Fishing Drinkwater Park Lake

A few sessions on a very weedy Drinkwater Park Lake. The blanket weed was so bad, we had to rake a swim before we started fishing, then filled the swim in with particle mix to see if we could get the fish/ducks to clear the remaining weed. Neither Phil or I are expert committed carp anglers, we just fish and see what comes along. I had 3 blanks, Phil managed a small carp.
It wasn't great - we will be back !!

Plenty of fish basking yesterday
I will be returning with my rod soon enough to catch them

Their the lake near forest Bank prison it so I used to fish it back in the 90s when it was 3 sections
