Do you remember Jim, you were fishing in a lake in Bedfordshire...you went to the "AIRMAN PUB" for a drink with your driver. I recognised you and we had a laugh and a joke..every body joined in ..( most people in the pub were RAF guys, including me , from RAF Henlow down the road)
Some girl tried to chat you up and her boyfriend got the hump..Bob the land lord chucked him and her out of of the pub..
The girls boyfriend rang the police and said there were people in the pub who were car drivers drinking heavily.
For weeks afterwards the police parked down the road from the pub , waiting to catch " drink drivers" it got so bad , Bob ,the landlord, rang the police and complained..which stopped the police doing it..
