Yes, the tractors are similar except the bedroom eyes are on the blond instead of the tractor. Those outfits are great for what they do but not in a rush. All this reworking still beats buying a new one. Good video. Peace.

I guess if you can still get parts and just spraying fungicide these units are good enough. I’m just wondering how the big tires will impact chain drives for the wheels. If the chain breaks do you still have brakes? Guessing you don’t have to worry about hills.
If a chain break we do not have breaks😬. But no hills like you mentioned so that’s a plus. We did go through and replace chains this winter so hopefully we don’t have any issues

@@6thGenFarmer had a feeling that's what it was. Oils today have a much higher flashpoint.
@6th Gen Farmer You would be the first farm to not be able too use a new r4038 to spray fungicide on your corn because it's to tall. Did you get John Deere out there to show them that because we have no issue's spraying whatever we need to anytime of the year on are 20,000 acres of corn when it comes to clearance. I just find that really odd that a 1970s sprayer is tall enough but not a 2010 or newer isn't tall enough for the corn.
Crop clearance on a r4038 is 60” (John Deere’s spec page). With the chassis alone we have an extra foot or better clearance depending on what highboy your looking at. Our area has very good soil for growing corn, so it’s possible that our corn grows taller than in your area. Everyone that sprays fungicide around us uses a Hagie, old highboy, crop duster, and I know of 1 John Deere 4930 that has an air lift kit on it.
I was thinking the same thing iv sprayed 10ft corn with a 4630 did awesome the tasssles were definitely damn near hitting the boom but put some drop nozzles and boom great coverage
Would love to talk to you more about snapping off corn. Getting sick of the job some of the planes have been doing and looking to go to a Hagie. If I understand correctly 72” is the height of your “lower” 6000? It snapped tall corn? I run a Deere 4630 now and am considering a 2016 or newer DTS10 or a 2014 + STS10. I have sprayed ground fungicide on our soybeans for the last 5 years and wouldn’t have it any other way - had to hire a plane this year for a few hundred acres as it was too wet. I would rather not watch….

We have a John Deere r4038 as well, we use these for spraying fungicide in tall corn!
Are you not able to apply fungicide with the r4038.
