Christianity and Islam the only way? A Hindu response

  • Abrahamic religions, unlike Hinduism, often make exclusive Truth claims, stating that unless we subscribe to their faith we will be condemned for eternity. This video explores the strikingly obvious problems when making such absurd claims.
The issues can be summarized as the:
    1. The Problem of an Unfair Test
2 The Problem of Virtue and Human Experience
    3. The Problem of Insufficient evidence
In analyzing these problems, we will see how Christianity and Islam have theologies which are forced on reality, while Hinduism has a philosophy utterly in tune with the way life actually is.

code 516 well it's was long before Manipur merge with India. During king's rule. I guess it was horrible, a dark era for us. Cause the one who spread it, not only made king convert into Hindu but also torture people who oppose it, burn our holy book to ashes, made our ancestors drink water used to wash the one's feet calling it as charam Amrit. Bond of indeginous races of Manipur(hilly n plain people who were brother) got broken. Since hilly refused to follow Hinduism, n they were announced as untouchable type by the one who spread. Mix holy books were created adding Hindu ideologies with our original. Original become minority. Cultural or traditional function like marriage attire n way get modified, traditional way where death body were used to be buried were changes burnt. When plain people were Force to become Hindu, hilly people got no choice because of sudden change in way of life(way of life where hilly n plain exchanges good etc) since they can't come don't to plain cause they were look down as untouchable so they convert into Christianity. Untouchable type who doesn't exist in here were born. Brahmin come to exist. Muslim here were not indeginous cause they are refugees for war whom our king gave permission for settlement. Unlike Muslim, here Hinduism keep spreading fast. Generation after generation, we become someone or races who don't know our own identity. I'm not Hindu nor christian, but I know Hindu's Mahabharata, ramayam etc n birth of Jesus but I don't any about my own original mythological or epic or god related stories. It is said that type of Indian is it, who don't know who to speak or read n write Hindi. But us, many became a meitei who don't know how to read n write our own original script. It's a shame but we are helpless. It's spreading of Hinduism become the root of all Manipur issues, issues of ILP etc cause after several generation we decided to revive our original among us. Several protest suffering we faced in life. Life becoming harder n harder cause of it. Just like British occupied India n Indian find hard to free themselves, we find hard to revive ourselves. Hinduism is one of the oldest religions so as ours too. But in our place Hinduism is new. We don't want to exist as a race without identity nor we don't want a fake identity which wasn't ours. We aren't Hindu, so we dont to become or known as Indian Hindu from Manipur. We want to be known as Indian meitei from Manipur. It's hard bro. Just put yourself in our place n see n feel our pain. U will understand us more.

*What is special about being a Hindu?*
      1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted
      2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik
      3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak.
      4) You dont want to worship idols- no problem u can focus on Nirguna Brahman.
      5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc are core Hindu schools
      6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it.
      7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure !
😎 You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead
      9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest.
      10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition.
      11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi.
      12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy.
      13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic !
      14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship).
      15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy
      16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan.
      17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !
      18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped.
      19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family)
      20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival.
Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year.
      21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu.
      22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved.
      23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu!
      24) You know that Hinduism is a way of life, with considerable freedom.
      25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe!
      26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint.
      27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily)
This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!!
There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell " Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah" Let the knowledge come to us from every direction.

I was born in a Hindu family, I knew precisely nothing much about Hinduism. Now I know how to look at things the symbolic way, the more I learn each day, the more modern I start becoming, the more logic I start seeing in things.
My dad is 55, and is still studying astrology and has gained quite a lot of knowledge about what is written in Veds.
Now I can question him openly about why we have a certain ritual, he doesn't mind. Rather he gives me a logical answer.
For eg, he explained to me the reason of keeping a fast on Janam ashtami is to detoxify the body to face the change in weather etc.
The more I question, the more knowledge I gain about the veds and the more modern I become day by day.

I am a Muslim and love your channel that I'm learning a lot. Something always disturbs me when Islam is being unfair to non Muslims and very bias towards disbelievers and belittle them & threaten them with eternal hellfire just for being a non Muslim I mean Satan threatens his disbelievers with eternal suffering and believers with everything they want so where is a logic having a God like that. When I ask Imams for answer they don't have any logical answer & everyone has made their own version of Islam in their head. Every time when someone quote something offensive about Islam they often repeat the same dialogue that you're misquoting it.
I am still a Muslim but, I'm non practicing & leaving Islam isn't as easy as any other religion as it's associated with a lot of things and Muslims around you are not tolerant towards an apostate. Despite of living in London people have the fear so imagine how much scared anyone would be in Muslim countries where they get death penalty for leaving Islam.
Studying more about Hinduism and learning that how accepting version of God Hinduism has and basically all Gods are part of one God.

