- THIS SONG ROCKS!!! I swear I could do a cover for every song in the game but I am doing my best to control myself HAHA. This is probably my second favorite song in the entire game. I love everything about it for a final level theme!

I thought it was fine... well, maybe a little bit longer would have been nice. Then again I also fought every enemy. I hear people tend to not do that.
@Christopher Moon it really is just way too short. Bowser’s Castle in the first game and the Palace of Shadow in Thousand Year Door got it right in terms of length. Even Castle Bleck was a good length.
@@GL_099 Same. Battles have a purpose this time, and it’s not nearly as punishing for messing up attacks as it was before since weapons have durability instead of just vanishing after one use.
It's so cool to see people in chat thrown off by how it doesn't sound like mario music. Even with the newer paper mario games and how limited in creativity they are they always spread their wings and do things with mario that no one would ever expect, including the music.
God the songs from the end of this game give me chills. They are so climactic from duel blade to the final fight (also the desert ...if you know you know)
Oh my gosh, turning the haunting lullaby part at 1:02 into a military march is a stroke of genius. That part always felt child-like compared to the rest of the song's sinister, and the juxtaposition of those two, without feeling creepy, felt perfect for Olly. By adding the percussion you did, it felt like the juxtaposition was in a single part of the song.
Calling *that* a lullaby is an understatement.

Spoilers below, do not continue unless you fought final boss
with ollys slow decent into madness, where near the start he turns toads into living creatures, like dogs, swans, butterflies, etc. But later in the game, almost every toad is given a inanimate object form. In the final castle he doesn’t even value life anymore, throwing any minion away that serves no purpose to him. Even willing to kill his own sister to continue his plans, and making peach a decoration.
I never realized how in picnic road there was dogs and such but in the later stages it was just cactuses and flowers and easily foldable objects
Damn I hope someone requests that he does The Final Fold, or any of the main boss themes really. This game's soundtrack is stellar, and it bothers me deeply that it's getting so slept on. The entire game is, really.
It really is a shame! As a die-hard TTYD and SPM fan, this game definitely deserves to have a throne in the Paper Mario series, in my opinion.

Adlai Stevenson not really but there’s a certain feel to Mario music that makes it stand out, it’s usually bubbly, energetic, and gives a sense of joy

This soundtrack man... SO GOOD. It’s the reason I bought this game in the first place and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.
