There is no way they put a victim in the same room as House without an armed guard. Someone has to protect that poor man from House.
that was a dream of sorts
@@captainc0rgi And that must've been the first clue and dead giveaway
There's a high chance that they didn't, it's house normal behaviour to do whatever he wants in the hospital😂😂
This is all an hallucination. Putting the killer with him was the first clue.
To houses defense, (hallucinated) buddy gave a (weak) reason why he had to be there.
"i want to see you suffer"
"then suffer seeing me" *rips off morphine*
The fact that Hugh Laurie has admitted on Graham Norton that he can't remember basically anything of House makes me laugh so hard.
He says that so people will stop asking him to repeat lines.
@@shrapnel77 He was absolutely the right cast lol
you never actually bothered to watch the interview you are referencing, lol
I love this episode, but there is zero chance that they would leave House alone with this guy.
They didn’t. It was a dream.
good thing they didn't then, this was a hallucination from house.
@tvepic1122 He was really shot, though. The dream was based on things that actually happened.
@@ericriffel8954 He was shot. He was not left alone with the shooter

5:15 “since getting shot is not an fda approved treatment for anything” 😂
Well that's only because it's hard to get volunteers for the clinical trials.
Its treatment for life
Sure it is .... recidivism . :)
That eyeball was way worse than the tongue, which was, in turn, way worse than the gunshot. We all saw the gunshot coming.
“Physically stop me”
“I’m twice your size get your hands off me”
Bruh 😂
I love how he disconnected the guy from his pain medicine and immediately starts to feel pain. Drugs dont wear off that fast if they did drug overdoses would be alot easier to handle lol
just sped up for the camera, I'm sure if house were real he'd enjoy every second of watching that morphine wear off slow and painfully.
@@The_Mang even if he's on a pain pump machine they'd still be checking on him every hour or so and he probably has a button to call orderlies
@@calebfitzsimmons7070 yeah true, but sometimes we just have to let the show be a show
Lol I was looking for this comment.
If it were real, he'd use better drugs. Also, he wouldn't be high or notice any instant effect from 2 vicodin.😂😂
I love how House pulled out his Morphine then sat like an angry kid on the bed.
I think what's interesting about this episode is that since it's all a dream sequence, House either invented the backstory for his shooter or he subconsciously remembered what happened. If he remembered it that's interesting because it means he felt guilty enough about it to hold on to the memory (also explains hallucinating a wife for the patient)
(spoiler alert)
Truth, sana.
He doesn't feel guilty for a cheater. He has a good subconscious memory.
Dead wrong 😂
Nah house just has a really good memory

I think this is one of my fav episodes, bc looking back on it, you really cannot tell if his moments of diagnosis House and his team seem to be connected, is that because everything is a dream or is it because they are so much in synch?
First time I saw this, it hit me hard.
“Wow! It only took two seasons for House to get shot?”
😂😂😂😂
In any other show I’d say that’s jumping the shark. X)
Lol
Honestly surprised that doesn't happen more often.
WYM ONLY???
Salty.
House: * Gets shot *
Also House: So sad, anyway.
I love this episode. It is like a maze to ubderstand what is happening
I wish we found out what really happened to Harpo though.
@@hollyb6885 House is good at subconsciously remembering a lot of things. So I guess at least a part of what we see in the dream was probably the truth House knew somehow.
And to think
One day both chase and the shooter would become 2 of Chicago's finest lol
One shoots House the other punches him.
Which show would that be?
Looked it up on imdb: Chase (Jesse Spencer) is on Chicago Fire, and the shooter (Elias Koteas) is on Chicago PD, which have done crossover episodes with each other in the past.
It also made me realize that House isn't even the longest-running American show that Jesse's been on, and I don't know how to feel about that
It's too bad Chicago Fire has a low production value
Bravest?
House cant go without breaking into Cuddy's office. Even in a hospital gown😂
Wait a second, at the beggining the guy ask who House is, which clearly shows that he never met him before. Then there's this scene where he says that he confessed to House that he had an affair... how is that possible?
It's later revealed that everything in this episode after he's shot is a dream, that's why the internal logic has holes in it afterwards.
House doesn't see his patients and only sees people when he needs to get them to answer something and his team couldn't get them to talk. He was also treating his wife, not him, high likelihood that they never met face to face.
Because House was dreaming the stuff with Moriarty
You’re gonna try to torture HOUSE? In a place where he knows how to use everything in more than 100 ways? And practices torturing on his patients and FRIENDS DAILY?!😂
A Very Useless Attempt
09:40 "He's bleeding into his ocular organ!" HIS EYE. He's bleeding into his eye. That made me giggle. Who wrote that line?
House, in his head
House ripping out the morphine line is so gangster.
IM TRYING TO GO TO BED HERE! AND YOU SHOW ME AN EYE POPPING OUT!?!?! GAAAAH
Sweet dreams... 😂
when his eye popped out got me i feel weak
What kind of Hospital puts a shooter literally right next to his victim, even if he is handcuffed to the bed, that's just messed up even for House
i think it's because they knew house would be angry if they didn't.
It’s all a hallucination remember? House’s brain put the guy who shot him right next to him.
An imaginary one.
@@ThePa1riot 99% sure the guys there at the end of the episode, when he's woken up
@@richardhobbs7360Nah, they flat out mention that security shot the guy dead.
another hint that it was all a dream was at the very start, house was knocked out for 2 days, yet they wheel his shooter in right as he wakes up. one hell of a coincidence
This is the one where house has a hallucination of the patient.
Not just the patient tbh
He even hallucinates the Ketamine treatment that ends up working lmao
@@blindfire3167 And he ends up waking up by killing the patient. He uses the device meant to perform surgery, to slice the patient in half. The patient drops the bullet that hurt House, House picks it up, and wakes up on a stretcher.
No way hizzy...
"Not today, today I'm on morphine."
I may not have been shot before, but I have had substantial damage to one of my arms in the past. The morphine is good....there was still a lot of pain lol
You’d be surprised how much someone always in pain deals with more pain…
Everything depends on the dose... I had 3 broken ribs in surgery and morphine was magical... they were overdosing me, but that's the point I was making... 😂
Me knowing he won’t die bc there are still 6 more seasons: 😮
Moral of the story: Don’t have an affair
No sensible place would put the victim and the culprit together in the same hospital room.... or is he hallucinating or something?
Aye, spoilers for a decade+ old episode: It was all a hallucination. The only parts that were real were the bits leading up to the shooting itself. Everything after was in Houses' head.
@@Thatguywiththelaptop LoL thanks for the confirmation! I saw it in the comments afterwards too but still wondered...

