to treat people unequal.

When a lower caste adopts the occupation of a higher caste, the king ought to deprive him of all his property and expel him from his kingdom. (Manusmriti, X: 96)
If a Shudra (lowest caste member) dares to give moral lessons to a Brahmin, the king is to get him punished by pouring hot oil in his ear and mouth. (Manusmriti, VII: 272)
Similarly, if a Shudra occupies the same seat as a Brahmin, he is to be punished by branding his waist (with hot rod) or getting his buttocks cut! (Manusmriti, VIII: 281)
Even if the husband is morally degraded, engaged in an affair with another woman and is devoid of knowledge and other qualities, the wife must treat him like a god. (Manusmriti, V: 154)
Women should never be allowed by their guardians to act independently. (Manusmriti, IX: 2)
If a person of lower varna (caste) has sexual intercourse with a woman of higher varna, with or without her consent, he is to be killed. (Manusmriti, VIII: 366)
If a Brahmin (highest caste) abuses a Shudra (lowest caste), he is to be fined mildly, but if a Shudra abuses a Brahmin, he is to be killed. (Manusmriti, VIII: 267/268)
If a Brahmin (highest caste) kills a Shudra (lowest caste), he is to perform penance by killing a cat, frog, owl or crow, etc. (Manusmriti, XI: 131)
Non-believers, including freethinkers, rationalists and Buddhists, are not to be entertained respectfully as guests; though, mercifully, they may be given food. (Manusmriti, MS IV: 30)
The families of non-believers are destroyed sooner than later. (Manusmriti, MS III: 65)
If a woman should not grant her man his desire, he should bribe her. If she still does not grant him his desire, he should hit her with a stick or with his hand, and overcome her, saying: 'With power, with glory I take away your glory!' Thus she becomes inglorious. (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 6.4.7)
It is the highest duty of the woman to burn herself after her husband. (Brahma Purana 80.75)
When a woman, proud of her relations [or abilities] deceives her husband (with another man), then the king should [ensure that] she be torn apart by dogs in place much frequented by people. And the evil man should be burnt in a bed of red-hot iron. (Manusmriti, MS VIII: 371/372)
Offering presents (to a woman), romping (with her), touching her ornaments and dress, sitting with her on a bed, all these acts are considered adulterous acts. (Manusmriti, MS VIII: 357)

Kali is depicted that way as the demon king gets boon from God that he may not be killed by anyone except women as he assumes women to be weak, and that every drop of blood falling on earth should produce /replicate one more form of himself. He thinks that he can then gain supremacy of the world and heaven as even God could not touch him with his boon. So, the Supreme power has to come in the form of a super women which kills the demon king and licks up the blood to avoid dropping the blood on earth. The Narasimha awatar has to come that way as the demon king gets the boon of not being killed by human or animal or God, by weapons, during day or night, neither inside house or outside etc. And the supreme God send his power as Narsimha incarnate of half human half lion, to kill the demon by tearing with his finger nails, at the twilight hour at the enterance of his house. These stories are to indicate the benevolence of God in giving boons, but also the supremacy of God to eliminate the individual who turns evil with his powers.

I think he's aware of the Purana lore bro. A person who knows about Ramakrishna Paramhansa is bound to know about the Purana.
