Being cheated on is the worst kind of betrayal. It really hurts. It's like being used and lied to and stolen from and poisoned all at once.
Took me 18 months of hell trying to fix it, 2 years of therapy and 3 attempts to find the right antidepressants before I was in any way functional.

yeah honestly and the cheaters really dont care at all... found out my ex cheated on me a week after my dad passed away. he had been cheating the entire 7 yrs and it picked up when i was caring for my dad (2 yrs of at home care). the worst time of my life... the only positive was that i was so explosively angry (thinking it was a mix of anger and heavy sadness but it exploded into anger) that my sadness for dad stayed at bay until christmas time (he passed in november 2017). the anger has gone but the sadness for my dad remains.
Been married 43 years, two grown sons, two daughters-in-law and three beautiful grandchildren (2 girls, 1 boy) with another on the way. Wouldn't change it at all, and wouldn't want it any other way. That day 46 years ago when I saw her in the college cafeteria was it for me!

my exhusband cheated, married 11 years, when i found out about it and we split up. Before we made the final decision on a divorce we tried to reconcile, i find out he has a girlfriend. I asked him why he had a girlfriend when we were trying to put the marriage back together. He looked me straight in the eye and said "In case it did not work out between me and you i had a backup" I said hope you are happy with your back up and pushed his ass out the door.
That's why the cheet instead of break up, don't want to be with out that leg. SOO GROSE.

I also doubt he remembers. What I wish we could all know is if he had the tiniest bit a guilt. Probably not, but maybe. The letter is that much more of a burn if he didn't care enough to remember, though. Hope his stuff was stolen. Like my friend found this laptop years ago outside a building that used to be a Gamestop. Really hoping it was this trash boyfriend's.

I mean, in these cases it mostly does but I can tell you, I wouldnt be able to remember stuff like this. Maybe if it was like "love at first sight" or something like this. But otherwise my memory is so bad that I probably wouldnt remember it.
My ex cheated on me after 11 years of marriage. Luckily there weren’t any children involved but it took about a year and a half and he had to pay me spousal support for a long time, until I got remarried 6 years later. Sadly, a sweet cat died due to his negligence and the residence I was staying at didn’t allow pets. That broke my heart more than the divorce. Also, I have cerebral palsy and am unable to drive due astigmatism and night-blindness.
My husband now is a truly righteous dude who understands my disability and is more patient and understanding than the ex ever was. My heart is overjoyed because he is so patient and kind and my stepdaughter is the coolest kid on the planet. (Bonus!)

@KimmyBall, I’m glad you are standing firm in your resolve. Do not take him back. After 12 years of being together, when he cheated on you, he KNEW that it was a big mistake to cheat because life was better with you. Please set some boundaries and do not talk to him so much if you don’t have to. He needs to know you are serious on the split. I hope life keeps getting better for you!

So fun story:
On one of the Disney Parks enthusiast pages I follow, some guy posted pics of him alone, saying, “Wish I had someone who was as crazy for Disney like myself, that would be a match made in heaven!” And of course, a bunch of girls started hitting him up and posting sympathetic comments about how he’d one day “find his princess”. He didn’t correct them, either. Then someone posted screenshots of his profile, his relationship status, his fiancee and the kid they have together.
Needless to say, he took the post down shortly after he received a parade of “not cool, bro”s in the comments.

Wich isnt neccesarily a bad thing. It doesnt always mean you dont love your partner, even though it probably does in this case. I couldnt remember some of these points due to really bad memory. Only if it was a unique place or circumstance.

It never makes sense to me. Just break up with me but don't cheat on me. I was cheated on. I kind of thought something was going on but I had no proof, this was pre-cell phones. I finally got a back bone and broke up with him. He married a good (ex)friend of mine 4 months later. I was friends with his brother and sister-in-law so I heard about him cheating on her. He left her for another woman after about 20+ years together. Why do men/women think they won't be cheated on by the person that's cheating to be with them?
I'd say it depends on age. Young people cheating is just ignorance and lack of impulse control. I'm not saying to forgive shit but the first time I got cheated on the girl was an ugly duckling who came out of her shell while with me. So she started getting attention from the guys who used to not pay attention to her, and who were much better looking than me. It was inevitable. We were young, it sucked, but I got over it and if I ran into her today it wouldn't bother me. Good learning experience.

Before my husband and I got married, (and we were 28 and 29) we made a pact. That if either of us ever wanted someone else, we would respect our spouse enough to get a divorce first, rather than cheat. We have been married for 39 years and have been faithful to each other. Neither of us ever cheated and we never will. It takes trust and respect to make a relationship work.
My boyfriend and I did kind of the same. We said: before cheating just split up. And before splitting up try to talk and look if there is anything one could change to make it work. If not, then split. But cheating is never the option. I think it is about respecting another human being.