funny how House conveniently fell on his left side so they wouldn’t have to make his leg’s ginormous scar
I like how an ad played the moment he got shot.
One of the best episodes
I agree. But I say that about most episodes of House.
Much respect but uhhh wrong channel I believe...
I couldn't take the temptation. I had to finish the episode. I have PRIME and S1E24 I can go watch the rest of it. That is such a genius (season closer). If I hadn't already watched the next season, I can draw at least 2, super strong paths this series could go down. From this point. And it draws down to everybodies life. Everybody has a moment in life that they can only save one person. Or, you can take it more lax. And everyday, you make decisions that decide how other peoples life will unfurl. Such "deep" analogies. AND it's a season closer. see ya next year.
The shooter must be infuriating if this is his after reaction when he was expecting more
What organ did the first bullet hit? What does the body release when it is in protection mode?
To all the people who haven't seen the full episode, you gotta watch it 100% This episode was such a mindfuck fr, the ending was insane
I think it's either a gunshot wound, or lupus

Elias Koteas being awesome.
They'd NEVER put the perp in the same room with its victim.

If this show happened nowadays, that guy would just be someone House pissed off in 4chan.
I forgot the turn of drama here
We just gonna ignore the whole IV that's not hooked up to House thing but he's hauling it around anyway?
That's part of hallucinations House was having. He got shot, then hallucinated everything after it; the shooter being in the same wardroom as him, him being able to walk around. It's why he flits back and forth between walking around with an IV and being back in the hospital bed, his brain is hallucinating that he's in hospital, but then as he focuses on solving problems he drifts away from the hospital only having the IV as token acknowledgement of the real situation, then his brain catches up and remembers "wait I should be in a hospital bed right now, change scene."
I've just finally finished house it was sad

@Thatguywiththelaptop my theory is that house subconsciously remembered who he was, and thought of a reason why he was shot

It goes to show how fathomless House’s insanity is. Between getting belted by a dead woman’s widower, clocked by a patient’s father, shot by a widower, getting harassed by a cop for a certain rectal thermometer, and floored by Chase, you would think House would learn by now. That’s insanity for you. Doing something over and over again and expecting something different to happen.

It's been a while since I last seen something's interiors though......
why wouldnt guy just sue house for millions for breaking HIPA?
Maybe because the information wasn't health-related and was given voluntarily?
Doesn't HIPA applies to the patients only? He wasn't the patient, he was patient's husband.
I love House, but it drives me crazy why they never explained the identity of the shooter.
They did in this very clip. 6:42
@@J5wingo123 It was revealed that the whole episode was a dream House was having while in coma, thus that confession was not real.
@@Cuythulucould be that was House rationalizing the shooting. Perhaps deep in his subconscious he remembered who he was. Sure he didn't know for sure why.
But if we assume he remembered the guy and the story of the wife being sick did happen then we can assume he also remembered the affair. Then from there we can think House built up a narrative based on the clues of what happened which led to the shooting.
The whole reasoning could be completely wrong, but it's something that the brain pieced together by grabbing memories from deep within House.
And it wouldn't be the only time House solves something while unconscious.