    • @04adityabombale70
      @04adityabombale70 6 лет назад +21

Prabal Sinha what you know about caste system? When caste system was made it was not made by birth it was by the profession of the people. Hindu scriptures dont say anything about caste system by birth. And this is also taught in school that caste system is not made by birth. You will find it in 7th std history book of indian school. But unfortunately people made it by birth. Caste system was just the name of the profession of the people . But today we cant called doctor as a caste because it is not by birth. Beacause today we follow caste system by birth.

    • @04adityabombale70
      @04adityabombale70 6 лет назад +5

Prabal Sinha Caste is what a person is identified with based on one’s parents’ Caste! So, if one has parents and they are ‘identified’ as so-and-so caste, then the new born has nothing to do, but be identified so!
In Sanaatana Dharma, it is said that, one is born without anything and one takes away nothing when that one dies! So, any person is born without a Caste! But, for the sake of various understandings and schemes, recording the Caste of people has been there in all parts of the World (not just India or not just Sanaatana Dharma), even in today’s age, by respective Governments. Some Nations record ethnicity, religion, profession etc. In India, Govt. insists on recording Caste of a person at Birth for all the people who are registered as Hindu in the Religion column. So, as per Govt. of India, no Hindu is born without a Caste. If one does not register oneself as Hindu, it is usually considered fraud!
Caste, is a Social practice and has nothing much to do with religion! Caste is typically associated with Birth, Family, Region and Profession! It is usually a combination of these! For example, consider the following Caste identifications:
Niyogi (A sect under the Telugu people who are usually identified as Brahmana)Rythu (Farmer)Kavi (Poet and Writer)Pandita (Learned Person, usually with excellence in a specialization, identified by authorized institutions)Karanam (One of the FIVE principals of a village - in Village Panchayat System )
The point is, all this can be attributed to ONE single person. Based on the context that person would perform the duties of that particular Caste.

Simple and straightforward.

avinash mishra... It was never a sin in God's true religion (now known as Islam in the Kalki Avatar era) to explore and seek knowledge. In fact the first word of the final revelation (the Quran) of God is 'Iqraa'...which means Read ( ie. Learn or Seek
      Knowledge).

I've had the chance to debate David Wood a few times :-D, you are well rounded sir! My favorite argument was the Problem of an Unfair Test, clearly people have different temperaments and personalities and levels of knowledge and intellect, and perceive reality relatively. I would love to get feedback on my six arguments for universalism and also the questions about multiplicity as a unity question that I asked Shabir Ally, I would love to get your feedback. Given the relative nature of people and cultures and civilizations and religions, I have found myself on the path of Jnana Yoga and Advaita Vedanta. Would be interested in a future video about your journey as well. BTW, great scholar @ Bart Ehrman

Stories play big role in childhood, that is why we have Puranas. But once you hit puberty, you need to give him teaching of Upnishad and Geeta. There is one channel "Vivekananda Samiti" which has videos of seminar( teachings of Veda and Upnishad) conducted in IIT's . My own personal opinion- With the teachings of Abrahmic religions, one can surely become good man , but it is also a great possibility he may hate other religions. But with the teachings of Hinduism, he will never hate any other religion.

You are welcome. But I suggest you to understand what Shiva actually is. People have distorted a lot of things. Shiva is the liberating aspect of God, after Birth and Survival. And people are also confused between Mahadeva and Shiva. From my assumption, what you are suggesting here perhaps is Mahadeva. Deva of Deva and the supreme of Devas. Shiva on the other hand is the original source of this Deva form, beyond any shape and size and one aspect of Brahman 😊

