God Bless Thomas Whitman . Such a gentleman and a king of knowledge on German edged weapons. His unboxing videos are amazing . I also watch his review of all the shows & my wife loved the video of his house with all the decorations at Christmastime. Keep up your great work Tom as you are educating young & future collectors of history with your videos .I went many directions in my 50 years of collecting and operate a War Memorial Museum in North Central Pa. that is now in its 25th year of operation. Thank you again Tom for sharing your unboxing & in this hobby all of us collectors are still learning. Even us old guys as we all know we can never quit collecting. Best regards Jack Craft Endless Mountains War Memorial Museum

I’ve been obsessed with military history since I was a kid and started collecting memorabilia while I was in the army, but never anything outside of field gear…I know I’m not the only person who got into collecting seriously this year, but I’m probably the only girl! 😀. Lol everyone always thought I’d grow out of it especially since otherwise I’m pretty feminine…but nope. Any other girl collectors out there? Just a shot in the dark haha.

Glad to see you are having shows finally! Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video for those of us to whom it's pretty much impossible to be there in person. I've never been to the US, but I sure do hope to visit some day and possibly even attend a militaria show at the same time as we don’t have much of that here in Finland. Happy to see mr. Rommel on video again, as Tom says, he has a great taste in collecting and always has beautiful pieces to show to us.

"Cavalry Unit" That is the SS Brigade Niederland for Dutch volunteers. And an original also! Didnt expect to see that at Kanzler his table! Shame you did not zoom in on those pink piped SS visors. Good as new and straight from Pakistan. Always double check when buying. Be it online or at shows collectors. When in doubt, don't buy it and always do research.

That's very true, but I think Thomas also knows this but values the comic appeal that Walter offers...notice how Thomas is almost tongue in cheek about some of Walters Treasures! ....its also true Walter does occasionally have some genuinely nice items..as long as you know what you are looking for.

That ring, the comments below this video, the story, "came out of an attic in Youngstown, Oh ..." .... this is why I would never trust this hobby. No doubt a great deal of these artifacts from WW1 and WW2 are original but these rings and the little odd pieces that pop up from time to time on these tables that one would look at and think, that much have tremendous value are often not, just fantasy bullshit pieces. When I was a kid in the early 80's .. I went to several of these Gun Shows in Topeka, Kansas and Kansas City and even as a 17 year old kid when I went to buy a German dagger or two, I saw a lot of this fake shit that even then .. knew was fake. The worst offender was some older man at a table at one show who had either a very young beautiful girlfriend or perhaps it was his Daughter but was selling any "authentic autograph" you could ever want from important people during WW2. He had German Generals, German Aces, American Aces, just a ton of BS fake autographs that again, even as a kid, I scoffed at. My Mom went to estate sales, collected antiques and she told a and taught me that after you've seen several thousands of antiques, made from metal, paper, leather, glass, you can spot a fake a million miles away.
