Now would be a great time to install the piping for a central vacuum system, and additional 2x4’s to hang pictures and for grab bars in the bathroom for future needs
Thanks for the suggestions. We had central vac in the past, and really didn't care for it. We did add extra wood for grab bars. :) I'll chat with the GC about the extra wood for pictures....good one.

Now we are in to the hard part...floor colors, interior and exterior paint colors, light fixtures, appliances, furniture, cabinet colors, countertops, etc. But it's fun.

If we had kids, that would be great to have, but with just us two, we don't think we'd need it. But great suggestion to think about.

It looks good. How will you get out of that tub. Better test drive the tub without water to see what you'll need. Backerboard for grab bars.
Don't plan on ever using it. We are shower people and will have a hot tub (with steps) :)

Where are the stairs to go up to the guest room? I must of missed it?
No stairs, all one floor. The guest room is to the right of the foyer.
Since no basement do you have to build a storm cellar in that part of the country
No, there is no requirement for a storm cellar. Some people make a room a safe room by using cinder blocks. We will just hide in the closet and pray.

...and the woods. But still going to take RV trips.
What happened with the plumbing being in the wrong place? Was it fixed?
Oh yes. As the general contractor says...."You want it, you'll get it."
Are you going to use spray foam insulation?
no, regular insulation
Why does the front face the woods instead of the road?
Good question. It's on a corner lot. The house actually faces the road, you just can't see it yet. Landscaping will be coming at the end. Plus we didn't want to look at the side of the RV garage from the front porch.
Not sure you're going to travel much.

Looking good guys , roof on already ....I'm impressed, this is going pretty well and definately quicker than an English build ....I didn't know what to expect when I saw youd posted a video but I have to say , I wasnt expecting to see the roof on ....Will the workshop/garage be starting after the house is finished ? ..typical man question , In our defence its probably the only part of a property we get away with man caving in 😂
These guys have been out there nearly every day and the builder and general contractor stay on top of things and place orders well in advance. The garage will be installed Aug 12. Not happy about that...should have been done by the end of July.
@@WattsOnWheels aah I see the delays fall in line with English building, never done when they say it will be but everyone elses fault , at least you have another date from them 👍