NEVER trust someone again who did this. My husband knows there aren’t second chances on that. And I would expect the same treatment (I’ve never cheated and don’t see myself ever cheating as I still can’t believe my husband puts up with me 🤣) Once the cheating is done the trust is gone.

Hey Charlotte, wish I could say I have never been on the painful end of cheating, but while serving my country I was away on a training exercise, and my new wife of one whole month not only cheated, but got pregnant by another guy, The pain I felt when I returned to find a note on my pillow saying she not only wanted a divorce, but was now living with the man was so intense I couldn't begin to explain it. This Happened in 1992 during Operation Storm and even now when I think about it I still get a small twinge of pain, because I still don't know what I did wrong if anything, because she refused to speak to me. And believe it or not, up to the day I returned to have my heart ripped out we had never so much as disagreed with each other. I guess you live and learn then move on.
You didn't do anything wrong. She has no morals. Best revenge is to find someone who won't cheat and be happy!
You're not to blame or even question yourself. I was cheated on but didn't realize it til he moved away and discarded me. I was so mind fk'd by his mental and emotional abuse that I never thought he'd cheat. He was controlling and was always accusing me of being unfaithful. Now so many suppressed memories are surfacing and it's heartbreaking to know HE was doing the things he'd accused me of. I'm beyond hurt. Your ex will someday get a visit from Karma. That's the way it works. I left a good man, broke his heart thinking I'd be happier with someone new. I paid a huge price for that decision. I'm lucky he's forgiven me and we have a good friendship. We coparent our kids and it works.
My ex the abuser was a predator and I don't know if I'll ever trust anyone again but for now my kids are my only priority. I hope you believe that you didn't deserve what she did.

My two oldest children's father I found out was cheating on me with soooooooo many people including hookers.... aaaand as many different phone hook ups as possible... telling each of them he'd take care of them and their bills - he couldn't even help keep up with ours 🤦♀️ & is now over $20,000 behind in child support. I've never cheated, but a close friend of mine got cheated on a long time ago and to this day, I still remember her calling me in tears, the feeling of helplessness cos I didn't know how to comfort her and the absolute hate I felt towards the cheating bugger. She's since moved on and has a happy family now, but I still hate his guts for what he did to her.
better that she found out than to have lived a lie longer though. It hurts, but she got good information that she needed to move on and find a better partner.

In college, I had this boyfriend who I thought was the greatest. Until one night, he calls me and says, "Guess what, I asked [insert my best friend's name here] to marry me and she said yes!" Well, I'm all confused at this point and stupidly ask for an explanation. So, he tells the story about how they'd fallen in love and had been seeing each other without my knowledge. So, I thought the worst thing was that he cheated on me with my (now former) best friend, but when he calls me to tell me about it and sounded so happy and wanted me to be happy for him (wtf, dude?!) I thought THAT was the worst. But wait, there's more... The worst part about it was when he tells me, "Yeah, it's awesome, she's just like you, but white!" AUGH! Good riddance, jerk.

omg, cheating is one of the worst things someone can do. Honesty and loyalty are SO important. If my man cheated, I wouldn't give a second chance unless there were EXTREME circumstances. I have such difficulties trusting people and letting down my guard in general, so I wouldn't be able to trust them again and the relationship would be over sooner or later either way. So not giving a second chance is to save us both unnecessary heartache.

When I moved to England, my first job was in a hotel bar. It was a sunday, place was dead, hadn't served so much as a drink that day but had only been working for 3 hours. Me and one of the managers sat at the window sipping coffee watching a woman in the car park screaming at her husband she had caught cheating.. woman had a shoe in one hand smacking the dude, and a handful of the other womans hair in the other. This went on for about an hour.. no cops called.. just the only 2 people working there that day enjoying the Tea.
This reminds me of a post on French Twitter where a girl said "I was listening to 2 guys' conversation in the subway so if your name is Melina and your bf has a kaki baseball cap from x brand, he's gonna try to cheat on you at Mehdi's party next weekend with a girl with "nice hips" called Charlotte". My wife and I split up for 3 months in 1985, she was with her ex boyfriend that she knew before I came along. After I decided to join the Army she wanted back with me. I was in Oklahoma and she with our 2 kids was in Michigan when we decided to get back together. The 3 previous months it was always, No we are not getting back together period! But then suddenly it was, "Oh I love you and want you back". Me, missing my kids took her back. THAT night she slept with another guy she had known in school but never dated. over the course of the week from that initial getting back together call and her getting on the bus to come to Oklahoma with our kids she slept with that guy twice and the ex boyfriend she initially dumped me for. OK now fast forward to 2013, I left her after trying for all those years to make the marriage work and to raise our now 4 kids. AFTER we separated I met a woman and we began a relationship, according to my ex wife our marriage ended because I was cheating on her with the new woman, BUT she NEVER cheated on me at all, EVER EVER EVER!! LOL.