zoraida ortiz And who said you that a definite Relegion should have definite prophet? Now comes to prophet,"VED" which is written by OUR RISHI /ARYANS has said to be OUR TRUE RELEGION BOOKS.but today WE HINDUS have no time to read it and no interest to enter deep into OUR RELEGIOUS concept, then why to blame?if you're calling about that prophet who spreads THE PARTICULAR RELEGION ,then WE have many,SRI CHAITANYA,SWAMY DAYAND SARASWATI,SWAMY VIVEKANAND etc WHO a have same ideologies unlike Muslims who has separate ideologies like sia and sunnah.so as Christianity has Protestant and Roman Catholic.now tell who has A DEFINITE PROPHET?or you will prefer prophet by name or by IDEOLOGY?now I will not explain you further how prophet Muhammad changed other's Relegion into Islam under the power of sword and how OUR prophet spreaded OUR RELEGION.
OK listen, you're right that HINDU is not the name of RELEGION.but the RELEGION here you belong is "SANATAN VAIDIC DHARM".yes THIS is what YOUR RELEGION'S TRUE name is.VEDAS has all the kind of things about RULES,medicines,GOD, worship.and what WE know about is 33 crores of DEVTAS.
But VED tells WE ALL worship to OM "THE NIRAKAR" THE PARAMATMA.this what our RELEGIOUS belief should be.but the way WE HINDU worship is to GOD.so where GOD actually originated from.yes from THE NIRAKAR/PARATMATMA(THE ORIGIN OF SRI BRAHMA,SRI VISHNU,SRI MAHESWAR)SO where's the wrong?WE indirectly worship to OM/THE PARAMATMA,because whenever WE try to worship any GOD/GODDESS ,1ST WE MUST TOOK THE NAME OF "OM".now you must have the idea,WHOM we actually worship.
Bro,last thing I have to tell you that OUR RELEGION is not only oldest but also the CULTURE as well which is RELEGION according to you.ofcourse our culture is too THE OLDEST.BUT hopefully you have understood all the difference between OUR RELEGION SANATAN VAIDIC DHARM AND OUR CULTURE VAIDIC SANSKRTI.
Also you must have another doubt about JAATI/CASTE.WHY It's written in VED?It was provided because it was necessary which PEOPLE will do what job.but the "untouchability" thing never has written in VED.rather it has written, the ones have the knowledge about something belongs to that particular knowledgeable CASTE irrespective of how he looks or colour he belongs to.IN TODAY, PEOPLE worshipping in temple called BRAHMIN,soldiers are called KSHTRIYAS,people who works for ECONOMICAL SYSTEM are called VAISHYA,and all engineer, doctor, ministers, are coming under SHUDRAS.now you can't blame THE RELEGION just because some people believed and started the touchability system which was never ever existed IN OUR SANATAN VAIDIC DHARM.This is HOW and WHY OUR RELEGION IS GREATEST,OLDEST AND BEST a well.so as OUR VAIDIC CULTURE about which you were saying.Hopefully I successfully explained all of your doubts.
Last of all your puny RELEGION all started after thousand of years when HINDUISM is started.and we have seen how Christians who have human GOD/no GOD and Muslims who have no GOD/ALLAH who have no shape or they dont kno HE/SHE exists or not but they believed a rapist prophet's hallucinations written instructions in a book.
Same Christianity said sun revolved around earth and pope killed poor Galeleo and socrates like big scientists and Jesus Christ returned to earth again after his death but they haven't any proof ,and Islam says earth is like flat.and heaven is just like a blanket that could be snatched and prophet Muhammad went a to meet Allah by sitting on a flying donkey,.ha ha ha ha really your books have full of comedy science and blind belief is just the definition of your RELEGIOUS book and through gurssing that we can easily say where you'll go to hell or so called heaven ,ha ha ha ha.

