Oil Spill Response Boeing 727-2S2F(RE) Take off - London Southend Airport

Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to SOUTHEND AVIATION!
2 Excel Aviation have their Boeing 727s, as part of the oil spill response fleet, based at London Southend. In this recording we see on of the resident 727s departing for Cardiff where she will join her sister jet. The 2 are to complete routine training around the Isle of White during the week before returning to home base.

Great to see this classic bird is based at Southend along with its sister. I tracked its journey to Cardiff then it flew to just off the south coast of the Isle of Wight circling many times at low altitude dealing with a spill probably. I remember when there were loads of 727s here for maintenance in the 90s along with 707s this jet is over 40 years old and one of the last produced

Hey Southend Aviation do you know if the 727 displaying at Sywell tomorrow is flying out of Southend? and if so at what time? Also where do you park and then go to get to this spot? Im guessing in the church car park and then walk along, behind the fence
