Thanks for watching. I’m very tempted to head over to Germany and catch the GR-4’s before they retire. I think it’s still ok for aviation photographers to visit the bases isn’t it?
@@MarkKerton I am really not sure about that and I would need to check, but if you do come to Germany please pass by for a coffee, it'll be on me and my pleasure :)
@@MarkKerton UPDATE: I checked and found this guy doing this over here so it seems possible: ruclips.net/video/Q5_1DkFdJSs/видео.html Manching is close to where I live, so that coffee would work out too :)
Hi Stephen. Thanks for watching. I have been slacking quite a bit this year and not posted many videos unfortunately! Hopefully, now autumn is approaching I will try and get out for a few sunrises and capture the colours in the forest. Hope you are keeping well. Catch up soon.
Good stuff, expended far too many rolls of K64 at the exact same spot at Waddo back in the 80's and 90's when the ACMI range was active. Thanks for a superb video!
Hi Mark, thanks for the video, great to see some more jets again, we went on holiday to Wales in August, one of the places we went to was BALA to a boating lake, we were sat having an ice cream when two jets appeared out of nowhere, they were very low and seemed to be hovering, I did have my camera with me but I only had the 24-70 on it, I had it next to me but one of the family had put a towel over it so I was scrambling around trying to find it but it was too late the jets had gone, a bit later on we went into BALA to get something to eat did have my camera over my shoulder next thing a single jet came very very low over the shops I couldn't get my camera quick enough guess what... yeah it was gone, 😂😂no photo's again, good to see them though. 👍👍I can't wait to see your next video, Mark. 👍👍
Thanks for watching James. Know exactly what you mean, we all miss Tornado! So great to see them back in our skies for a few weeks at least. Hopefully they will return again soon🤞🏻
Nice video. Loved the birds since I was a kid. Remember in 1978 watching the Galaxy C5 coming to Denmark (BLL - Billund) for an exercise in Denmark/Germany. They were too big to land at the military airport close by :P
@@MarkKerton Sorry late reply Mark, I’ve never done aviation photography but it’s something I’d like to try! Anyway away from that subject how’s it going on the football side of things ?
Really enjoyed your video....Great to see Tornadoes flying again. Such a great aircraft. I was always told that in foul weather here in the UK, rain, fog, low cloud etc, the Americans were all grounded and waiting for clear skies, The Brits were out in their GR4s flying at 100ft in Cumbia and Wales and it was business as usual. How true that was I'm not sure. But the Tornado was built for European defence...so there may be a grain of truth in it. Great photo's Mark...
Thanks for watching Stephen. Brilliant to see the Tornado back in our skies again, such a shame I couldn’t make it back for another session but hopefully they will be back soon fingers crossed.
Thanks for watching Andrew. Glad the settings helped out a little bit. Are you a member of our photography chat group on Facebook? Do post some of your aviation images if you have any
Wow you have some absolute belters there Mark. Have you ever visited the "Mach Loop" comprising of "Cad East and Cad West in Wales. Low level flight training, amazing place
Thanks for watching. Yep, done Cad East, West and Bwlch a few times. I did put out a vlog on one of my trips to Cad, here’s the link ruclips.net/video/9_cTaek2ciw/видео.html
Hey Mark! I didn't know you liked aviation photography. I'm a big fan of aviation and photography, and I've been doing aviation photos for over 10 years now!
Hi Mark. Please keep them coming. I live down the road from RAF Benson. Three Apache flow over last week and I didn’t have a camera or even have an iPhone on me. Any advice photographing helicopters would gratefully received. All the very best. 👍🏻😃
Thanks for watching Gary. Helicopters are always a good test for photography! Slow shutter speed is key to try and get the rotors nice and blurred, giving the image a sense of movement. A shutter speed of around 1/160 is about the norm. Hope that helps
Hi. Mark. Love the landscape and aviation videos, but really miss the sports photography ones. Are you finished with the sports photography. I know you have moved to a different part of the country. I like many others really miss those football/rugby ones.
Thanks for watching Clive and kind words. My sport has slowed down a lot now I have moved up north but looking to get back into it a little bit if I can and film the odd video hopefully fingers crossed
Really interesting to see something a bit different. I loved seeing some jets taking off and flying over RAF Lakenheath when I was at the nearby nature reserve. How do you find out when they are going to be flying Days/times etc. I’d really like to try and photograph at the Mach Loop too, but don’t fancy spending hours waiting without knowing something will be coming over, though having said that as a nature photographer that’s exactly what I do! 😆
Thanks for watching Sue. I would highly recommend a day up at the loop although it could be a day just sat admiring the view! You never quite know what might pass on a day-to-day basis as it really is hit and miss up there. Best place to go would be Lakenheath as they are always flying if you fancy a bit of a Aviation photography
Thanks for watching John. Whereabouts in the UK are you? Easiest bet would be to head to your nearest RAF station and have a go there. These tornadoes are at RAF Waddington until the end of the month I think. Let me know how you get on
@@MarkKerton cheers Mark. I am near Leicester so will probably head to Lincolnshire. Am off to East Kirkby to the museum when I get a chance. Wife’s uncle was a Lancaster pilot stationed there in wwii. Could drop by Waddington at the same time
Great to meet you at Schleswig. Hope you got back home ok. Let me know when you’re next in the UK. Also, if you ever see the documentary that we were interviewed for, would be great to get a link for it👍🏻
Hi I'm looking to get in to the aviation photography side as I do go to air shows did use my phone but think its time to trade up. Looking for some advice and recommendations on what camera to go for ?? The 2 I been told look at are the Canon R or the Sony Alpha A7 III. What are people's thoughts ?? The two Brand are mainly Canon or Sony I prefer the Full Frame an Mirrorless side. Got a budget £2000 in the UK
So nice to see and hear from you again. I also love to watch airplanes so this was a treat. Thanks
Thanks for watching Ted. Great to be back fence side filming some aviation again and more to follow soon hopefully👍🏻
Very nice Mark.

Glad it means something to you we germans kept those tornadoes in good shape! Great vid. Really enjoyed it. Thank you. Take care!