zoraida ortiz heaven and hell these only 2 thing you Christians know according to bible.and your cheater popes always lied you and kept you in dark.so you can't see the LIGHT OF DIVINE AND ETERNITY.
HINDUISM believes in KARMA ,your work decides your fate not your worshipping idol.still IT also taught how to become nearer to THE GOD to get HIS BLESSINGS and most above all (even above then heaven),THE MOKSH. this is just a out of syllabus wurestion for both christianity and Islam.1st go and study about THE MOKSH then come here to reply buffoons.you know nothing about THE REAL REASON OF LIFE you Cheater abrahamic relegions.your books have written by normal peoples who cheated you in the name of RELEGION ,they never have ever did spiritual practices rather only made fabricated stories to make you fool.so I feel pity on abrahamic religion.
So I am explaining you in detail about HINDUISM again.wether you believe it or not as I even don't expect you to bleieves as you only believe cheating and fabricating stories.
actually in HINDUISM GOD means 33koti(33 only not crore) GODS (some of them's name were we naming during starting in a yangya but they 're not BHAGWAN(THE SUPREME GODS).BHAGWAN are only 3 LOD BRAHMA (THE CREATOR),LORD VISHNU (THE MANAGER),LORD SHIV(THE DESTROYER) but only LORD VISHNU and LORD SHIV are worshipping.and LORD VISHNU has 8 avatars ,and SHRI RAM AND SHRI KRISHNA were one among THEM.and ALL THE SUPREME GODS we're worshipping as THEY ARE THE ONES ,WHO can lead us to THE ETERNAL TRUTH(PARAMATMA/ GETTING MOKSH ) by helping us in every moment of live against every difficulties.and 33 KOTI Gods are also mortal but they're super humans with power like SUN,FIRE,WIND,WATER whose name WE used while doing yangyas to awake SUPREME GODS.33 koti means no 33 crore,it's just 33 only who lives in heaven(SWARG).while heaven is the main target of all Muslims according to Quran but heaven is a smaller place where 33 GODS LIVE compared to SHRI BRAHMLOK,SHRI VISHNU LOK,SHRI SHIVLOK) WHERE THE SUPREME GODS SHRI BRAHMA,SHRI VISHNU,SHRI SHIV LIVES.upom above all PARAMATMA(THE ETERNITY/THE TRUTH OF EVERY SOUL) is there.which every soul is trying to reach it can't.just like many HINDU SAGES AND Gautam BUDDH get there by getting MOKSH.and about MOKSH you'll not get a single thing in Quran.ha ha ha na na.

Hinduism - A way of living your life where you are free to choose any religion, where you are free to follow any culture, belief system etc. which is good for the humankind, the society and the world. It denotes equal respect for all forms of life including plants and animals. Also it is a way to follow your belief systems as you have been doing and at the same time having respect for all the things around you that has been provided to you. Hinduism does not talk of any God as such, instead it sees all that is in Nature as a God in itself. It is a culture where people follow their belief systems and understand their own responsibilities and duties towards the free gifts of nature.

I will tell you guys... Legend has it that God the supreme creator or the Param Atma is the omnipotent omniscient loving merciful God. He wanted man to be close to him, he created the world for man which was like paradise, it had everything plants food , mountains etc.. he told man go and have dominion over it. But he told man dont eat fruit from that tree of knowledge. Man ate it..he was lured by the evil one who disguised himself as the serpent.
      .
Thus committed his first sin of disobedience to God. Man lost his clothes lost paradise everything..imagine...from then onwards man had to be on his own...own search of food...etc etc. But the sins became too much..the population scattered across the earth. God had sent floods famines in wrath. One day on the request of Prophet Moses on behalf of the people to see God, God promised to send a prophet just like him. Better than Abraham. Isaac Moses. Noah etc. Who would speak the word of God but sound just like God as he would breath Gods breath.
The first direct prophecy is by Moses in one of his last sermons. It is recorded in Deuteronomy 18:15-19:
The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.” The Lord said to me: “What they say is good. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.
      ....
This is because people asked for a saviour . The were making idols of bronze bulls etc.. etc.....
      .
This Prophet was Jesus..who completed the above prophecy and lived a very holy life and was sinless as he was born from the virgin mary conceived by the Holy Spirit.
He willingly accepted death on the cross. Blood and water gushed forth from his sides when he was pierced..
He died for you and me.
      Why?
Because he came on earth to show that God exists. He healed the sick , raised the dead, gave sight to the blind.
He is the ultimate sacrifice of our sins.
No need to sacrifice animals etc. Or worry about our salvation if we accept Christ.
But yes we cannot keep on winning etc.
We have to repent and try not to sin again.
Jesus rose from the dead defeated Satan defeated defeated death...
      .
He was not found in his tomb by those who crucified him. He had risen to the highest heaven.
      .
So Christians believe in healing.. because if jesus healed when he was alive he can heal when he is in heaven.
      .
He promised that he is going and we will also go like him one day resurrect from the dead.
He said there are many rooms in His fathers house. But the road to heaven is very narrow.
      .
The Holy Spirit(a third element in the triune God) descended on his disciples after his death and gave them the power to spread the good news to all ends of the world.
They could speak in languages which they dlnt know. That's the gift of tongues. They could heal in the name of Jesus etc etc.
      .
Before dying Jesus broke bread had his last supper and said do this in memory of me.
      .
Hence the holy eucharist or Mass celebration in churches
.he told his apostle Peter upubate my rock and upon you the church will be built. Peter was the first Pope :))
Hence the roman catholic church is the only true church.
      .
Similarly there are other prophecies in the bible too. Like when all the Jews can go back to their own country etc etc.. jesus will return again but this time from the clouds in full glory and he will separate his sheep from the goats.
So we need to be prepared.. we will be able to see God directly.
      .
But to be honest thsts the Israel stuff. I believe hinduism is a pure religion too but Christian's font believe in worshippinv multiple idols
and other ways of salvation..like yoga etc.
Now I dunno whether there is authenticity to the bible etc. But we can always ask Jesus to reveal himself to us if he is real or ask him anything in prayer. He should be pretty harmless as he only did the will of God and no other hera pheri.

