Amazing video! One of the few ESO content creators that goes into a lot of detail about various classes and skills I'll definitely recommend this channel/video to newer players that are getting into harder content and want to optimize their damage.
Bar, I waffled on, on my other post. Just wanted to thank you, for the excelkent video. Will point a lot of people to your vid as I am a few training guilds as well as prog guilds. I will see how I do on the dummy. I hate using runeblade, but I will suffer it for parses.
It’s the strongest single target option for single target type fights. This is the same reason I discuss a variety of setups, including fatecarver, azure, trash, and other set/skill alternatives as well. Maximizing your damage changes fight to fight, and Runeblades is the best single target for arc right now
Parsing is about learning how to get the most out of a class. Someone who does 135k on dummy means they understand how to get the maximum out of a specific class so it kind of denotes experience.
@@mmmaiamm3078 I've heard it said that it's better to think of dummy parsing as a Scoreboard that reflects a person's degree of knowledge + practice + time investment than a combat number. Idea is essentially, "If you can hit X number in parse, other people can probably trust you to do good damage in Y situations or Z types of content." So, a high parse score means a higher base level of trust and a wider range of contexts in which that trust can be counted on by others in a group. Does that help at all?
I personally prefer absorb stam and poison enchants on from bar in content, as I am usually getting burning from the back bar. It can help a little with Coral, too, when using flat food, but that is often trial dependant. I am also fond of AB and Runecarver on trash. I realise I am missing minor slayer, but I usually still end up top on trash. I will run wall, orb and caltrops back bar to help with both AB and RC. I seem to consistently perform better than using sul-xan. I am also a big fan of the scribed torch skill with heroism. You don't really use it in combat, but fire it when moving to a different pack/mechanic, then animation cancel it. You can also fire it as combat ends, causing minor heroism to continue to fire whilst running to the new pack out of combat. I have tried to fit the new source of major heroism with the assault scribed skill, but finding places to effectively use it are few and far between versus the torchbearer being able to be cancelled and give passive damage increase as it is a FG skill.
Your enchants are the strongest source of burning so you’re likely losing a few k dps by doing absorb Stam front bar imo. Runecarver in trash is interesting, Sul Xan is just the best generic trash setup imo as a gateway to more min maxed trash setups, where you’d only equip sul xan as necessary for the buff!
Has anybody ever tested Null arca with fatecarver + runeblades spam ? (basically just swapping tentacular dread to beam for single target rotation, and reapplying tentacle every 20 second buff for the buff)
@@eigh1puppies But the real question is, does it pull more damage than the classic fatecarver build in pure or high ST (so it could be viable to easily swap to runeblades and win time in fights burst fights like Yandir, Yolnahkriin, Ashtitan, without having to remorph tentacle) Just throwing ideas that i'm too lazy to test xD
Very good informations for the arcanist mate :) I have 2 questions.. What is your opinion about to play the arcanist on magicka ? Stamina is far better ? (Sustain and damage) And which skill is better to run for pvp content fatecarver or runeblades?
I am playing the beam build right now. I am using Coral riptide and deadly strike. But I have magicka sustain problems. When I use something for magicka sustain, I have stamina sustain problems. What buff food can I use for this problem?
Most likely a rotational issue, hit me up in discord if you’d like me to take a look. I don’t think a good option is going to reliably solve your problem
I’ve just returned and my arc is running deadly and ansuuls with maelstrom bb How far behind is this falling for the convenience of set and forget? It performs good everywhere I’ve been using it but curious what you think
Some people will say its cheese, but imo it's not. You don't get Pillager on a dummy, and in content, you can Drop a Destro and then go straight into a Languid, so who cares. Scorepushing is all about finding nuances to increase DPS so if you can practice that concept on the dummy, why not.
@@D4rkstone1337 yeah that’s correct shock bb is on par with/sometimes better than berserk because of the damage it deals with charged. Its more worth when the spec relies less on one ability for its damage, so with fatecarver, buffing an ability worth 45% of your damage is worth more than shock, but when the damage is dispersed throughout more sources, shock can pull ahead
@@eigh1puppies it usually provides me 12%~13% of damage (proc + burning) in both sigle target and multi-target scenario, and i use absorb stam to replace flame enchant which provides decent sundered proc with 80%-ish weapon damage coverage
@@eigh1puppies deadly performed worse than it seems when I tested it. for dummy, nirn bested deadly, and runecarver was on par with nirn while having the same high damage for aoe. for a more aoe-heavy scenario that direct damage contribute less, deadly was better than dummy but was still worse than runecarver's 12%~13% in my experience. seems that the additive nature of damage % increase buffs is having a really bad impact on deadly's % improvement
1 light is beneficial if you are under one cap, but we are not and we are running riptide, so the 2% weapon and spell damage from medium armor is even more valuable
@@eigh1puppies okay and would you not rather have coral daggers 3 piece deadly on body and jewels so you could still get deadly benefit on backbar skills?
@@ewapiksrandeb3966 for me, none. I do my parses in the setup I plan on using in content. But some people wanna score push their dummy parses (hence the cheese strats of dawnbreaker and changing sets). Then they can get tagged as "extreme elite dps"
Because there isn't just 1 setup that you use in trials to maximzie damage. The Runeblades setup will be better in trial fights that are purely Single Target, but the Fatecarver setup will be better for AOE demanding situations. Whether or not you need AOE damage highly depends on the fight and goal of the group. A group pushing vAS really well will not need to kill the minis, which makes that fight purely single target, and Runeblades better for damage on Arc, but a group just going for an HM clear will want to kill the minis a couple times so fatecarver would be better. TBF, scorepushes in vas prolly wouldn't include arc but that's the idea

That’s just weave delays, it tells you if your weaves were fast or slow between abilities!
whats the point in building a parsing set only for hitting the Trial dummy?

What is more DPS? Pillar of Nirn/Coral or Deadly/Coral?
On a dummy pillar/coral should still do a hair better. Close to even though
With the runecarver set up, would it be plausable to run the maelstrom inferno on the back bar instead of the greatsword?
It will be possible, but I would do the beam variation anyway if I was gonna do runecarver
