Milking at Flying Goat Farm in 2020

A look at how we used the milking parlor in 2020. This was before Devin finished building the in line milking and clean in place system, so we were still using vacuum controlled bucket milkers and manually pouring milk into the bulk tanks! Things have changed a bit!

Flying Goat Farm is a farmstead creamery in south-central Maine. We milk purebred and American Nubian dairy goats and process their milk into cheese right on the farm. In late 2019, we partnered with Devin's sister and her husband and moved the entire farm operation and herd to our new location, a 230 acre former cow dairy farm that had ceased operations in the 80's.