Brian Linville Yes. Humans have freewill, is it not? But the same freewill can create karma or cause and effect. But yes, everybody can take their own time to self realize metaphysics followed by hindus for moksha or liberation. It is also the main difference between hinduism and distortions which came later in India like Jainism (which forces people to get moksha), Buddhism (which distorted sankhya dharshana or metaphysics followed by hindus) and Sikhism (very distorted by mixing with monotheism).

I have never really wondered about other religions, even tho I have had both Christian and Muslim friends, but one thing that I have noticed is that, they are said to strictly follow some rules or they have the fear of facing damnation. I can't remember anything like that ever being taught in Hindu scripters. They are just lessons, with beautiful words, written to make u understand what is right and what's wrong, like how a caring parent would teach their kids. That's what I love about it. But anyway, I have no problem with other religions nor have I ever felt to motivate anyone to convert into Hinduism. Tho the argument in this video would be very helpful if ever someone else tries to ask me why Hinduism and not islam or Christianity.

dharma has no English translations. it can be best described as duty. karma is the action that u undertake to fulfill the duty. dharma and karma r interlinked. now what is one's dharma is the fundamental question. It's the dharma of a king to protect his kingdom and look after his people. it is the dharma of a lion to lead his pack and so on

      Dharma means Law
      Sanathan Dharma means *Eternal Law*
      It's the law of soul
just like dharma of earth is pulling things towards itself.
Dharma of sun is to radiate energy
      Etc etc.
Sanathan Dharma is the eternal law.. anyone believing it or not doesn't change the fact of its existence.
It is there.. understand it or don't...
      It doesn't matter. It is.

Best comparison ever found in the internet. Read several books and finally ended up with the same conclusion as in this video.
Since there is one God for the universe, his principles apply on every living beings. We know him by different names. Dharma is universal while paths are different. One may follow any path and as long as we remain human and righteous, we can achieve salvation. May be we fail in one lifetime, we are given another chance. We may perform better each time untill we reach our goal. Heaven or hell are nothing but the conditions we are living in. All depends on three things - past life karma(prarabdha), deeds since we came in this world or our habits (samskar) and what decisions we take at the moment or immediate karma.
Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma or Eternal religion or righteousness whatever we say is much broader which qualifies every criteria and much broader philosophy than Abrahamic faiths. These Abrahamic faiths only classifies heaven or hell as destiny only on the basis of a person's faith whereas in Sanatan Dharma, your deeds decides your destiny. Heaven or hell is temporary and we experience them more often in cycles of joy and sorrow, whereas Abrahamic faith claims eternal joy or eternal condemnation. A human life is for limited time and one can't be sent to heaven or hell eternally as his karma is limited and there is combination of good and bad deeds.
If even for a small bad deed despite every good deeds in life, we are sent to hell, then I guarantee all of you, everyone is going to hell as everyone has committed sin even once in their lifetime.

Very impressive video, you have an excellent way with words. Well done! The exclusivity claims of the Abrahamic religions is certainly their biggest problem (which they can not reconcile), considering they believe we only have one life to live and then living out eternity in the communion of Saints, OR eternal damnation. Karma explains the disparity between people born with blessed, privileged lives, and those whose lives seem to be tormented and cursed (again, the "one life theory" has no answer to this question). For Christians who have a problem living with these unanswered questions (such as the exclusivity of Christ) I recommend you explore the works of Swedenborg (an 18th century mystic who gave a lot of insight on these issues).