1. Why do people (esp. women, but this guy too) have more kids when they are trying to fix a relationship?

My ex used to cheat on me and then used to make fake profiles under my name to show my friends saying that I Cheat on him. So, I baited him to come over, caught the chats and him coming on camera and exposed him in front of my friends. 😂 Needless to say, my breakup was epic😂
I met a guy on a dating service and we were talking for quite a while we ended up hanging out he told me that he lived with his roommate downtown and that his roommate was gay and messy that's why I couldn't come over whatever anyways long story short went out with him again found out on my own that his gay roommate was indeed his fiance and she was pregnant with his child and the girl that he introduced me to was his daughter so he said turned out to be his sister and I thought how sad and pathetic why would you get your sister to lie and say that it was your daughter! Anyways I ended up contacting his soon-to-be wife explained everything her response was what makes you think that he was cheating? or said the fact that I've just showed you his dating profile and I have showed you messages between him and I where it specifically says he's single and talking about our dates! Long story short this chick ended up marrying him having a second child with him and now they're no longer together geez I wonder why!

Nothing new. I have worked with women like that. "My BF / betrothed / husband" is perfect, you are jealous, you make it all up, you are trying to break us apart, you're lying, blah blah blah...
So, now, if you do not ask me, I will just ask light questions: "oh, he is out with Mark again ?" "Mark is such a good friend, when will you be introduced to each other ?", "I would LOVE to see a photograph, is he cute ?", "so, you never met him, or even see him, but he takes a huge part in your partner life.... I would be soOoOo upset, but your not me, huh ? "

I've been there I got cheated on so many times I kept on giving love to them but they just keep taking and taking until I have nothing left but hurt
Insecurity may cause a person to guard their relationship like a pile of cash. Someone can say "oh your cash is counterfeit, throw it away". How do we know that the person will not just pick up all the cash when we drop it ?
Some women DO try to break up happy couples - a sensible person doesn't just drop their lover because someone suggests it.
This is the reason I never pity women who get cheated on, most times they see the sign and still decide to carry on
I've been through it, but I ended up being the "other woman" without my knowledge. I asked a guy out on a date and he immediately said yes. We went on our date and it was really nice, but the next day at our high school, he didn't want to hold my hand. I was confused, but I figured maybe he wasn't into PDA. I found out the real reason when I was in his city with friends and decided to drop by his house to surprise him and introduce him to them. I found him in the back yard kissing his girlfriend. I felt so bad for her. What was even worse was that he had spent the evening with me doing things like pulling out my chair, giving up his coat when I was cold, etc. when all he really wanted was to get in my pants. When I refused to sleep with him, he stopped doing all of those nice things. He was truly pathetic.

@@flamefangstar I am ashamed to say that I could not find my voice. I had been physically abused as a child by my stepmom and was still trying to find who I was and learning how to speak up for myself and others. If it happened today, I would totally out him.

It's sad how much people will lie when they could just be single.
My friend and I both cried when she got cheated on. I was so hurt because she couldn't say a word without tearing up. The guy cheated on her days prior to their wedding. My friend has moved on and forgave her husband. But i still hate him to this day and would never understand how someone could actually do that when he literally proposed 3 times to get her to say yes.

My ex-husband was a cheater. I never caught him, but when he ghosted me (leaving my disabled ass penniless and homeless) , he left me for an ex of his...on Friday the 13th. It was absolute hell and almost broke me. I filed our divorce papers on Valentine's Day.

I was driving home from work one day and a guy had a large sign hanging from a bridge over an interstate apologizing to his girlfriend for cheating on her and asking her to take him back
I hope that could be a sincere apoligize (and voluntary) from him... Some women "ask" to do stupid things like so to just embarring them. It's hard not to carry the emotional baggage from being cheated on . My husband is very good at dealing with it if it ever creeps up in me, thankfully I can talk with him about it easily.

When I got cheated on by my ex with someone in the same building. I made him tell me every little detail. Banned him from sex for 3 months. I told the girl's boyfriend who she wouldn't bring back but I was walking down the stairs and I saw the girl with her boyfriend in the reflection of window . Pretended I did not see them but when we reached the bottom of the stairs I opened the door for them. I said aren't you going to introduce us I have been waiting to meet you? He asked her who I was and I said the ex girlfriend of... Who your girlfriend slept with. You know your girlfriend that tart who begged for seconds and could do the job properly. Also I made him get an std check they had used protection but its really painful for blokes to be fully tested so I found it hilarious.

You can forgive cheating, even reconcile with the other person, but the relationship will never be the same. It's probably best to move on. BTW, I speak from experience.

I was in town once getting in my car, I saw a woman crying and looking for a taxi, I talked to her to calm her down. She said she was at work, her neighbour called her to tell her that a woman was visiting her useless, jobless husband. She went home and caught him in bed with a friend of hers. I drove her back to work.

