Jimin truly is a rare vocalist. His voice is out of this world. Jimins known as one of the best unique vocalist in K-pop. Jimin’s tone and range adds something unique to every song he’s in, “the cherry on top.” Someone even called Jimin's voice "star powder seasoning".

Agree! I think it gets very obvious how much his tone influences and adds to BTS songs when you watch other groups doing a cover of them. Even though they usually do a wonderful job(!), there's just that little bit of magic(?) missing, which in my opinion is exactly what Jimin's voice adds. I don't really know how to describe it but I think "star powder seasoning" and "fairy dust" are very fitting descriptions 🤗🙃

i will never get tired of saying this but jimin's unique voice has always stood out to me. I feel like more people are beginning to notice it since i think he is slowly finding the color of his voice. Like yoongi has stated many times, jimin's voice is very distinct and one of a kind. His natural vibrato is so effortless and beautiful
I love this entire performance so much! They sound absolutely amazing and together even more magical. Taeyang is beyond amazing BUT DAMN IM IN LOVE WITH JIMINS VOICE. He’s truly a rare vocalist! Never heard a voice like his in my life. His tone, color, and range adds so much to every song he’s on! Honestly a reason why he’s my top fave vocalist and one of the best in the industry no doubt. His control and pitch accuracy is amazing. I’m convinced Jimin eats cds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just pure raw talent is what jimin is.

Jimin wanted to he a singer, and his Dad said he would sing the high parts in songs well as a kid. He didn't sing professionally, though. He has the shortest training of the BTS members and didn't have vocal lessons. So he said he would ask to sit in on Jungkook's and V's lessons, then practice on his own at night. He would practice singing, dancing, etc till 0430 in the morning, sleep, then wake at 0630 to go to school. It's insane how much he worked.
I think Jimin is a naturally gifted singer, who was already good at the start and was selected Lead Vocalist to Jungkook's Main Vocalist at debut. He was already good and has worked on his vocals to become phenomenal, in my opinion.

I know right? that's why I dont understand other people who keeps on saying he can't sing. He literally gave his all and practiced so hard,if those people only knew how much he worked and what he went through to make everything fall in to the right place then maybe they would atleast appreciate his efforts. Well, it's not a living room, but RM did a mini concert (only 200 attendees) on a small stage. He does Wildflower and Youjeen was there, other people from his collabs on Indigo were there also. It's a very intimate setting, no fireworks, just RM and his guest collaborators.

Jimin didn't just debut after having less knowledge on music- he debuted as BTS'S LEAD VOCALIST he was that good naturally and of course, he is known for his hard work! 💜
@Gigi S. Hun maybe don't correct people till you know all the facts or do some research on something. The Original commenter was precisely correct. IN K-POP there are specific and set designations given to group members to differentiate their roles and clarify them for fans. Lead and Main are different things. We all know JK is the MAIN VOCAL in BTS, and the CENTER of the group. JIMIN is LEAD VOCAL, and that is second to MAIN. Then Tae and Jin are vocalists. THAT is the set composition of the BTS vocal line. As publicised by BIG HIT from the very beginning. (I know that coz I was actually watching in 2013 when they DID so... and the millions of times they said it after that). Just like how in the DANCE LINE Jimin and J-Hope are MAIN DANCERS (with J-Hope also being dance leader), and JK being LEAD dancer, which is second to the main dancers, from the very beginning, with Tae being added to the dance line after singularity. Those are facts. Accept them. Hating it won't change facts. Jimin debuted in BTS as Lead Vocal with no real singing experience, and no vocal training at all because Big Hit couldn't afford to send them all for vocal lessons. Only JK and Tae got lessons, and Jimin would sit outside their lesson room and listen to the teachings, then go back and try them for himself. Yet he was trusted with all the high-notes the others couldn't do, and sang only less than JK in all their debut songs and rookie albums. That's how hard he worked as a 17yr old kid, and how hard he STILL works even now as a 10yr industry veteran, with Global success and millions of dollars in the bank. Like Yoonki said. JIMIN is his own type of GENIUS... Get over it.

Jimin indeed did debut as lead vocalist and main dancer
He already had an interest in singing AND dancing before debut and he taught himself how to sing because the company didn't give him vocal lessons like the rest of the vocal line

What Suga meant was that Jimin didn't have a singing background when he joined, but through sheer hard work, dedication and natural talent, he debuted as the lead vocalist a mere 6 months after joining BigHit as a trainee. He didn't receive vocal lessons at the time as the company was very small and his training period was very short, but he proved himself by debuting as a main dancer and the lead vocalist of BTS. It just goes to show how amazing he is and how much work he put into perfecting his craft and developing his own style as a singer. Jin also wasn't a singer or dancer when he was scouted - he also put in a lot of hard work and debuted as a vocalist. What the other commenters are saying is that although he didn't come from a singing background, Jimin has always been a main dancer and the lead vocalist of BTS since their debut on 13 June, 2013. Jungkook is indeed the main vocalist - lead and main are two different positions.

LOVED this reaction so much. You guys' excitement always shines through so it's never a boring or dull watch 💜💜 I also want to point out that i love that Daniel pauses to say what he wants to say (if there's too much to say in the moment and people don't pause/if they dont say what they need to i quite literally exit the video and remind myself to never watch them again). Wild Flower and Still Life are still my favorite collabs from this year, but I am so impressed with Jimin on his song. He really showed off his versatility and uniqueness and got to work with his idol which is a plus. Very proud ARMY !

There are a lot of stories out there from the other members to the people who work with BTS about Jimin’s work ethics from his pre debut days and even now. He is known to be a perfectionist who will sacrifice sleep to practice something over and over again. He is always looking for ways to improve himself no matter how accomplished he is. This is one of the reasons that he’s my ultimate bias over any other entertainer, not just in K-pop but my favorite globally.
I love live bands so this version is automatically my favorite. Vocals clear and clean, perfect duo.

Jimin would ask to go to v and jungkook’s vocal lessons and sit on the sidelines and watch. He would stay and practise all night going to bed at 4am and waking up at 6:30am for school as a trainee.
