Great videos mate, just subbed and started to binge watch your videos. I've just started aviation photography and going to an airshow this weekend, hoping I can learn some stuff.
Anyway, this video was enlightening. Absolutely disgusting on their behalf in my opinion. Get people to sign to say they don't want to wear ear defenders then they are covered for anything that happens, should be your choice if you want to wear them or not.
    £125 is outrageous 😳
Great video mate, I'm watching more of your stuff now.

Wow. £125 to be spoken to like a kid and rushed about. Your review is refreshing, I considered going, it's now a Nope for me. think I'll stick to seeing the Southend vulcan XL426 cracking bunch down there. Always had a great experiance and happy to blow my earholes out with that howl, 😂.

Quite right, this is one of those experiences I'm glad I tried but certainly wouldn't do it again.

@@SOUTHENDAVIATION If you don't already, I would highly recommend VRT membership it's pretty cheap and money is already saved within only a couple of events.

Ear defenders when its not running !!! Seems like a health & safety issue & perhaps a jobsworthy !! . Perhaps their just covering themselves in some way, personally i just use common sense, perhaps that rude lady should visit Santa pod on a top fuel event or go & see Motorhead. Also 1 of the main attractions in visiting the Vulcan is to hear it.

Yes I've had people say to me they're covering themselves re the ear defenders, being that DSA (was) a live airport. However that brings me back to Kemble, it's a live airport and again ear defenders were optional for the Buccaneer engine runs. Maybe it's just a power trip for the volunteers? Who knows. And quite right the 1 main attraction to the Vulcan and what everyone knows it for is the awesome howl!

For context, the guys who restore XM655 at Wellesbourne are doing a similar event in May and it's £105 cheaper than VTTS! Just goes to show the greed that circulates VTTS. xm655.com/comingevents/?fbclid=IwAR30MCOCB-knFk7Pbq-6kZm101d35YkANEqZpIfH8kHJGYD3Shp8m5RoYnU

I bet they were all mask wearers a few years ago. Makes me wonder if you all whipped of the defenders mid engine run, if they would have rugby tackled you to the ground 😂

Funny you say that, George got a tap on the shoulder twice during the run when he "re-adjusted" his defenders. I managed to get away with it but it was still very muffled. Matt had someone following him the whole time during the engine runs, proper jobworths there.
