Ive been meaning to answer this comment for weeks but been unable to sit at the pc for longer than a minute lol So i will simply say John i take that as a huge compliment thank you as i know how easy it is wo wiz forward. kind regards Matt 👍
Maff....Time for a career change !! Just do blogs...dont care on what but fishing is my No1...about 1 or 2 a day will be fine to start with...😂 Seriously mate...cant get enough of your videos....wherever you are, you have a nack of drawing me in like I'm sat in your swim !!, Thanks Maff...Really !! 👍
Hi Matt. Ian the Bricky here worked on your job on Liverpool university 2 years ago building that nearly impossible lift shaft lol. Enjoyed the video bud a good watch. I’ve actual fished Ratherheath tarn a couple of times on the feeder and enjoyed catching a good few nice size bream probably one of the best stunning venues I’ve fished over the years. I hope your keeping well mate and tight lines. Best regards Ian Wilson 🎣👍🏻
Great video Maff ,as always .What a lake ,just a pleasure to share that with you .Just got my river ticket so am leaving the carp for a month or two .Barbell it is then .
Hi Maff really good blog nice B Roll well edited. The lake its self looks really nice but only being able to do one night would kill it for me . Congrats on getting your first carp from there hopefully first of many.
Hey maff buddy awesome video mate really enjoyed the watch after my shift at work 👍 nice an relaxing much respect, also looking forward to next videos on your walking adventures buddy awesome stay safe everyone much love from Birmingham 👍❤👍
Great of the fishery to have pegs for the disabled you've got to give them that although like you find some of the other rules strange regarding times. Great blog as always Matt! Stunning venue! 👌👍🤛
N1 Matt I just did my first pike fishing video in 5 years lol no good but I'll be out again in another lake in Ireland next 2 week . Great looking lake Matt and looking forward to the next trip.
Great vlog Maff .I'm with you a carps a carp I'm happy to catch them at any size.what a stunning lake, quiet and peaceful.its rare to find lakes like that these days👍🏻👍🏻😁
Stunning place, lovely watch again 👌, look forward to the next one . I'll be back out soon after about 6 years out , i can't wait, watching you're blogs as really give me the bug again, any chance of a shout out 😁👍
Neil Im glad ive given you the bug again i hope you didn't sell all your gear last time as fishermen are fishermen for life we just lose our drive every now and then lol
Never been fishing myself Maff but that place looked amazing just to spend the night at, Looked almost like a wild camp. Fingers crossed you can get your hammock setup there. Take care fella
Can't beat a new water to get the juices flowing Matt, lovely looking lake as well, too shallow for me,the bird life would make it a trauma,I like chilling with the wildlife not wanting them all dead 😂😂😂 which I definitely would, needs a few good clubs further north,it's not all about the size of fish,a twenty for me is still the benchmark
This track is from SCOTT BUCKLEY its called "This too shall pass" Scott produces copy right free music and i use a lot of his stuff so i am a patreon to his channel. you can find the download on this page www.scottbuckley.com.au/library/page/2/ kind regards Matt 👍
Call yourself a wild camper/bushcrafter, and you couldn't collect the rain off the boathouse roof?? Filter it through you sock with some leaves and grass, into a cup?? LOL That looks an amazing place and somewhere you find all too impossible to find these days. What a little piece of heaven indeed, and makes you appreciate your surroundings for sure. Are you not allowed to do one night and then fish the rest of the next day as a day session. Just to eek out the time on there a bit?
Very nice place and very quiet, only thing that would bother me is only allowed to do one night and not getting a option of doing two, and at least you caught m8. Well done and tight lines
Well i get to relax then but im never really alone as im talking to the camera not sure i could fish without the camera ive gotten that used to it, no its not scary unless you let your imagination run wild and then your screwed lol
@@MaffTUK lol yeah but sometimes it's hard not to let mind run.. Esp if you watch horror films a lot... I think the key for me is to do it often and go through the silly illogical fear factor.. I would imagine a genuine dose of real danger would put it all in perspective too.. Never thought that you would feel lonely without the camera
Were the rules made by a backwards thinking difficult annoying person who doesn’t know anything about carp angling at all, who just drew random bizarre rules out of a hat?? Not for me mate no way! Great video Matt, loving the bait boat. What sonar system do you have with that mate?
LOL you are in some tiny way on the right path, the club is predominantly focused on trout and predatory fishing and I'm guessing that this way they will not be inundated with carpers so i kind of get it despite how strange it is. The fish finder is a lucky fish finder a few years old now if you drop lucky fish finder in google you will find it quick enough
maff ive been toying with getting a ticket myself this year, after the ggod things i hear, maybe ill say hello soon, but the one night rule i just learned from you seems a bit tight
yeh it is so you have to be there early doors get on your peg and then you have around 36 fishing in one session im ok with it really it means no rush on a Friday night now be there first light instead
The last time i fished a new lake when i uploaded the video the other fishermen didn't like it. There were no rules to say i couldn't film they just didnt like it. so rather than screw it up for my mates who had fished there for a few years i took the video down. but im glad really as i ended up here which 1000 times better so als well that ends well 😁👍

Honestly though sunny day and a few dog biscuits and a controller float and you'll be landing carp all day long. good luck pal.
maybe they put on heavy restrictions because they dont want the lake to have a typical carp lake "culture" around it making the match fishermen feel like an afterthought..??
Lovely place ratherheath. Fished it a lot 20 odd years ago for tench and bream. Hope its not turned into another carp water. No offence but I'd ban bait boats straight away
I know what you mean but you quickly get used to the idea. I have done another session on another lake with the same rules and I'm starting to get it now
Another cracking video mate keep
Um coming 👌 your the only you tuber I don’t fast forward half the video haha

Clive it is a strange rule indeed but after the second session im beginning to see why they do it, just tkes a bit of getting used to 👍😁
Stunning looking lake, but some unusual rules. Great blog as always!

Oh yes plenty of places for hammocks my preferred way to fish bud best of both worlds
I think we have identical power banks. I use the goal zero micro lantern and dim it right down, worth a try for a super portable unit
yes will last for ages when your lamp is turned down and the light is warm looking to 👍👍😁

Very True Martin they cant al be 40 pounders.......pitty though lol 😁
my goodness it's changed days since I went fishing :)
A few friends of mine also fished it some years back and said the same, a lot of work has been done here cracking place 👍
Good vlog mate 👍
thanks again bud 😁👍
Please can someone recommend some carp fishing venues in the County Durham/North East England area. Clubs, day ticket, syndicates, etc.
Frank sorry mate i dont know any but you could ask "mick the specimen hunter" hes from that neck of the woods
My local lake! You could always join the shoot. The ducks do get thinned out later in the year.