I hated working for him. 😠

I don't know if I was cheated on (no proof), but I proposed to the woman that I was living with, she accepted. Went offshore to work for 7 days, came back in and she had married someone else. Fortunately, I knew the bar owner and she watched over me as I killed a bottle of cheap tequila, and slept in her bar.

I had a friend in highschool who had four girlfriends. I warned him that shit will eventually hit the fan, but he didn't listen to me. Apparently three of the girlfriends had the same friend. They were informed of the situation by said friend when he showed up at a party with a girl she didn't know. No one obviously knew each were dating the same guy.
During the party the fourth girl was informed that he was cheating on her with at least one other girl. Later that week they eventually caught on what was REALLY going on. They agreed to have one of them go to a party with him the following weekend and they would ALL ambush him there.
He had an interesting story to tell me that following Monday. He told me that he will listen to my opinions more often from then on. He also decided one girlfriend at a time is good enough.
If I wanna sleep with other people.. either I ask permission or I end my relationship, but never would I lie. How disrespectful.
I caught my ex boyfriend cheating on me.
My friend invited me to have lunch with her workmate who is gay as well. Also I met her friend and we get along right away. He suddenly mentioned that a guy who he started to go on a date with will pick him up to see a movie. After few minutes the guy came and me and my friend where shock to see that it was my (ex) boyfriend. So my friend told his workmate everything and he was shock as well. So they went outside when my (ex) boyfriend says he wanted to talk to me. I told him I don't want to talk to him and went outside with my friend and invited her and my workmate to go to my apartment to watch a movie and have a drink. They accepted my situation and her co worker apologized to me. I told him that it was okay and we went to my apartment. Once we got there we talked and get along. Also they helped me to throw all of my exes things outside the door.
Then few hours later my ex started to knock on the door begging to forgive him, and I opened the door and he saw that I was still hanging out with my friend and his co worker who is now my new friend. I told him we are done, and my new friend told him that they are done as well. And slam the door right in front of his face.

@@user-zp3oz7op6w - how do you avoid cheaters? They're usually very convincing with their lies. It's only after they get careless that you find out. So yes, you can lose years thinking your partner was a queen/prince only to find out they're frogs. They've moved on from you with a new partner after wasting years of your life while you're left alone.
@@druidriley3163 I find if they lie once about something they will probably cheat. Find out their past history such as how many exes and how long did they last. You can ask why they broke up. Date awhile before hopping into bed. See how they treat their Mom or Dad to know if they have issues. Are they secretive when dating? It's not perfect but it helps.
@@user-zp3oz7op6w - helps, but yeah, I hear you. If a guy says all his exes were horrible women, it's a red flag. Last partner who cheated on me only had a dad, his mom was long gone and he had no relationship with her. So I couldn't see any dynamic there. I never knew him to lie about anything. Until he cheated on me. Holding out on sex doesn't really work either. I did that once. Held out for 3 months to get to know the guy better. Our relationship lasted until I had sex with him, then he dumped me. He was just waiting me out, apparently.
@@druidriley3163 Having no relationship with his Mom was the red flag. He probably didn't respect women after that. You can't avoid all losers but they lead to the "one" . You have to respect yourself too and dump them if you don't get respect.
I would definitely be down for a Pt 2 or more - love seeing cheaters get their just rewards, or at least public humiliation. Also? Married to the same awesome spouse since 1986, both of us are still best buds as well as lovers. It can be done, but it requires trust and transparency. You can't get that with a cheater. I was engaged to my child's father, we'd been together for 7+ years. Turns out he was obsessed with flirting with other girls. Found out he was on Tinder, he tried to say it's not a dating app! Later found out he had a girlfriend. He told me he wanted to make it work and I stupidly gave him another chance, but he was still seeing her and playing us both. He then had the nerve to say he wished he could have both of us and I was done. It took me a while to date again, a few just never went anywhere. Then I thought I found an amazing guy that was everything I was looking for in a partner. It was a long distance relationship (abt 3 hrs away) but I didn't mind. Turned out the whole thing was a lie, he was making me believe I was his girlfriend, but as far as anyone else he knew was concerned I didn't exist. He was lying about everything and dating multiple other women. I've been lied to and cheated on so many times, I gave up on dating. I've dated the nice guys and all different types, and still couldn't find an honest, respectful and loyal partner. If you want someone else just tell them.
My ex cheated on me and when I found out, his excuse was because he thought I lost respect for myself. I told him he was right. I lost respect for myself when I decided to be with him but eh, karma has it's beautiful ways! I met the man of my dreams, kind, funny, and understanding while the ex randomly updates me on his heart attack & trying not to die on the job like I give a flying duck. NOT YOUR COUNSELOR BUDDY!
